HP Proliant DL320 G6 Server CPU upgrade to X5650 no video or other signs of bootup

I have tried two different X5650 CPUs. According to the HP online guide "HP ProLiant DL320 G6 Server series - Removing and Replacing the Processor" located at:http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02148277#N10013

the Intel Xeon X5650 processor is compatible with this server.

I was careful removing the original, functioning E5506 processor and was very careful (especially taking antistatic measures) installing the Xeon X5650 processor. After installing your X5650, turning on power to the server and waiting a sufficient amount of time no information of any type was displayed to the monitor and it did not seem to boot. I carefully reseated the original processor and various cables inside the server and this provided no improvement. When I put back the original processor, information was displayed to the monitor and the system booted properly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Do I need some sort of BIOS upgrade to provide support for the Xeon X5650 CPU?

Is there some sort of special memory configuration needed to support
the Xeon X5650 CPU? Currently I have 9 sticks of 8gb Crucial 1x72 DDR3 PC3-12800 memory installed. I have tried taking it to 2 sticks per channel.

Any ideas?
