I have 2 DL380P Gen8 servers that need to be re-installed. When I try to boot into Intelligent Provisioning it just skips it and boots to the C: drive with no error message. It also will not boot to USB or virtual CD/DVD.
Here is what I have tried already;
- Updated the ILO firmware to 2.61 Jul 27 2018 via https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5194969&swItemId=MTX_4772eb715cb842acbb03a6707e&swEnvOid=4184
- Updated ROM to 2018.05.21(25 Jun 2018) via https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5194969&swItemId=MTX_f3beff88997d403b875b47fd1c&swEnvOid=4184
- Update Intelligent Provisioning to 1.64.0.0(2 Mar 2017) via https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5194969&swItemId=MTX_01b900175afc4ae68be6c87b39&swEnvOid=4184
- Update Intelligent Provisioning to 1.70(9 Oct 2017) via https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5194969&swItemId=MTX_67851618d0f1444993f262f0f6&swEnvOid=4184 using Virtual CD/DVD-ROM in the ILO. This was unsuccesful as it won't boot from it. It just sits with an underscore in the upper left corner of the screen and doesn't do anything else.
- Check diagnostics in ILO. Doesn't show any error.
- Reformatted the NAND via https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=a00048622en_us
- Reset the server BIOS to factory defaults.
- Tried a voodoo dance with no results.
- Have probably tried other things as well that I can't remember right now.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Just know that I do not have physical access to these servers and can only, for the time being, access them remotely.
