Unable to establish connection with my Gen10 server from newer powershell module (2.0.0.0)
Hey Guys,
I am trying to extablish connection with my Gen10 server with HPEiLOcmdlts (2.0.0.0), however its failing with error " Unable to proceed as server generation information is not available ".
Same command is works fine with my Gen8/Gen9 servers.
Command : Connect-HPEiLO -IP <iloname> -Username <Admin> -Password <SuperSecret> -DisableCertificateAuthentication
Any help !!!!!!!

ILO issue
HI,
I have HP RX2620 server.I cannot able to open the remote console from ILO web broweser.It is asking for a JAVA version upgrade.Please sugegst which JAVA version should be ideal for this hardware.
Also I can see the telnet is enable in post 23 in ILO web browser but I cannot able to do telnet also.The IP is pingable.
Please suggest.

expand RAID 6 (ADG) on P440AR
I have a P440AR with 6x300GB drives in RAID6 (ADG). The array contains a 300GB OS logical drive #1 and a 817GB data logical drive #2. The server OS is Windows 2012R2. I added an additional 2x300GB disks with the plan of expanding the array and then extending logical drive 2 but the expand option is not avaible. I have done this umpteen times with RAID5 so I am guessing RAID6 is treated differently?
Can a RAID6 be expanded? If not, can I migrate to RAID5 and then expand? What are my options?

Need Service Packs/Bios updates & drivers for older Proliant Servers
Hello to all -
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. One of my Proliant ML 350 G6 servers crashed and I need to rebuild it but I don't have any of the HP software for it. I can't test the drives or setup Raid or install/update drivers, BIOS, etc.
Any help you can provide would be MUCH, MUCH APPRECIATED!! Thanks again!

ML110 G5 + X8 videocard
I'm using my old server ML110 G5 - Xeon3065, 8Gbyte ECC, 2x 1Tbyte in raid1, Win10 - as workstation and it's working perfectly.
Because of the onboard videocard's limited mem i playeced a Asus Nvidea Geforge GT710 2Gbyte X8 card.
The problem is that sometimes the ML110 starts and sometimes it won't.
When it's starts it works perfectly with the video card, but why it don't start all the time?
When putting on the ML110 it starts normally but you don't get video output to the monitor and after a while it's still black on the monitor, only thing to do is switching of the ML110 and take the power cord off and wait a while and trying againg hoping it's starts up normally.
When it starts normally it takes longer for you see the begin screen of the ML110 after that it starts normally win10 and it works normally.
What can be the problem???

Smart Storage Battery Failed
I have replaced a smart storage battery and the new battery is showing as failed. I'm finding the whole smart storagte battery experience a little like being lost in a dark forest with a torch with no batteries. So any insight would be appreciated?
- This is a Gen9 DL360 box.
- ilo tells me the battery model number is 727258-B21.
- The battery I have put in has a spare id of 815983-001.
- I have similar boxes with original batteries who spare id is 750450-001.
- My system firmware version is P89 v1.21 (11/03/2014).
Should I be concerned about the different spare ids? I bought the 815983-001 as it was for the same model, 727258-B21. As I mentioned, any insight or redirection to ducmentation that actually relates to my hardware would be great?

New ML150 Gen9. Strange problem. Please help!
I bougth this server 2 months ago. I boot unRAID from one of the internal USBs and used 2x10T 3.5" HDDs and 1x 512G SSD in three of the four cage bays. It worked without any problems. I wanted to add another 1x 512G SSD to the 4th bay. From that point on, the server doesn't detect any of 3.5" HDDs. Even if I remove all the drives, insert just one 3.5" HDD, it doesn't recognize. There is no problem with 2.5" SSDs though.
The cage was replaced. It started to detect all HDDs and SSD again. I moved the server to its location and inserted the second SSD to the 4th bay, it lost detection of 3.5" HDDs again. There is no way of getting any 3.5" HDD detected by bios now. By the way, all disks are SATA and I use AHCI.
Why does the error become something irreversible? Can someone shed a light on this?

Original Server System Configuration
Hello, is there any way that I can type in my serial number for a particular server and see a list of the original hardware configuration and have the option to download only the drivers that I actually have the hardware for? This is something that I grew used to when working on Dell servers and with HP I am finding that it is very difficult to determine which drivers I actually need.

HP Proliant DL360 Gen10 - Unable to install Windows Server 2016 - SCCM
I have a series of DL360's GEN10 that I am unable to install via SCCM, I can manually install these however as I have over 50 to build it's not really viable.
The issues lies when I boot to SCCM for the build and press F8 , running diskpart I see that an array I previously created does not show and I see vol 0 and 1 which both display no media.
You would think that there is a problem with the media, however if I was to go into Intelligent Provisioning and run the scripting toolkit then run diskpart all my drives and arrays show up.
Tried profusely to find a solution, has anyone come across this before and maybe has a solution.
Does anyone know what the scripting toolkit is running ps. I have tried installing the drives whilst in the console and again still no luck.

Offline SSA 2.65 is not booting on DL380 G7 server
Dear all,
I am having issue with HP prolinat server DL380 Gen7 , Raid card P410i, I have downloaded "ssaoffline-2.65-7.0" and burn ISO file to a cd , but when I am trying to boot from the cd it's not accepting that.! attemping to boot from cd then no cd detected !,
I donwloaded this copy form the below link :
I tried an old version such as Smartstart it worked fine but It does not support Winserver 2012 and above.
so is there any configuration required before to run this file?
I need this for Windows server 2012R2 x64.
I am looking to wipe the array completely and configure my drives using HP tools. I am ok with alternatives if possible
any reply or help is highly apprecaited

How is storage defined on a Apollo 2000 (4 nodes set) ?
We plan to build a new architecture based on Apollo 2000 for HPC.
I would like to know how is storage assigned to different node ?
is storage assigned based on single disk, array or volume ?
can I define a RAID 6 with all the disks and attrib some slice/volume to node or should nodes be assigne his own array or worse his own disk.
I guess I have to manage storage on a side an assigne node with PXE or similar. ... by the way it will be linux only on nodes.

iLO License missing for new DL380-G9
We have purshased new HP DL380 G9 (DL380 GEN9 1XE5-2640V3 64GB 4X300GB), but when starting installtion we discover that iLO license is missing.
is the iLO license should be integrated in serever fro factory?
how can we get the needed license.

iLO 4 not responding, SPP not loading, DL360 Gen8
Hey,
I've got an DL360 Gen8 that is driving me crazy.
I installed a new OS (Win Server 2016) and ran HP SUM (SPP Gen8.1).
Since then the iLO won't react anymore, no iLO IP is given and the message is:
iLO 4 not responding. System Health Monitoring has been disabled
Now I found this article:

And tried to do what they say, created a HP SPP Bootstick, switch the Switch to on (this is recognised by the Server, it's shown at boot) and boot into SPP.
I get to choose the interactive mode, but when I get to the Mointain view I can move the mouse but nothig happens anymore.
Tried different USB Sticks, even different SPP's but it's always stuck there.
In the OS the iLO is "busy" and not responding either.
I don't know where to go from here, if anyone has had this issue or has a fix would be much apprecheated!

when HP SPP runs again, it shows that all the firmwares are up to date, so SPP worked.

DIFFICULTY IN INSTALLING WINDOWS SERVER 2008 R2 in both HP ML10 and HP ML30
Hi All,
Greetings.
I have been trying to install Windows Server 2008R2 in both HP ML10 & ML30. I have also switched to UEFI MODE and Legacy bios but I notice that as soon as it shows Windows Server 2008R2 installation window for me to click next, the key board and mouse will go off. And I cant continue with the installation. Please, how can I resolve this and install this my OS on these servers successfully?

P400i In Lock-up State after installing 512MB BBWC
We have an older DL360 G5 (not currently under warranty). It is at BIOS version P58 and has an internal P400i array controller with a 256MB cache module. We needed to expand the RAID5 array with a 4th drive (currently shows as a spare). From what I researched we needed to switch the 256MB module with a 512MB module (part number 405148-B21, 512MB BBWC). After installing the 512MB module we get a post error stating "1783-Slot 0 Array controller is in a lock-up State due to a hardware configuration failure." As a result the controller is disabled. The firmware on the P400i is version 7.24. I have made sure the cache mdule and cables are seated properly. Reinstalling the 256MB module reenables the controller. Not sure what else needs to be done/attempted.

Disable Gen8 B120i raid controller

I have a gen8 microserver with only one hard drive running hp custom esxi 6.5 on it. The default raid setup is 0 when one drive is in use, my question is, if I disable the raid controller in bios would that affect my current hard drive? I know that older controllers used to write some data on disks. I just want to know if I would be able to boot my esxi normally after disabling the raid and using Sata AHCI.

DL380 G3 - Changing a Hard Disk
I have 2 older DL380 servers. I inherited my IT position here a couple of years ago, but have never had to do anything but maintenance on these things. Can a hard drive on thse be hot swapped like on the newer generations??
