We've tried to add a cache module & battery to our P410 array controller on our ML330 server, but the server now fails to boot. This is what we did:
I have attached a picture of the error message we got. It seems like we should update the firmware to fix this issue? If so, can anyone provide a link to the correct download?

1 X HP Proliant DL380 G7
2 X HP storage works MSA 50
I want to connect my storage devices to my server. The storages dispose each 2 ports SAS IN and SAS OUT.
The server doesn't have SAS ports. How I can do this job ? Should I buy a SAS card adapter for my server ?

We purchased a DL380 Gen 9 server installed with Windows Server 2016. However, we encountered a login behaviour problem which will just continue to login and stuck in the page. Only thing we can do is to manually restart the server.
The O/S was preinstalled on HPE side and would seek advise from here how to resolve the issue.

I am trying to boot to Intelligent Provisioning. After hitting F10 during POST, a blank screen with a flashing cursor appears briefly, the server beeps twice, then moves on to booting the normal OS (Windows Server 2012R2).
Attempting to enter IP by hitting F10 during POST and setting IP as the One-Time Boot Option in iLO produce the same result.
I have re-flashed Intelligent Provisioning with no change.
I have cleared NVRAM with no change.
I have verified that Intelligent Provisioning is enabled in RBSU.
Any other ideas that anyone can give me would be appreciated. I'll provide any additional information needed. Thanks!

Problem is::::: I can install OS but after installation system reboots and doesn't boot, the following message "No bootable devices were deteced. Please attach a UEFI bootable device. System will automatically retry the UEFI Boot Order in X seconds". But, when into option Boot Menu [F11] > One-Time Boot Menu, I see CentOS listing on options.
How can I resolve this issue?

So I managed to score a DL380 Gen6 off an auction. The auctioneer gave me a CD with SmartStart 8.7b2 and a flashdrive with the ISO of Win Sever 2008 r2. He said simply place the CD into the drive, boot into the CD through the boot options and you will see a GUI. Use the GUI to reconfigure the RAID to your choice and format the drives. Then use SmartStart to install the ISO of Server 2008 r2.
Following his instructions, I plugged in the server, turned it on. Used the boot options to boot into the CD-ROM, (I have the USB with server 2008 connected in the back of the server). Once smartstart boots, I receive two options to choose from: 1) SmartStart 8.7 2)SmartStart 8.7 with fibre. I chose the former, it then boots into the CommandLine. Unfortunately, I do not know enough Linux to nagivate through the CommandLine and I am unsure of why the GUI is not working.
Could someone guide me as to why I am unable to see the GUI or how to achieve my goals through the command line.

I set a number of DL380 G9's iLO for LDAP auth by means of a script. I can see the settings applied as in the Administration>User Administration I see my AD groups and in Security>Directory I have Local and Kerberos authentication marked and groups and LDAP server details filled in. iLO 2.55 on all machines. Now on some of the machines when I access the iLO page I can see "irectory or local usrname" for logon but on some I see only Local. What may be the cause for that?
Hi, I have a proliant dl380 g7 with a failed disk in my raid5. So I have removed the failed disk (bay4). I rebooted the server to go into the raid manager bios (f8 at reboot) but the only thing I can do there is delete or view raid.
I wanted to verify if spare replaced the drive or not, very little information there. So I booted into windows and opened array configuration utility. Now I am not sure what to understand in the info I get there. First the spare is shown as "active spare". If I look at the physical view, the active spare icon shows some plus signs moving around the icon. Not sure what that means.
Here is the info I get;
When clicking on the array on the left pane, physical view, array with spare
- status failed (didn't the spare do his job so it's supposed to be status OK?)
- Failed drive; bay 4, assigned spare bay 7 (active spare)
When clicking on the spare drive in left pane
- Status ; ok
- drive configuration type; spare
Choosing "logical drive" in left pane, logical view
- Status : ok
- Parity initialization status; initialization completed
- Array status; failed
For me there are some conflicting information. So what does it all mean? Did the spare replaced the failed drive? Now do I just have to replace my failed drive in bay4?
Normally in raid configuration managers you have access to a history of what happened, like (drive 4 failed, spare drive rebuilding, etc....) but on this server I have no information like this.
Last time we changed the failed drive and server did not reboot. We had to put back the failed drive and do a "last know good" in windows so I wanted to verify all the info regarding the state of the raid and I am lost.

After a disk predictabe failure on StroeVirtual P4300G2, we've replace disk and RAID5 is ok now but we always keep a parity error.
I saw other posts on same subject and I've found a disk FW version difference between new disk added and initial disks.

To inserting image into virtual media using URL, I tried to launch HTTP server to download ISO image via python script.
Using Python HTTP method -> I am able to expose the directory which contains ISO into webpage and able to download it locally using wget/manual click option.
But, ILO server is not able to download it during Mount process [Failing with "error: [Errno 32] Broken pipe" Error message]
Note: ILO server and HTTP enabled linux machine are in same network.
Can you please help me to resolve this issue.

Say I have a DL360 wih 8 drive bays. I have bay 1 and 2 for my OS (mirrored). I want to add a 3 drive RAID-5. Should I use bays 3, 4, and 5 (and thus the RAID-5 would be spanned across 2 channels), or should I use bays 5, 6, and 7 to keep all drives on the same channel? What is best practice? What are the pros/cons of each way?

Previously I had six 6TB drives in RAID 5, and four days ago I added two more 6TB drives and expanded the RAID.Today the expansion has finished, and from the Windows tool of the disk manager, I tried to expand the volume, but I get the following error:
I've been searching the Internet for this error, and I should change the geometry of the logical volume.Should I do it through this tool?

Please excuse my limited knowledge with this, but I have a Proliant DL380p Gen8 with 15k 300gb SAS drives (x8) and one of those drives is bad. I understand the drives are hot swappable, but does anything need to be done on the software side after a new drive is swapped in?

I am looking for Bios Update and Firm for HP DL380 G8 and G9 servers. Whenever I go to download it directs me to Support Contract. Is there a link that I can directly download updated SPP DVD ISO.

We are trying to enalbe cache on our HPE Smart Array P440 Controller, but the only option we are seeing is to enable cache on the drives attached to the controller and not the controller itself.
