can someone shed some light on swapping a good drive (non-failed) In and out of my server.
I have a running database that can not be stopped and I am considering ways to backup the database without taking it down.
The server has 2 hot swappable drives and it works well for swapping out a failed drive but I want to confirm the same for a good drive.
I am having to make an interim option for backup until my backup appliance is delivered.
I am considering just swappping the 2nd drive with another drive but want to make sure there isnt some other steps needing to be taken.
