I'm facing an issue of installing Redhat 6.5 customize by Ericsson for there application.
So I have already create raid on a server proprerly and when I reboot the server the dvd of installation start and when the wizard of installation reach the place to select local hard disk, I cannot see the local disk, It looks like a problem of driver, I upgraded firmware and drivers with HPE SPP but I'm still facing the same issue

on an ML150Gen9 server hardware alerting works only partial. I.e. when I pull the network cable and plug it in again I get an e-mail warning ("network link restored"). A broken cache battery also triggered a mail alert some weeks ago. But when I connect an USB flash drive nothing happens.. This was different on an older system, which was not setup by myself, where I got an e-mail "USB drive plugged in". Even when I pull out the hotspare drive of my RAID 1 system (P440, all drives are hotplug) I don't get a message. Can't find a way to configure whether or which incident should trigger an alert. It's ILO 4 with firmware version 2.53; OS ist 2012 R2, SPP 2017.04 is installed.
Does someone have an idea what could be the reason?

My University has bought a DL580 Gen 9 before months. The server only runs for one hour and then go off automatically. then we tried to change some cofiguration on the power. then the second problem comes:->The power, fans and network adaptor card are running fine,. But no display to the monitor via the VGA cable and the Keyboard and mouse i plugged on the USB ports are not functional. The light on the mouse sometimes on and then go off immediately. Please i need the solution

My server's ILO isn't getting a DHCP address on whichever interface is connected to my LAN.
I have an ML30 Gen9 set up where NIC port 2 is connected to my WAN gateway. I run pfSense in a Hyper-V VM as a firewall and router. NIC port 1 is connected to the LAN. When I use the Online Configuration Utility, I have 'Shared Network Port' set to 'Enable LOM', and the 'SNP Port' is port 1. There is no VLAN.
I've tried switching the ports around so that the WAN is connected to port 1, and LAN to port 2, but what keeps happening is that a DHCP address is only given to ILO when the SNP port is set to the port connected to the WAN gateway, and the WAN gateway's DHCP server gives a local address of 192.168.2.x. On the port connected to the LAN, the utility reports an address of '0.0.0.0'. My LAN's DHCP server is running on a Windows Server 2016 domain controller, and it hands out addresses in the 192.168.1.x range.
I recently changed the LAN network to use private IP addresses. Previously, the Windows DHCP server was giving IP addresses in the 10.0.0.x range. ILO did in fact receive a proper IP address under this scenario, but in this case, both NIC ports were connected to the LAN.
Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Noob alert. I just acquired this old proliant dl580, gen5. I can't for the life of me identify the peripherals power cable/molex or what have you. I want to know how many pins I am working with and why I can't find them as it seems to me it should be obvious. Ultimately, I want to know if I can hook up a radeon rx 460 slim with an 8 pin power input. tia!~

i bought a HP DL380 server that somehow not bootable. i have tried windows 2008 server, ubuntu server, result is the same. it doesn't have any issues to install software until rebooted. it keep cycling and not able to find boot sectors. i moved the hard drives to my friend's HP server, it boots fine, not issue at all. my friend thought it could be an issue of p400 stroage controller and reset it, but still not working. he ever later broght a CD and refreshed firmware, still no effects.
could any expert here provide some adive to fix this?

I recently upgraded my ProLiant BL460c Gen8 from 2.2.5 to 2.2.11. After upgrade, i found that its iLO version got updated from 1.30 to 2.50, but both Smart Array P220i/P420i remains at 4.68 & 6.34 instead of upgrading to 8.00.
Any particular reason for this? Blade's TPD version is 6.7.0.0.1_84.20.0

I have a ProLiant DL380 Gen9 with smart array p440ar, and I tried to use passthrough.
I think if smart array p440ar is connected directly to VM client, VM client will detect SAS disk connected with smart array p440ar physically.
I checked SAS disk is detected well by host server, when passthrough is not used.
But VM client detect only smart array p440ar, can not detect SAS disk when passthrough is used.
The OS of VM client is Linux Ubuntu PC version, and server OS is vSphere ESXi 6.5.
SAS disk is configured by HBA mode of smart array p440ar.
I think this problem is related to driver, but I don't know how to solve.
Does anyone know the way to solve this problem?

Past weekend I set up my new HP ProLiant ML10 Gen9 server. Because an ILO board is missing I was happy about Intel AMT being supported. After activation of AMT i was wondering about KVM missing on config menue. The AMT website I can open but I cannot open KVM using "MeshCommander" or any other tool. According to the HP Docu HP Docu of the server, KVM can be enabled in MEBx. The menue offers "Username and password", "SOL" and "Storage Redirection" but not "KVM Feature Selection" shown in page 8 in HP Docu.

Good morning , could you support to me in the following issue ? we have DL 380 G5 installed and we have RAID1 ,using smart array P400 card , each time when we try to rebuild the second disk to establish the RAID1 array , it has passed all the step I mean rebuilding , Ok , but after that it changes to predictive failure according to event diagnostic event id 1216 , I have investigated about it , and it could be because some issues related to hard drive drive could have been reached , sectors issues and pending counts enable the flag and it showes the message predictivable failure , we have tried with another disk but it has happened the same , the fix could be to get a new disk same size and functionality of located at bay 0 and put in bay 1 and if it continues could exchange the first one also by a new one and configure a RAID 1 again , and do a restore of tje information , Is it posible ?
Also Is there any problem if we can move the disks from bay 1 , 2 to bay 3 ,4 and to try again , If we change the disks from bay 1 , 2 to bay 3, 4 I s there any problem with the functionality of the RAID , I mean in the step when we installed the second disk I mean , shutdown the server , change the disk 1 to bay 3 , boot server , then put the second disk into bay 4 and try to rebuild the RAID1 , it could be done without any lost of data , Is it correct ?

may I update ILO 4 from 2.10 to 2.53 in one step or does it still require incremental updates aka. step by step updates ?
That would mean going from 2.10 to 2.53 = flash 2.11, 2.20, 2.22, 2.30, 2.31, 2.40, 2.42, 2.44 etc.
Are XML backup settings always compatible ? Will the firmware overwrite/delete all actual settings ? Does someone know if settings are going to be removed or added between all these different versions ?

What I have:
1 x d2600 with 12 x 3T disk
1 x dl3600 with 4 x 10T disks
1 x dl360 gen8
HP Smart Array P420i Controller => connected to internal disks
HP Smart Array P822 Controller => connected to d2600
HP H221 contoller
I added the h221 controller in server but the system didn't see the controller and I lost the p822 controller.
Question: Is it possible to connect d2600 and d3600 to dl360p gen 8 server?
Any reference to where this has been performed would be great!
Any reference of where the p822 and h221 controller can function both in 1 server would be great.

I've installed an iLO 4 Scale Out license (which shows as status tick OK) for a DL380 G8.
When I try to use the iLO standalone software to connect to server remotelly, I get the following error message:
"The iLO is not licensed to use the Integrated Remote Console after server POST is complete...."
could someone let me know why this is happening?
Would really appreciate assistance.
*** I cannot test iLO via web-browser as Java is not installed and not via .NET IRC as I am going via another server on a different network - so only using standalone HP software ***

I've started rebuilding an old HP ProLiant ML150 G3 with 8GB Memory and Dual-CPU 5130 Xeon.
Currently I have a Hot-Swap backplan SAS/SATA with 6x300GB SAS
Please note that everything on this system are HP Compatible Parts
The problem that I am having is with the HP Smart Array Controller E200... it has the additional 128MB with the battery but I am not using it for RAID5, only for RAID 10 (1+0).
No matter what I so it either frezes at the configuration of the controller or it stays at the initilizing or it fails and reboot the system. This is driving me nuts and up the wall because I've updated the firmware already to 1.86 and still the same problem.
Forget the OS... I am just trying to understand why this bloody controller isn't properly detecting the SAS's or why it acts up. The worst one is that I have to sometimes shutdown and then I can access the controller configuration but the moment I try to move further in... frozen... nothing is responding and the BIOS on the OS was opdated to the latest one
The only thing I am thinking here is that I need to but another one since it must be defective. I have no problem with the other SAS's 8 port controller card, it detects them all, works fine but only supports RAID 0 and RAID 1.
Question: Is there any other GOOD controller cards that would work with the HP ProLiant ML150 G3 or am I doomed to use only the E200?

I am trying to setup and configure iLo on this server. I have tried going to System Management Homepage but the credentials I have dont seem to be working, is there a way to reset this? I have checked on Putty and dhcp and dont see any IP, possibly not connected or its down but I should still be able to get to iLo from the OS. I am in the server from a remote site so I dont have access to it physically. Other avenues to get in to manage iLo and verify its network connectivity?

Am trying to setup RAID on HP DL360 Gen9, using ILO4. When i use F10 Intelligent provisioning it shows show the HP logo and then gets stuck with a screen saying "Attempting to connect to HP Restful API service".

I have an HP DL380p Gen8. could I install ethernet 40Gbps 2 Port Adapter on it? I find this model in specs sheet (HP Infiniband FDR/Ethernet 10Gb/40Gb 2-port 544FLR-QSFP Adapter), But I'm not sure that is working.
