Im having a similar issue on a brand new out of the box, HP DL380 Gen9, whereby the Array B140i shows up as working, but when i try and run the configuration, it keeps telling me there are no physical disks present, but ive 8 of them installed in the system.

e200i on Raid 5 logical drive Parity Initialization Status at 0%
Hi there,
I have a HP ML350 G5 where we have replaced a failing HD in a Raid 5 array of 3 disks, the replacement drive has synchronised but in ACU it still shows a information alert for the Parity Initialization Status (currently at 0% and has been for the last 4 days since the drive was changed).
If I view the Information Status Messages I get a Code 785; Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on Logical Drive 1 (136.7 GB, RAID 5). If background parity initialization is queued, it will start when I/O is performed on the drive. When background parity initialization completes, the performance of the logical drive will improve.
I need to change another drive soon as it is displaying F155: The read/write hard error rate recorded in the monitor and performance log is above the acceptable threshold.
However I daren't change another drive until the parity sync is complete, does anyone have any thoughts as to futher actoin I should take?

Host bus adapter H222 and RAID for Prolian DL380e Gen8
Hello,
I have server DL380e Gen8 (P/N: 648255-421) with B120i RAID controller and H222 Host Bus Adapter with attached tape drive (LTO 5). Up to now I was using configuration with 4 LFF SATA drives. Now I've added 2 more LFF SATA drives but unfortunately I cannot find second cable for the backplane ( 2 port SATA cable 675856-B21) because is not available any more (which is extremely strange for server still in warranty)
If I connect the second port on the backplane with SAS cable to the internal port of the H22 Host Bus Adapter, will the RAID controller see the disk?

Proliant ML350 G5 E200i controller failed battery message cannot be remedied
I get the message below for the E200i controller on the system. Even though the battery voltage checked out, I bought a replacement, and the message stayed the same. So I got a brand new controller ... and the message STILL persists.
I've installed every updated driver for the system that's available, save for the BIOS update, which HP will not let you have without a service agreement. The drive controller is Intel 6300ESB Ultra ATA, and I have the latest drive
There are two connectors on the card that have never been connected to anything. Does something besides the bus connector have to be attached to the motherboard to report the battery power? Is there any difference between what the program reports for a weak battery and NO battery?

I bought a new External Tape LTO 3000 ultrium but my SAS controoler (P410 if i recall correct) dont have Externarl Port.
I search for P212 but seem to be in "no sold anymore" state.
My question is: can i use H222 HOST BUS ADAPTER or a P222 on my server (both is raccomanded for G8 servers)
In teory exist a cable that permit use internal SFF8087 using a pci "slot". I cant figure out if is AE464A or AG452A. In both case seem to easy to find a H222 controller.

System currently defaulted to typical configuration settings ?
Hi,
I've got Proliant DL 360 G7 which is behaving erratically, it always lose the iLO configuration (IP address kept on changing by DHCP) and everytime I reboot the server it always taking so long time to show the POST screen, because it must go to the memory diagnostic screen.
I also see there is a glimpse of error during the reboot mentioning about
System currently defaulted to typical configuration settings
Somehow the OS running is not affected by this, I wonder what could be the cause and the solution to this issue ?

ML350Gen9 IP2.30.275 server2012r2 "Windows: not supported"
Hi Everyone,
Every search I have made on this has no reference to the above error or relates to other issues entirely.
Have taken dleviery of new ML350gen9, and in trying to install Server2012r2 Eval iso ( have tried 3 different ISO's at this stage) from Technet, Intelligent Provisioning will not accept them displaying "Windows: not supported" after selecting the source device and "continue".
We have tried:
- ISO from USB.
- "Rufus" install formatted as both FAT and NTFS
- ISO from WIN network share
unfortunately do not haved a DVD drive to use
IP version is 2.30.275, maintenance firmware check shows latest available from HP is 2.30 (so would be a downgrade if reflashed) and all firmwares are latest.
latest ISO tested is: 9600.17050.WINBLUE_REFRESH.140317-1640_X64FRE_SERVER_EVAL_EN-US-IR3_SSS_X64FREE_EN-US_DV9
Has anyone come across this before?

Dl380 Gen9 Won't boot after reboot. - It was just fine before!

I have a DL390 Gen9 that after a reboot, it wont boot into windows. I have an OCZ Revo Drive and 6 - 2.5" SAS drives in a RAID5 with a hot spare. The OS is on the Revo Drive with Windows 2012 R2 and the data is on the RAID. Originally the OS and data were both on the RAID, but once the server rebooted the OS would not come back up. I tried fixing the mbr, tried repairing windows, and nothing worked. I ended up reinstalling windows. It booted up and life was great, but once it rebooted agian, the same issue occured. Just incase, I installed the OS on the revo drive. I did not reboot afterwards, but they had a scheduled power outage in that office and now that the server rebooted it wont come up again.
I have tried both UEFI and Legacy BIOS mode, tried wiping the RAID, and recreating it, and there are no USB drives or what not plugged into it.
Also, the RAID is set as GPT with 1TB drives, but this is only data now, the OS is on the Revo Drive which is 250GB.
Do yall have any ideas of what could make it not boot into the OS?

DL380G9 10-Gb-533FLR-T iscsi Esxi6 iscsi tcp offload aka hardware dependend iscsi

I have installed a new dl380Gen9 with a HP FlexFabric 10GB 533FLR-T Adapter onboard.
I Used the HP Customized ESXi Build and updated the Server with the last SPP from Oktober.
After the sucessfully install i tryed to use the Hardware dependend iscsi. But i cant see the vmhba under storage in the vsphere client. There is only the SATA controller and the Smartarry but no Brodcom.
I tryed to open a case at hp but i dont get no responde till jet.
I downloaded to be shure the newest firmware and also drivers from the hpe support page for the nic but if i try to upgrade or install im getting the notice that already have the latest driver installed.
I Read the article about iscsi Offlload
The Site 24 under VMware discripes how to configure but well i still cant see the vmhba.3x.
Has anyone the same problem or have any idea how to fix it?
I dont want use the software iscsi cause of the load witch we ar generating over the 10GB nic....

ML110G7 and B110i controller
After a crash of our backup server which is a ML110G7 with integrated B110 array controller attached to 2 x SATA 160 GB drives in RAID level 1, we are unable to boot from disk running W2K8R2. So we tried to do a new OS setup, but failed when installing it to disks. OS doesn't see devices, whereas a Linux boot with G-PARTED shows the disks as expected.
We tried to integrate device drivers from website via iLO mounted iso device during installation but it fails. Is it possible controller is damaged allthough option rom shows the disks and recognizes raid and logical drive?

The Installation with SPP 2015.10 fails with package cp025087.exe (HP QLogic NX2 10/20GbE Multifunction Drivers for Windows Server x64 Editions 7.12.41.0 1 Okt 2015) on a Proliant DL385 G7 Server with Windows 2012 R2.
Erromessage in HPSum log is a fault during HP Virtual Bus Device installation. Could someone support me to solve this issue?
