I am using DL380p G8 with one 4port 331FLR 1G NIC and one 2 port 530SFP+ 10G NIC, all of them are connecting to a MSA 2040 with iSCSI.
When I try to create MPIO on the server, it works, unless I reboot the server, the disk connected by 530SFP+ will be labeled as Disk -1 and all traffic will be go though 331FLR.
If the disk is connected with 530SFP+ only, it can works prefectly.
PS1: that 530SFP+ is connected to a swicth with one port only, for Hyper-V VM traffics and iSCSI connection.
PS2: two connections are in single VLAN.
Am I missing any step?
- Use Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 4 to assign IP to 530SFP+ iSCSI Adapter
- Create iSCSI connection by using Windows ISCSI Initiator
- Tested the connection is works
- Change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\mpio\Parameters\PDORemovePeriod to 300
- In command prompt: mpclaim -n -i -d "HP MSA 2040 SAN"
- Create one more connection for 331FLR
- Tested all connections are work
- Reboot
- The disk connected by 530SFP+ is labeled as Disk -1 and not working
Thanks
