Hello,
does anyone have issue with FlexFabric 10Gb 2port 534FLR-SFP on Ubuntu 18.04?
My setup is - two interfaces in lacp bond and mtu 6000 .
The problem is that my servers are crashing with:
An Unrecoverable System Error (NMI) has occurred (Service Information: 0x00000000, 0xE0FF0000)
ASR Detected by System ROM
PCI Bus Error (Slot 0, Bus 0, Device 2, Function 2)
That is happening on three servers (DL380 Gen9) with similar hardware/firmware/settings.
They are with the latest SP and unfortunately, warranty has expired.

B140i RAID5 write @ 80 MBs read @ 500 MBs
Just wanted to ask what peoples experience are with these base model ML30G9 with a B140i embedded controller using 4x MB001000GWFWK 1TB SATA drives in RAID5?
- I have enabled/disabled write cache and it does not make any difference
- I have enabled/disabled controller caching - no difference
- Tried different drivers 62.6.0.64, 62.8.0.64 and 62.12.0.64
According to ATTO, the highest write is 80 MB/s (Megabytes p/s) from 4MB although read is fantastic at 450 MBs+ at 4KB.
Any help would be much apprecaited.
I have logged a case and was advised it was write cache and waiting for further reply.
HP ML150 Gen9 SSD on sata port on Motherboard
Hi,
I have a new HP ML150 Gen9 Tower, with dual 1TB SATA connected to the b140 storage controller. Using them in raid 0. Windows 2016 installed and everything runs perfect.
Now i decided to connect a loose SSD harddrive to a free sata connecter on the motherboard. The problem is that windows does not recognize the disk at all. Not te be found in device manager or anywhere else.
If i temporarily switch the bios from UEFI to Legacy i can see the drive in de boot options screen. So the drive seems te be properly recognized by the server. I also tested the ssd in a client pc and it works properly.
Can anyone give me advise in this matter?
Thx!
Dave

Replace disks in a RAID 1
Hello good afternoon.
I currently have a HPE ML110 G9 server with a 4GB p440 controller and the integrated b140 controller, in which I have the WS 2016 operating system in RAID 1. Currently in RAID 1 I have two 120GB OCZ TR150 disks with 20,000 working hours, and I would like to replace the two.
What would be the best system to replace the discs?
1 .- I make a backup of the operating system (I have backups made by Windows), change the disks and and reinstall the operating system of the backup? (I dont like this system very much).
2.- Replace a disk, let the system rebuild the new unit, and then replace the other and let it rebuild again.
The new discs that I want to incorporate are two Samsung 860 Pro 250GB, which have a larger size than the old OCZ. Once the two new 250GB disks are incorporated, will I be able to expand the total capacity from the SSA?
Thank you!

Server is updated to all current firmware and othervise runs OK, with only one issue: restarts itself after shutdown. (BIOS is set to: NOT RESTART AFTER SHUTDOWN)
System ROM: D22 (05/21/2018)
iLO2 Firmware: V2.33 (03/20/2018) Advanced version
RAM installed: 144GB 1333mhz (6 x 8GB + 6 x 16GB)
As reccomended in few old posts, server was shut down compleately, disconnected from power and restarted in 20 min, did not resolved the issue.

Third-Party Software Update Catalogs in SCCM not able to download/Publish
Hi!
(Might be posted in the wrong location)
I'm a config manager (SCCM) administrator, and in the latest release of SCCM 1806, they have included a feature called "Third-Party Software Update Catalogs" which basically means WSUS can handle third-party updates.
I am however having some issues with 1 out of 4 updates from the HPE catalog?!
I'm suspecting the bold-marked link below to be wrong. It is atleast not the same link when I Published/downloaded the other updates

Problem with a Raid 1+0 array on a Proliant DL380 G7 - Smart Array 410i
We have a DL380 had system board failure. Specifically, the disk controller. Took a couple trips, but they got the machine back up and running. However, there is a problem with a RAID 1+0 array on the server.
The file system on this Raid is up and apparently fine. Running RedHat.
The problem is that the array thinks it has 3 failed disks, and the controller thinks there are 3 spare disks.

physicaldrive 5C:1:8 (port 5C:box 1:bay 8, SAS, 300 GB, OK)
Doesn't take long to see that there is a house keeping issue here.
We tried reseating one of the drives to see if that would get the controller to figure it out, but that didn't happen.
My next thought is that we could go in hpacucli and remove the "failed" disks and add in the spares.
- Ctrl slot=0 array B remove drives=1:5,1:7,1:8
- Ctrl slot=0 array B add spares=5C:1:5,5C:1:7,5C:1:8
Then, I'm not sure what command to use to get the spares to take over and be full members of the array and not just spares.
Is there any danger to this? If we have to, we can delete the disk and array, and rebuild them, but we already had a week long outage due to the failure, and would rather keep the machine up.
Any help would be appreciated?
thanks,.
Paul.

Have an ML350 gen10 with e208i-a controller, Can I also use the onboard SATA controller?
I want to add a LFF drive cage to my ML350 gen10 with an e208i-a controller that already has 8 sff. Is there a way to use the onboard sata controller for the LFF drives? If not, how can I make it work? buy another sata controller? Any recommendations? I don't need hardware raid for the sata drives.

I can't access to intelligent provisioning via F10.
as in the object I can't access to intelligent provisioning via F10 , on ML350 GEN10
As suggested in other posts, I installed the Intelligent Provisioning Recovery Media for Gen10 v. 3.20 but the problem persists.
I can't access to intelligent provisioning via System Utilities.
I can access to intelligent provisioning via Ilo. Here we can the see the wizard for the first configuration. I can run the wizard until the end, and arrive to see in the browser a a screen with teh following message : "Intelligent provisioning api is not registered yet.please wait while the server is booting to itelligent provisioning.....". meanwhile the server switches off and on automatically and goes to the home screen with only the F10 button visible and active: but the intelligent repository doesn't start.
What can I do ?
Thanks
Andrea
HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10 changing box number
Hi All,
I have 4 DL380 Gen10 servers with "HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10"
On 3 servers I have "Internal Drive Cage at Port 3I, Box 3, OK", on the 4th I have "Internal Drive Cage at Port 3I, Box 8, OK",
so my disk are named
3I:8:1 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB), 3I:8:2 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB), 3I:8:3 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB), 3I:8:4 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB)
instead of
3I:3:1 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB), 3I:3:2 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB), 3I:3:3 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB), 3I:3:4 (SAS HDD, 4.7 TB)
Is there any ways to rename box 8 in box 3?
Thanks
