Is there a way (SMH or iLo?) to change the time in the BIOS/UEFI on a HP Server without having to shut it down and go in to BIOS/UEFI?

Есть сервер ML150G6. Какой нужен кабель для подключения SATA1, SATA2, SATA3, SATA4 разъёмов, расположеных на материнской плате на BackPlane панель? Есть кабель от RAID-контроллера Intel RS2BL040. P.n. кабеля 6017B0339301 Rev:A01, но через него сервер не видит дисков. Если диски подключить напрямую через SATA - то видит.
Подскажите, какой нужен для этого кабель?

331T NIC and DL360 GEN 9 Compatibility?
Hi All,
I have purchased a DL360 GEN 9 and I am trying to find out how to install a 331T NIC?
The 331T NIC card is PCIe and I can see a suitable PCIe slot on the rear section of the DL360 GEN 9.
Are the DL360 GEN 9 and teh 331T compatible or would I have to use a FlexibleLOM type NIC?

Proliant ML115 G5 not responding
Hello,
I'll keep this as short as possible.
I have a ML115 G5 that has been in service for some year. Recently it stopped booting, i have the following lights:
Board: power? health? led on (green), heartbeat led blinking (green)
Case: power light (yellow) on
If I hit the power-on button it will fire fans at full blast and do nothing besides that, even with nothing connected (i mean, no processor, no ram, no hdd, ncd)
Is this something fixable via software?
I have seen a fair bit of posts on the forums where solutions are described, but the files/media they use are nowhere to be found...
Or does this mean I have to replace the motherboard?
I'm mostly guessing its this one, but wanna listen to experts first.

DL380 G9: Enable HDD uid on CentOS using hpssacli
Hi there,
I'm having trouble to get the identification led on a DL380G9 working. The server is oacked with H240 Controllers, no LV configured, just presenting 24 1.8TB SAS Disks to the system. Operating System is CentOS 7.
Now, using hpssacli works to get information about controller and disks. But when I try to set the identification LED to on, the server is blocked for several seconds and I get an error (see below). Is there another way to enable this LEDs? I am using hpssacli-2.40-13.0.x86_64.

DL380 G9 Server Crashes
Hi Everyone,
We have a vSphere cluster of (6) DL380 G9 servers hosting a slew of different vm's. These hosts were running fine for several months. They had a single HP 82Q HBA (2-port) connected to our SAN. We recently added new HP SN1100Q HBA to the servers for Fiber Channel connectivity to a new SAN.
After the new HBA install we have seen (3) server crashes. In each of the crashes the iLO log shows PCI Bus Error (Slot 4, Bus 128, Device 3, Function 0). The new HBA was installed in Slot 1 in PCI Riser 1. Slot 4 with the original HBA was in PCI Riser 2.
We've opened cases with HPE and VMware. Our fear is that we don't know what's causing it or when / if it will happen again. There is no real rhyme or reason that we have found to this point. We have replaced (2) HBA's, and the last server crash had just occurred. But it's likely that will be the 3rd HBA to be replaced.
Anyone seen anything like this? Trying as many avenues as possible, vendor support as well as community support, to try to get this resolved.

HP ProLiant DL560
I just aquired a what I was told a ProLiant DL 560, It was used as a spare and never installed on the network, it has Windows 2003 enterprise sp1 server installed. I downloaded the manuals for the DL560 gen8 and gen 9, the illustrations don't look any thing like what I have. Is there a way to determine what I have by model number? The previous owner (not computer literate) said he lost the password but I can't get to a login screen, (no video). If I can get to a bios screen can I just re-install the OS and put a new password and user id in? The model number is D 346kzh5h042 it has dual zeon 2.8ghz processors a floppy drive and a cd drive and two 146.8 10 k ultra 320 scsi drives. This is my first server so I need real basic help. I have built desktops and used them so I know a little bit but it seems like servers are a whole new level to get to. Thanks for any help you can give me. danl1

HP Proliant 380 Gen8 and Gen 9 Firmware/Driver updates
I am fairly new to HP servers and using them in a virtual environment like we have now. I am trying to learn more about these machines and need some information from the community. I have 7 VMWare esxi hosts that are all Proliant DL380 Gen 8 and Gen 9. Should I regularly update the firmware and/or drivers on these or is it just if I have issues with certain functions? Aslo, what is the best method to update them to the latest firmware and drivers? Could someone point me to a specific document on setting up iLO on these that are running ESXi 6.0, because currently we do not have it running and it is my understanding that this requires a license?

DL580 G7 Ram Configuration Question
Hello, thinking about getting a DL580 G7 with 4x E7-4870s. My workload needs the fastest ram speed possible and according to this

Does that mean that if I put say 32x1GB sticks in, will it be at max speed or would 64x1GB be needed to achieve max speed? Aside from future expansion, please tell me if this is at all remotely right as I am confused as how to configure the ram and how many sticks to buy to achieve maximum ram speed. Thanks

RAID 1 Expansion - ProLiant DL360 Gen9 - P440ar
We have a ProLiant DL360 Gen9 server with a Smart Array P440ar Controller. We currently have two 240GB SAS SSD drives in a simple RAID 1 configuration. We would like to increase the total drive capacity in the server and are looking increase our available storage. What options are available to expand the mirror? Is moving to RAID 10 a better option or easier migration?
This server is an ESXi host, so SSA will be performed offline.

Moving RAID 5 to another bays
Hi!
Can we move a RAID5 (pos 1-2-3) to other bays 5-6-7 without data loss?
This ML350G6 has an issue... Every year the disc on bay 1 must be replaced...
I would like to try different bays. Is it possible?

I Cant Login to My HP Proliant ML110 G4
I am not able to login into my HP PROLIANT ML110 2012 Server,each time I boot up the server I get wrong time and date, I feel that is preventing me from logging into the device, I have tried booting from the BIOS to change the date and time settings but the date and time is never correct after several attempts to resolve the issue, please I will appreciate your assistance on this issue, thank You

ML110 Gen9 battery status unknown ESXi 6.5
I just set up a Proliant ML110 Gen9 with a P440 Smart Array controller (and battery) running ESXi 6.5 - HPE custom image. ESXi is reporting "Unknown" for Battery on HPSA1. In iLO everything reports okay.
Seems the same as this problem reported here: https://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=8223671&docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c04760589, but that references updating vibs for earlier versions of ESXi. Has anyone run in to this with a Gen9 running 6.5?
My SmartArray firmware version is 4.52 and iLO is 2.5.

DL380G5 Interlock fail, No power
Hello,
Today i experienced some strange behaviour on one of our DL380G5: After removing it from the rack and install it to another one the internal status LED began to flash red. The LED indicating an interlock failure lit up.
After searching through the forum i thought the issue was that the pci riser was not seated correctly. Removing and installing it a few times does not show any improvement. Another thread suggested it might be a faulty power supply. Therefore i switched one from a running machine into the faulty one: problem still exists. I removed the psu bay completely, cleaned it and inserted it again: problem still exists.
After that i completely removed every part and put it back together just to see the status LED still flashing red.
On the mainboard there are a few LEDs labeled CR4, CR5 ...
As soon as i plug in power the first 4 led begin to light up one after another. a few seconds later CR10 and CR11 are both flashing. The other LEDs go out after a while.
I also swapped out the battery on the mainboard.
Also tried to remove all batteries/psu and switch the dip 6 (maintenance) to on and power the server up. Nothing happens.
Before buying any replacement parts i would like to know if this is a known issue or can be resolved in another way.

Add 3.5 LFF HDD to Proliant DL360e Gen8 SFF
I've bought a HP ProLiant DL360e Gen8 SFF server. I do have a need of adding around 4 2.5 inch SSDs to it. However I need to add a few 3.5" hard drives to it now.
Is there any way I can do that without changing the cage to LFF? As I obviously need both SFF and LFF.
I've heard of some LFF extensions, but I have no idea what part I should buy so I can extend my DL360e with LFF bay slots. I'd appreciate any info regarding that.

HP Prolliant D380 G6 GPU Passthrough
Hi
I have HP proliant DL 380 G6 server and i installed Nvidia Quadro 2000 for GPU passthrough in Xenserver. Device is showing perfectly in VM and installs drivers fine and asking for reboot VM but after restarting i only see yellow exclamation mark on Quadro 2000 in Display adaptor in Device Manager.
Same card is working fine in x3100 M5 server on same operating system.
Any idea why ?

ML350 G9, Windows 2016, cant run Hyper-V
After installing Hyper-V role on my Windows 2016 (With GUI) i cant connect to the local Hyper-V server. Get this error
"an error occurred while attempting to connect to server check that the virtual machine management service is running and that you are authorized to connect to the serer"
What to do?
