We have an ML350 G5 that running ESXi which in turn hosts a virtual Server 2008 Terminal Server. Every now and then, (and there's no pattern to it or regularity at all) we'll get an alert that the VM is offline.
Go to site and look at the box and the second LED down on the front panel is flashing red. Look inside and the only LED thats on, is red, but isn't any of the LEDs identified in the manual or on the digram inside the side panel of the case.
The LED in question is right on the very left hand side of the motherboard between the back of the VGA port and the Serial Port.
I called HP and emailed the contact a picture, the same one attached here, and we were advised to buy a new motherboard. $800 and 3 hours of installation time later and last night exactly the same thing happened.
Does anyone have any ideas what this LED might indicate?
I've attached a picture and although it looks like two LEDs its only one, the other is a reflection in the back of the serial port housing.
