The following "HP Enterprise Solid State Drives Datasheet" (published August 2015) identifies 779166-B21 as compatible with G7 Servers in general.

However the latest DL580 G7 QuickSpecs (http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04128284.pdf) does not list 779166-B21 as a disk option but the QuickSpecs were last update on Feb 9, 2015.
I noticed that on the DL980 G7 Quickspecs which have been updated more recently, the sku above (779166-B21) was added on 30-Mar-2015.
Given that both DL580 G7 and DL980 G7 are quite similar in terms of storage subsystem I imagine that 779166-B21 is compatible with DL580 G7 but I need confirmation.
Can I get something close to official resonse please or at least if someone has already got that configuration in place can they confirm it works?
