Hi,
I have a ML350 g4p server (356816-371). Its about 3 or 4 years old. I want to install an Imation Odyssey docking station which wants to connect to 4 pins of an internal 9pin USB header.
On checking the quickspecs for my server (see attached), it states I have an internal USB port, and on viewing the Motherboard, it looks like I have a 9 pin header there, however the sticker on the side of the case refers to it as a serial port.
I've tried connecting the Odyssey to the header pins, but it doesn't like it (Red light on the unit). It works fine on the internal USB of my PC however. (Green light).
Can anyone tell me what the USB headers should look like, and does a serial port connector look the same, ie one row of 5 pins with another row of 4 pins underneath it:
. . . . .
. . . .
I'm trying to work out if I need to get an add on card to give me the USB headers, or whether I actually already have them, and just need to do a firmware update or similar?
Cheers,
Mike.
