Is HP implementing an auto-self destruct?

I have a ML370 G6 that was inherited from a previous user and it was / is configured as a high end workstation (even though it has 08 R2 S on it due to the fact we could not get 7 or 8 stable).  The warranty expired Saturday the 24th.  Friday when we closed the office it was working fine.  On Monday when we came in the fans were full blast with no video.

I have removed almost all the hardware.  I’m down to one processor, one 2 GiB DIMM and everything disconnected from the system board other then power, fans, ILOD, CPU, Memory, and power buttons.

I have tried fresh 94% PLCB power supplies (sp 660184-001) as well as a working 750 from a DL380 so I’m fairly sure it is not a power issue.

I have tried the 1, 5, and 6 reset.

I’m currently trying http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/DL360-G5-fans-running-at-full-speed-and-won-t-boot/td-p/4258310#.Vi8s_m5OlhH and an hour in still no post.

The Insight Lights Out Display responds if you purposely cause an error.

I have reseated all the components and removed the system board looking for a bad cap.  (Non-found).

The ILO NIC lights up but the does not request a DHCP.  (Note: the only ILO setting was set was to turn of the video for the FireGL card).

It is really strange that it died the day the warranty expired.

Anyone has any Ideas were to go from here?  A trace schematic would be very useful.

Note buying a new sytem board or trash caning it not a option.

Thank you.
