Hi,
we have a ProLiant ML350 G5 with a Smart Array E200i controller. Recently we noticed that "Cache is temporarly disabled due to low battery voltage (0x0001)"
Array Accelerator Present: Yes
Cache Status: Temporarily Disabled
Cache Status Details: Cache disabled; low batteries.
Array Accelerator (Cache) Ratio: 50% Read / 50% Write
Total Cache Size: 128 MB
Cache Backup Power Source: Batteries
Battery/Capacitor Pack Count: 1
Battery/Capacitor Status: Failed (Replace Batteries/Capacitors)
So we purchased a new battery 307132-001 and replaced it according to the instructions (took old one out, waited one minute, installed new one). Now, this was one week ago, but the status has not changed.
Is there something we must do so that the controller detects the new battery? Or is the new battery broken? Or can the cache module itself be faulty?
Controller firmware is 1.86, this seems to be the latest. (I ran the latest ProLiant Service Pack 2014.02.0.)
