I purchased 2 DL320e Gen8 servers and have been struggling with installing any operating systems (oses). I tried both installing via usb and external dvd drive by hitting the F10 key (Intelligent Provisioning). My main intent was to install vmware esxi 6.5 which didn't work. So I keep trying to install earlier versions both via usb and dvd to no avail.
I would appreciate any help.

During a restart on our server Proliant ML150 G6 i receive this error on startup.
The system only has generic SDE, system will REBOOT after update SDR!!
Flashing BMC SDR/CONFIG..... Please wait.
DO NOT power cycleor reset the system, may take several minutes....
But it continue to reboot and show us the message above. Some one can help me?

J'ai mis à jour le bios de mon serveur HP ProLiant dl160 g5, mais au redémarrage les ventirads du serveur se met à ventilés très fort en continu et ne s'arrête plus. Même en revenant à la version initiale du bios cela ne change rien. Les ventilos continus a soufflé très fort
Si quelqu’un pourrais m'aider ça sera sympa de sa part.

If leave setting at SW RAID Support, then restore a functioning sysprepped Windows 2012R2 image, Windows will try to boot and then ask for original install media to run Repair - but eventually fails because 'drive is locked'. HP Support unable to help so far - just emails the instructions from the manual on using SW RAID Support - haven't convinced them yet that when using this setting the SSA sees no smart array controller. The Smart Array P440 lists the Gen9 servers as a requirement but in the past I've used HP Smart Array controllers in whitebox servers with no problems. This particular client has a ML350 G6 using the integrated RAID controller with 2 data volumes in a SFF drive cage.
Due to recent HIPAA requirements these volumes now have to be encrypted. I'd prefer to stick with the HP line and the P440 looks like it fits the bill and should allow Local Encryption Key managment keeping things pretty simple. My question is will this controller work on the ML350 G6 server?
Looks like I can manage all the encryption features with the HPE SSA bootable CDROM image, is there a reason to think this would be a problem? I ask because this is a vSphere 6.5 server and it boots directly from the currrent RAID controller. I'm aware that there's SSA Command Lines available for vSphere but I'd rather not have to rely on those.

I have strange behavior on my DL 20 Gen9 server with installed Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
I have disabled B140i and enabled AHCI Legacy mode and successfully install OS
When I try to edit the boot parameters( throught ILO), I can enter a small number of characters and after that the system freezes and does not react to clicking.
When I try edit grub parameters via text editor inside OS (throught ILO) OS doesn't freeze
I updated all firmware to the latest version

Can somebody tells me why I can't edit grub parameters?
I have been trying to figure out why my RDX drive will not register. Ive done all the tricks I know to get it to register to no avail, Googled some I didn't know. Even went about swapping the Physical RDX drive with a spare we had on hand (including the wires. I reinstalled the drivers. None of this worked. Please help.

Brand new ML 110 G10, can setup RAID 1 on dual 1TB drives from Bios (v 14/11/2017), using system config.
But intelligent provisioning see's no disk, and configuring using SSA says "No controllers detected"

I recently got myself a HP Proliant server Gen 8. I Installed 4 hard drives, all Toshiba's HDWD130's of 3 TB each. I booted the NAS and installed FREENAS on a USB-stick. Freenas only detected two hard drives however. I checked in the ACU and same there: only 2 drivers were detected. I don't understand why this happens.
Things i've tried so far:
- I've tested each drive in my desktop running Windows 10. Each drive is detected under Disk Management as unnalocated space, which means the drives are fine.
- I've tested each drive bay separately with one hard drive in there. It gets detected by ACU.
This means I do not believe it is a hardware error of some sort. All drives and all bays are working the way they should.
I've been switching drives around, tried with 2, 3 or 4 drives at once, only 2 of them get detected when there 3 or 4 in the drive bays by the ACU.
What am I missing here?
- Do I need to update the array controller? Maybe it cannot detect more than two drives for whatever reason?
- Do I need Toshiba drivers of some sort? Seems unlikely though...
- Do I need to format the drives and make logical drives of them? Still, it would not make sense because the ACU can discover two drives
- Is it because I'm not using HP hard drives? If that would be the case it does not make sense for the same reason above
- Maybe I need to remove the USB-stick to check if its conflicting with the ACU not being able to discover the 2 other drives?
I hope someone can help me out!
Can some one tell me what it means when you the total memory "Total Memory - Address test" Fails in the insight diagnostics on a DL380 G9? I've swaped out the memory thinking it was bad and replaced it but still keep getting this error.
