(For info. I posted this message to HP tape libraries and drives forum but no successful solution yet.)
I have setup Proliant ML570 (2x PIII Xeon 700Mhz) with Windows 2000 server service pack 3 and SureStore Dat40x6e external autoloader. The external autoloader is connected to the server integrated dual channel wide ultra2 SCSI adapter using the original VHD-to-HD external LVD/SE SCSI cable and terminator that comes with the autoloader. The server is also installed with SmartArray 5312 for raid only. I have installed the latest driver for the autoloader downloaded from HP and also applied the latest Proliant support pack for Windows 2000 version 6.30A (23 Apr 03). I have also successfully run and passed diagnostic test using hp StorageWorks Library and tape tools Version 3.2 SR1.
The following event message appear in the event log everytime the server started:
Type: Error
Event ID: 11
Source: Cpq32fs2
Description: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\Cpq32fs2
The message would not appear if the server started with the autoloader turned off.
I'm trying to eliminate this error before continuing with backup software and other software installations. Any help is very much appreciated.
Regards,
Alfian
