I would like to find out if there is any way to automate checking bios and ilo firmware levels on proliant DL380 Gen 8 servers ?
There are 45 servers that I need to check for a customer to fix a ilo nmi bug and their servers haven't all been discovered under Sim and I'd rather not have to manually log onto each server ilo .
What I would is idealy a script where I could put in the hostname and it would output the firmware levels.

i have an issue durring these days i need a consulting. i put a new blade server in the rack and it gives me this error:
POST Error: 1770-Slot X Drive Array - Disk Drive Firmware Update Recommended
in the server information it says:
The server does not contain any mezzanine cards
is this error is because i dont have and FC HBA on my blade? or there is one but it doesnt work properly.
after installing the vmware this folder: /proc/scsi/qlaxxx wasn't there so i thought maybe it's the reason that the blade is not able to connect to HP Array
the blades are: BL460c G6 and the enclosure is c7000

I have Smart Array P440ar Controller - 300GB RAID 1 Logical Drive.
i can reinstall the Windows 2012R2 but i want to know why suddenly this happened? Is there any conflict between Windows 2012R2 and HP Proliant DL380 Gen9? Because i am affraid that in the future might happened it again. This server will be used for our DataBase.

What kinds of USB sticks can be placed into the DL360 G9 internal USB 3.0 ports??
I ask because I want to get USB sticks for vSphere log storage, which must be separate from the local SD cards upon which vSphere is installed and running.
I am thinking of 32 or 64 GB SanDisk sticks.
Does HP sell any over-priced USB storage that one can use in these internal USB 3.0 slots??
Any suggestions on how to get vSphere to recognize these sticks as local internal storage??

But is there a list for all the syslog messages? I need this list to ingegrate with customer's SMS with some keywords, but I cannot find related information on google or HP official web site...

When i do the esxcli software vib list | grep Hewlett I do see the scsi-hpsa, but no hpacucli. Then when I try to run commands on the controller it fails. When I try to run a /opt/hp/hpssacli/bin/hpssacli ctrl all show config I get -sh: /...: Not found.
Can anyone let me know what I am missing here? I am very new to this.

I have got a ML370 G6 Server with a power issue. Neither power supplies have any LED activity and nothing on the board or front.
I have done the following with no change.
reseated both PS and cords
new PS either socket
new cords
tested outlets
Is there anything to tell me that it is the power distribution board?

The quick spec says maximum RAM for this box is 32G but I see alot of other information out there which shows a max RAM of 64G so which one is it? 32 or 64?

He revisado el enlace "HP Enterprise Servers Retired Products" donde estos equipos aparecen en lista (retired), pero no se si esto es evidencia sufuciente para ser catalogados como equipos sin soporte vigente por parte del fabricante, además que no se especifica una fecha exacgta en la cual entraron a tallar con dicha categorización.

Hi to all... I have bought an ML150 G9 server with integrated B140i controller. Unsatisfied by the performance of the onboard controller (a software raid) i want to install a P400 controller that i already have, but in every pci-x slot that i put it i never see the status led powering on and neither see the controller bios confgiuration page.
How i need to proceed?

Since 2-3 weeks now, my main server is hanging for no apparent reasons. Was working without issues for more than 4 months in a row before that. Everytime, a simple reboot fix the problem.
Current setup :
I leave the server with PuTTy openned and top running, when it hang (about 1 to 3 times a day), I see a high load, about more than 60, all web services (HTTP, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, etc) are unresponsive. When connecting with PuTTy, I'm able to log, but the prompt never appears, same thing on local prompt (keyboard + screen). Also, I've seen that green LEDs on drives are flashing simultaneously at a frequency of about 0.5Hz - 1Hz (normally they flash way faster and in random order).
I first suspected DDoS attacks, etc, added many fail2ban validations, external firewall TCP requests limitations, etc. After, I verified firmwares versions (including P400), upgraded all to latest versions, the problem still occurs. I've also synched root to another DL380 G5 (same hardware except 4 x 450GB drives) to replace the server, same issue again.
Now I'm wondering if it could be the CCISS driver that could have an issue in the version I'm using?

中古でML350G6のサーバを入手しました。
CPUがXeon E5502だったため、E5520を新規に購入し乗せ換えようとしております。
ただ、CPU乗せ換え後にヘルスLEDが赤く点灯し、長いビープ音が止みません。
可能性としてBIOSが古いことを疑いまして、BIOSのアップデータを入手したいのですが、
標準保証がないためダウンロード不可となっております。
何か良い手立てはないでしょうか？

Il server mi è stato regalato, e l'ho rimesso un pò a nuovo per utilizzo personale, installando il processore XEON X3210.
Putroppo senza l'ultimo aggiornamento BIOS il processore non funziona come dovrebbe (non viene rilevata la temperatura e la ventola gira sempre allo stesso modo). E non riesco a scaricare l'ultimo BIOS dal vostro sito in quanto il prodotto non è più sotto nessuna garanzia. Come fare?

A friend gave me this server, and i renewed it for personal use, installing the XEON X3210 CPU.
Unfortunately without the latest BIOS update the CPU doesen't Work well (The CPU temp is not detected and the FAN is not spinning right). And i cannot download the latest BIOS from your website, because the product as no warranty now. Someone can help me?

I have a ML350G9 with Server 2012 R2 that intermittently seems to lose network conncetion.
- Shared drives vanish on the clients
- Connections to SQL server (SAP) crash
- RDP session shows error
and everything reconnects after a few seconds.
It could be a coincidence, but i feel like it started last friday night when I applied the June Microsoft updates.
I cant find anything in all the logs or event viewer - I have no clue what happens here.
Anyone an idea?

The server is running Windows 2008 32bit. I am getting BSOD with 0x00000050 errors every couple weeks so I am trying to run the diags but can't get past the 93%. I have rebooted and installed all the latest drivers using HP SUM. I am launching the diags from the managment home page.
Any ideas how I can get this to complete? I am hoping it will give me a clue as to what is causing the BSOD.

There is this one division in our office who wants to assess their existing server, the HP Proliant ML 350 G6. At a first glance, it's obvious that it hasnt been used since it was bought in January 2010 and after 6 years, their office decided to use it. My problem now is I am not that well versed with servers much more I couldn't find cds that came with it. Now, I wonder if there is anybody here who could help me where to start. I believe it has no OS yet.
