DL 160 G6 + HP StorageWorks FC2242SR

Hi there,

i got a serious problem. I got this shiny new DL160 G6 with one HP StorageWorks FC2142SR HBA built in. Everythings works fine in this configuration.

Later on, i replaced the FC2142SR with a FC2242SR and turned the machine on again. From this moment on i am unable to boot from any media
(CD/DVD, HD, so on). Ich checked my BIOS settings a thousand times, everything is set to boot from HD but nothing happens. The system simple freezes with an awful blinking dot.

After replacing the FC2242SR with FC2142SR again, the system just boots fine into the OS (== SLES 11).

Story goes on.

In my opinion there is no Hardware defect, cause every single hardware comp. can be configured and is recognized correctly.

HBA Controller, HD Disk Array Controller, ...

The link to the HBA Controller: link: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1143907&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=1809835&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4049
isnt much of use, because i cant even boot into an OS

so please put me in the right direction to solve this problem

kind regards
