ProLIant DL380p Gen8 Servers equipped with P420i controller. Problem as follows; I bought a large quantity of HP Seagate ST450MP0035 779246-002 450-GB 15K 2.5 inch drives. BUT when i connect them, the server shows 0 drives.

Alert Email Notification for specific Server
Hi Everyone,
I would like to create an Email filter alert with a specific server . Everything is working when I set with Status:Critial. But, it doesn't work if I use Name:"Server name" or Name:"Ilo IP address".
Is there something missing to be able to get specific server email? Even when I use the model it was not working.

ML330 G6, bad drive, replace with off the shelf drive possible?
Hello,
I have here one HP ML330 G6 with a B110i Controller and one bad drive from a Raid 1 array.
Since the system is already out of warranty I would like to replace the drive with one "not genuine" one.
Is the B110i Controller somehow locked to HP drives (or firmwares) or can I use any other drive?
Is it recommended to replace both drives (from one Raid 1 array) or is the mixed mode
usually without any problems as long the drives are equal in size and specs?

I have a dead server that fails to boot with a Windows STOP error and this entry logged in ILO

Server:
Proliant DL380p Gen8, dual 2620 xeon, 256GB ram
Embedded HP Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331FLR Adapter
Embedded Smart Array P420i Controller
PCI-E Slot 1 HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560SFP+ Adapter
PCI-E Slot 2 HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560SFP+ Adapter
Steps:
1. Installed Server 2016 Datacenter with Desktop Experience via virtual cd, no issues
2. Windows Update, reboot, no issues
3. Ran the latest (July 2017) SPP on the machine, reboot unsuccessful - pci express error
I notice HP specifies BIOS P71 for Server 2016, however Intelligent Provisioning and SUM is not seeing P71 as being available, showing the 2015 P70 as latest. However Support Downloads does show a P71 available for this system.
Any ideas?

New ProLiant DL180 Gen9 server, Smart Array P440 controller, OS Windows 2016 Standard, all drivers and firmware completely up to date through SPP2017.04.
Under the StorDiag folder and in the log Microsoft-Storage-ClassPnP/Operational, the following error event is logged about 600 times/hour:

Is this a serious error, or only informative? When there are problems with IOCTLs, it use to indicate hardware problems, and I don't want to deploy something I must throw out next week.

SCSI RAID controller setup help
Good day, I tried in any way to configure the controller but I can't get around it and I need some help. I recieved an old HP ProLiant ML330 G3 with an ASC-29160i SCSI controller card and 2 SCSI HDD. When I boot up the server, it beeps twice and writes on screen "162 - System Options Not Set". I tried everything on the internet without success. Can you guide me somehow? Thank you very much.

How to install a new bigger Hard Disk
Hello, I have an HPE Proliant ml350 gen9 and it has 2 HDDs each 300GB now I need to install a new 600gb HDD to add space to the server but there seems to be no clear documentation. Has anybody done this? How should I proceed? I have inserted the HDD but its not lighting.

I Have DL 380 g7 Server and it going to restart automatically and when i am checking error log its show ASR eroor so will you give me any solution regarding ASR, i also install latest SPP and also Update The Bios but i am unable to resolve the issue.Server going to restart 7-10 time in a day and alway detect ASR Log Please help

Smart Array Ready for Recovery - but recovery not starting
I have a RAID 1 drive which had a disk failure. I replaced the drive and it now says "Ready for Recovery" but after a couple of weeks it still says ready for recovery and there's no sign of it starting recovery. The server is operating normally but I presume this disk is currently unprotected. The array is the main C: drive with Windows on it so won't have many quiet periods.
Could someone advise on how to move this forward,

Datto Siris Backup
Hello - We recently subscribed to the Datto Siris Backup 'Soulution'. The product works well except that after level 3 support, their BMR (Bare Metal Restore) is not comatable with HP Smart Array. Level 3 support suggested turning off the Smart array but I do not think that is possible as we are using the SAS drives.
1) Is there a way to run a SAS drive without the Smart Array?
2) Has anyone used the Datto Siris Product?

Need help with spare drive HP Proliant DL380 G7 with p410i 512mb cache controller
Hi was hoping I can get some help - newbie to servers/networking. Have a proliant DL380 G7, have a SSD for OS and had 7 SATA HDDs that I was trying to set up for RAID5 but wanted one as a spare. Used both ORCA and HP SmartStart, but doesn't give me the option of setting up spare drive (the option is listed but won't let me select it). I am otherwise able to set up the logical drive as a RAID 5 and seems to be recognized ok but want to have a spare drive in case of failure. Also, anyone know why when trying to create logical drive for SSD, it forces RAID 0? Seems to create logical drive ok, but I thought RAID 0 was meant to have 2 drives. Should I be creating RAID 0 logical drive for SSD? Thanks for the help
