We have a HP Proliant ML370G5 server, with Windows 2008.
This server has a Smart Array P400 raid controller.
One of the disk of this server has failed. This disk was part of a RAID array of type 1+0. The amount of disks of this array is two(I am counting the failed disk).
The spare has arrived and now I have to swap the disk which has failed with the new one.
My questions are:
1) Do I need to turn off the server to plug it? If It were possible I would like to avoid to turn off the server, because it has some Oracle databases for our ERP.
2) What tool do I have to use to instruct the array controller to take the new disk and reconstruct the array?
Thanks in advance for your kind help.
