Hi everyone,
I'm facing strange Integrated Management Log entries related to system overheating:
Informational - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Due to Overheat Aborted Repaired - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Initiated Due to Overheat Condition Repaired - System Overheating (Temperature Sensor 4, Location CPU, Temperature 78C) Informational - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Due to Overheat Aborted Repaired - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Initiated Due to Overheat Condition Repaired - System Overheating (Temperature Sensor 4, Location CPU, Temperature 79C) Repaired - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Initiated Due to Overheat Condition Repaired - System Overheating (Temperature Sensor 4, Location CPU, Temperature 78C) Informational - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Due to Overheat Aborted Repaired - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Initiated Due to Overheat Condition Repaired - System Overheating (Temperature Sensor 4, Location CPU, Temperature 78C) Repaired - Automatic Operating System Shutdown Initiated Due to Overheat Condition
I've found out that this was a known issue of older versions of iLO firmware but now we are on:
iLO Firmware Version 1.80 Jul 11 2014
I've also powered off the affected server and also performed an iLO reset but entries are still appearing.
We have several identical servers (same iLO FW release) but this one is the only server affected by this problem.
What can I do?
Could an iLO FW upgrade fix this issue?
Thank you in advance,
Regards.
