Firmware Updates - DL165 G7 w/Smart Array P410

Hi,

I have a DL165 G7 setup with Windows Web Server 2008 R2, and a Smart Array P410 controller, which is configured with RAID1. A couple of months ago there was an incident where the server shut itself down due to overheating. Upon further examination of the SNMP logs it appears that the server sensed that all of the fans were removed (see the log posted below). Later on the server was physically inspected to determine if there was a fan failure, but all of the fans were found to be functioning normally.

I am not sure why this happened, but I am wondering if updating the BIOS would be a good idea since it has been over two years since the system has had any driver/firmware updates. I am also wondering if updating the firmware would cause any issues with the RAID/controller configuration.

If the issue is not firmware related what other things would cause this issue?

Please advise if able.

Thanks and regards.
