FOLKS,
I HAVE A REFURBISHED HP PROLIANT DL180 G6 was configured and sent to us when baught from surplus server vendor. it recently locked up during normal operations. we powered down the server and rebooted it. upon restart it came up with messages about updating the bmc kights out firmware after that completed the machines never worked again. over the last week we have tried everything we can think of.
tried ressetting cmos, clearing cmos, clearing rtc, loaded defaults
tried removing and ressetting all card and cached card on the p812 controller
tried updating the bios to latest version
tried updating bmc firmware to latest version
tried updating p812 firmware and ran into issues
nothing is bringing this machine back online like before. we've contacted the vendor and have helped get this far. few things we're wondering is the lights on the p812 for heart beat and activity never light up. also when booting the bios has no boot options nor does it say anything of the p812 being installed. also we've tried finding the rbsu interface and that doesnt seem to be installed or operating either tried updating the firmware for the p812 but was unsucessful. not sure as to which file or version needed and or files we've tried asks for some sort of key. tried contacting hp but due to not having maintence contracts their no help. have no clue of what to do first or what processes to do or check. have no documentation except what we've dug up online. and this machine has so many bells and whistles its easy not to miss something or not know of something. can some one help. thanks
