Hello and good day. Ive encountered problem with my hp proliant ml110 g7. One day it just stopped working.
When i start PC first it tries to start fans start to spin and after some seconds it goes off then it start again fans spinning again and after 5sec later the led with pulse sing lights red and pc starts beeping without any pause and fans still spining...i tried changing PCU ,RAM , PSU with no change.
So could you please suggest some solutions to my problem? Thank you very much.

I have a question regarding the HP Smart Array P410 that's comes shipped in the HP Proliant DL 180 G6. It is stated in the specs that it can handle 8 sata disks, but the case itself has twelve hotswap bays. Both the raid controller and FreeNAS (a linux distribution) can see and use all twelve disks. Thus my question is: what does the 8x sata mean then?

We have SSL certificates generated from DigiCert, using CSRs from the iLO cards, whenever we attempt to import the certificate into the iLO we get this error:
Error: The Certificate could not be imported from the supplied X.509 Certificate data.
Verify the following:
- The input text was base64-encoded X.509 certificate data.
- The provided certificate data was intended for this server (not another server).
The certificates are .PEM format, what could the issue be? I see that there were previously issues with importing certs over a certain size, ours are definitely over that size at 5.25Kb, is that still a thing?

Looking for some help. Just starting setting up a new ML350 Gen 10 server and having problems with Intelligent provisioning. I have to say, compared to our Gen 8, the interface for this and all the other aspects such as Bios etc is atrocious. Non intuitive, slow etc. Looks pretty but the user experience is terrible!
Anyway, I have a network address setup and accessible and I have specified the details for our proxy. however when I go to try to update firmware, I just get the error that the repository is unavailable. I have watched my proxy log realtime and I can see that the server never even tries to request any URL's so something is not right here.
I have tried DHCP and static addresses but no joy. Am I missing something ?

I have an HP Proliant DL185 G5 Storage Server w/ p800 Controller. After booting it said battery 1 and 2 were bad and needed replacing. I removed the P800 and removed battery 1 (extremely swelled) and left battery 2 in place for now until replacements arrive. After reinstalling the P800 the system refuses to boot.
After running the Offline ADU boot disc it says "No controllers detected".
I have a solid Amber on LED 3 (Diagnostic error) and LED 4 (Drive Error)
None of my hard drives show any activity or health LED's either on the front panel, they are all dead.
Any advice? Is my p800 a dead stick and needs replacing?

Is there a forthcoming BIOS update planned for the ProLiant DL160 G6 series (e.g. E5504 - Nehalem)?
E.g. ProLiant DL380 G6 (E5504 - Nehalem) has the latest Intel Spectre/Meltdown code in 2018.02.22 released in March 2018.

I have just got a new server ProLiant G10 with 3 SSD NVMe. The surprise was that HP server does not support RAID configuration. I was told that I have to dedicate one expensive SSD only to install Oracle Linux then I have to configure RAID 1 from the OS level.
This makes no sense at all. How to dedicate one SSD for the OS without RAID. What if this SSD fails?
Did anyone come through the same experience?

I searched the net and where I found two different opinions about RAID with SSD.
With SSD RAID 5 is fine and no need to go for RAID 10 to get better performance.

Other articles claiming that RAID 5 is deprecated and should not be used in new arrays anymore.
However, I did not find any articles speaking about the recommended RAID with NVMe.

To the able engineers of HP, I have a HP ProLiant ML10 v2 with 4GB memory. It serves as a pfSense firewall, router and squid server. The memory is almost all the time in 65% usage due to several heavy packges and tasks. Now I wish to remove the old memory and replace it with full 32gb the maximum. My question is what exact model or specs of memory should i purchase? The specs says DDR3 PC3-10600 1333MHz 240-pin UDIMM ECC Unbuffered, but if I purchase online like in Amazon, what model, specifications should i look for that will actually work with my HP ProLiant ML10 v2? Any assistance will be appreciated.

Sur les serveurs Proliant ml350 Gen10 le support est interrompu depuis Mars 2018...
Ma question est donc: Quelle alternative HPE à prévu pour remplacer cette outil vital en entreprise sur ses Gen10?
Ou le telecharger? le configurer?

I have just purchased a ML350 G6 and it will not POST or Show any form of VGA output. when i plugged in the VGA cable to the servers onboard VGA port nothing displays at all. I managed to get to the ILO2 so can see the basic server info e.g. status, cpu, ram etc but when i try to use the remote console i get a black screen just like on the monitor. i tried 4 differnt vga cable just to eliminate that issue and install a PCI GC to no avail. i reset the system maintainace switch which seem to stop it runing like a figther jet constantly and i used jumer 6 only think this might help as per other fourms suggestion but to no avail.
SYSTEM STATUS:
micro controller firmware: 2.9
System ROM: D22 5/5/2011 (backup rom the same)
CPU FINE
SYSTEM HEALTH: OK (from ILO2 summaru screen)
RAM FINE
ILO 2 FINE - can connect and use basic info but nothing as no licence
ILO 2 Firmware: standard and firmware: 16/7/2012, Version 2.12
POST - NO
VGA - NO
system lights at the fron of server: show POWER, SYSTEM HEALTH and NETWORK all Green indiacting fine
NO Beeps, NO RED LIGHTS Nothing

Dear all, i have installed DL 380 Gen 10 server at customer site and after 48 hours server start noise contineously and when i power drain the server issue is resolved . the same issue accours an other site on the same model . and again i follow the same way and power drain the server and the issue was resolved. Please any one suggest what was the Issue ?
Is there a model of ProLiant server along the Gen 7 or Gen 8 line that will support 8 SFF -and- 3 or 4 LFF drives?
My home lab server (an ML350 G6) died after an extended power outage and the following surge when power was restored (even with a racked surge protector and battery backup... bad luck!). I'm looking for a replacement server and have my eyes on something like a DL380 G7, but I'm having a hard time finding one that will fit my needs! I need it to support 8x SFF drives and several standard SATA / LFF drives, as my old ML350 G6 had a few 3TB SATA drives installed for bulk storage on my WS2012 storage pool.
I've read that if I install all of the 146G SFF drives into a same or newer HP server, that the controller should (after a few reboots) be able to boot back up and I won't lose the data stored on that (I had a Raid-5 with 2 spares), I'm hoping that's true. Thanks for reading!

I have 4 hard disks that i would like to use on the new server what is the secure way to do it?
Pay attention please that the first server is down and i dont know how the hard disks are raided.

We have a Xeon 5440 and the HP Proliant ML370 G5 running with a 5140 Xeon processor and we'd like to upgrade that server with it.
Unfortunatly, it's not running with that proccessor yet and is stucked on the first step of booting with nothing on the screen.
We'd hope a little help on that one since we think we've missing one configuration step.

I'm using several ProLiant DL360 Gen9 servers with iLO 4 v. 2.55
I tried to config the AlertMail feature and ran into a problem with the "from" address, the server is sending the mails with. Our mailserver only accepts mails with from addresses in the format "forename.name@ourdomain.com"
Is there a way to set the from address of the iLO manually instead of the "serverFQDN@domain.com"?!
