In our Proliant ML 570 G2 with Smart Array 6400
we had a failed disk.
Changing the failed disk with the correct spare sent by hp support caused other disks to fail as well.
We removed all the new failed disks and inserted them one by one again. They appeared back working but the new inserted disk appeared failed.
After various tries (firmware upgrade, changing order of insertion of failed disks), we never managed to have the new disk to work together with the old ones.
We asked another new disk to hp support with same result.
It seems that our old disks with GPN 271837-004
cannot stay in the same array with the new ones
with GPN 404670-003. Either the new one or the old ones becomes failed when mixed on the same array.
Anyone had a similar issue?
All our 12 drives are configured whit a big logical drive RAID 1+0.
Regards,
Diego.
