Try to update a 380pG8 Server with SPP 4-2015 via VMWARE 5.5 Node. Inventory runs fine (5 Minutes) till this packet
then i've got an self inventory error
Maybe because of last package is for Gen9 Servers?
That's happens on all our VMWARE Servers.. always on this point
Somewhere else?
PS: Running this SPP as Boot CD on same server works fine..no inventory error
I have a couple DL360 G7s running in my rack whose original support is coming to an end. I want to get U2FZ1E, but my VAR wants to sell me the higher priced U2JQ3PE, saying the latter is the only thing that comes up in post warranty. Is U2FZ1E an option for me, so I can continue to receive firmware and some level of support?

So I upgraded a 380 gen9 to the latest and greatest IP. Then installed an OS.
I was surprised to find out that Intelligent Provisioning 2.10.83 doesn't install ANY of the HP specific software such as Array Manager or HP Management Web Site
It does install HP specific drivers but I can't even manage the array controller without having to go back; look up files; download; install; etc
What is the point of IP?
When did this change occur? Older IP installed all of that?
Obvisouly I did a vanila IP install; accepted all defauts; NO custom choices that might account for why non of the HP programs are installed with the OS.
We have many gen8 servers deployed using IP and every time IP installs ton of HP software for management; integrated event viewier; array management; management agents software; event notifier and so forth???

I have 3 DL380 G5s running VMware 3.5 ESX. They have running fine but one began a new problem. It just halts and shuts off. I checked the ILO logs, the VMware logs, etc., and there is no reason shown in any log why. I ran 25 passes of Diagnostic software with a good outcome.
So I rebooted VMware host and just let it run with no VMs running on it. After about 8 hours or so, it did the same thing. When it halts I get the following LEDs:
System Health Blinking Amber and both CPU leds are solid Amber. I checked all the fans visually and they are all running. The CPU heat sinks are nice and clean.
Has anyone any ideas of what needs fixing on this machine?

Hi. I have a SAS disk that contains data from one server. A RAID0 configuration single volume. Pretty standard. Now I need to install it in another server, a Proliant ML350 G5. I need to import the volume without deleting the data in it. Is this possible?? When I insert the disk it becomes available in the Array Configuration Utility to create a new RAID but I do not wish to erase it.

I have a Proliant 380DL G5 with 8 SATA drives. The first 2 drives are a RAID 1 with 500 Gig HDD's. The next 3 drives are a RAID 5 with 1 Tb HDD's and the last 3 drives are also a RAID 5 with 1 Tb HDD's. I am running ESXi 4.1 with about 8 Windows 2008 R2 VM's. One of the drives in my 1st RAID 5 had a steady amber LED a few weeks ago. This I believe means the drive has failed or will fail. I hot swapped the drive with an identical drive and after a few seconds the green LED started blinking steady once every second or so. This indicates that the RAID is rebuilding and the drive should not be removed. That was about 3 weeks ago. I have done this in the past and it usually takes just a day or 2 to rebuild.
Any ideas on what to do? I would like to pull the steady blinking drive out and replace with another.

I have 2x2GB HP UDIMM replaced with 1x 16GB Kingston KVR16R11D4/16 RDIMM.
BIOS detects full 16GB, but Win Server 2008 R2 HPC has only 8GB, other half is 'hardware reserved' in perfmon.
Memory mode is "advanced ecc", already tried another options and speeds.
The processor is QuadCore Intel Xeon E5606.
I didn't find an 'Online Spare Memory' option in my BIOS, as it was stated in neighbour topic.
How can I use all 16GB in Windows?
I have a ML350 with a E200i controller (onboard>?) that which seems to have 8 ports for SAS drives (four taken up by hdds) and i have a SATA backup device that i want to plug into it but I cant for the life of me find a SATA port on the controller or anywhere else for that matter. Does anyone have an idea, maybe i need to have a SATA cable with a SAS backplane? If so are there any power issues that i need to consider?

I am having issues getting a couple of servers accessing some LUNS on a netapp FAS3020 array. This is the first time my company is using it.
The servers are proliant dl5585 g2 using FC1142SR fibre cards.
The drivers versions are: 8.01.06.01
BIOS = 1.09
Firmware = 4.00.23
The OS is redhat4 update5.
The LUNS appear to be presented ok, I was wondering if there was anything on the OS / server side I was missing ?

We have this condition being logged against both 1242SRs in Dl585G2's. Each HBA only has 1 fibre in use, so I thought probably the non used ports are causing this. But then other 585's with the same config don't log the condition. Any ideas?

I have an after Sales challenge. Our Customer ordered a HP Packaged Cluster (HP PackagedCluster DL380G4 / 1xMSA500) SN: GB8731P8SA to his available Cluster. This Cluster is equal to the new one.
On these both Cluster runs SQL 2005.
After the complete Installation of the Cluster the Customer told us, that he want redundancy on both MSA500. That means the Data on the MSA500 should be replicate to the other MSA500.
The Problem is, that both Cluster (one Cluster consist of two DL380G4 Host) runs separately.
The challenge is to replicate the primary-data of the First MSA500 to the second MSA500 and inversely.
One both MSA500 is enough HDD capacity.
How can we solve the problem?
Can we solve the Problem with Hp Storage Works Mirroring Server Software, or can you recommend an other solution?

I've a big problem since we're change 2 hard disk on our proliant ML 370.
The second hard disk is recognize, but not on the RAID 5 , only like a disk .. without configuration. The controler detect a SCSI ID 6 ??? see the picture.. How can I change that without rebuild the RAID...

I got a ProLiant DL380 G6 iLo 2 server without any OS and i need to monitor it's RAID, disk and so on, health with SCOM 2012, i know that WS-Managament pack should find devices even without OS and monitor it's health, but for some reason it is not able to find my server. What other ways are there to do it?

Server Bios FW is P67 (07/02/2013) ILO3 FW 1.16 Dec 17 2010.
I had read some solution on this issue by first updating the fw ver 1.18 to 1.2 or 1.26 then to 1.80. my problem is how to get/download ILO 3 fw ver 1.2/ 1.26/1.28 which is not available from HP Drivers Support Website.

The server will not boot from Windows by DVD or Flash drive. The server will only boot from the diagnostic CD. I need help on another way to boot the server or reinstall the operating system. Any suggestions?
