NEW Server ILO Password Not Working

I have a brand new HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 1x4110 8-Core 16GB 8SFF P408i,  I installed Centos 7 on this server.  The default password that is on the tag does not work.

I get to the login page, type in Administrator and then the password on the tag, making sure I am typing it in case sensitive, it does not work. 

I booted into the system config and added another user and password, again making sure I typed it in all lower case.  I made sure it was an admin account.  It does NOT work.

What am I doing wrong.  I know that on a windows domain the ILO uses the admin username and password and you ahve to enter the domain\administrator but did is this the same when I installed Centos?

NVIDIA Quadro M2000 in ML110 G9: Console Remote

Hello good afternoon.

In the ML110 G9 documentation, it states that this graphics card is the one that supports it. I wanted to ask you if incorporating this server graphics card, you would lose access to the remote console, or is this graphic card ready to be able to use the remote console without any problem?

In the documentation I have not found anything related to the topic that I am commenting on. Thank you!

DL360 GEN10 restart

I have a DL360 GEN10 that is having this exact problem:

The error in the IML is word-for-word per that article.  However, I have already updated the firmware a while ago and it still happens.  The problem happens about randomly once every 2 weeks or so.  Usually in the afternoon.  So it really had to re-produce the problem.  It is a Citrix server, so when it crashes it boots like 30 people off their session.

I opened a ticket with HPE, and they forwarded it on to our reseller.  The reseller said it "looks like an OS" problem and closed the ticket.  I have 7 other servers built from the same image (Windows 2016) with identical hardware and patched the same way that do not have this problem.  So I think it is a HW problem.

Has anyone else seen this problem with a GEN10 and have a suggestion?

DL 180 G6 not powering up

Hi!

I have a DL 180 G6 and today when  tried to power it up it's failled. The BMC LED is blinking and I can access i. When I pressed the power button nothing happened. Using the web interface to boot it up, on the chassis information, in the virtual power tab, it's says 

Last Restart Cause: Chassis Control

 

Ther is no message in the SEL tab

In the monitoring sensors tab, there is power on the stand-by sensor:

Voltage P12V Unavailable   Voltage P5V Unavailable   Voltage P5V-STBY Normal operating range 5.0544 Volts Voltage P3V3 Unavailable   Voltage P3V3-STBY Normal operating range 3.3264 Volts

 

And,

Chassis Chassis State Deasserted 0 Sys. ACPI Pwr. State ACPI State S5 Power State Bit 5 Asserted

 

I've no idea what is wrong and why I can't power it on

USB and Ilo issue on DL380e gen8

Hi,

I've just bought 2 DL380e gen8 server, and i have the same issue on both : no usb input is possible (so... no keyboard) and i can't type anything on ilo's remote control, Could you help me please ?

hi,

can i use e5-2650l v2 10 core cpu in a proliant ml350p gen8?

do i have to use it in pairs? ark.intel.com lists it als 2s (socket) only.

product id is 652065-B21

i have bios version p72 07/01/2015 on the server

Windows 10 on DL360 Gen9

Trying to install Windows 10 on a Proliant DL360 Gen 9 and get the following error:

lifetouch depoyment failed return code = -2147024877 0x80070013

The windows 10 disk works because I installed it on a HP workstation.  Your help is greatly appreciated!

Good morning 

Please i need your help 

I have a proliant HP server dl460 gen9
which always sends me the following error message "Server Critical Fault (Service Information: Fault Runtime, Memory, CPU 2 Memory Channels 1-4 (22h))" and the server shut down I had to change all memory cards but same problem.
so i opt to change server and move my hard drive and my controller raid on another hp server proliant dl460 gen9 after moving the server does not boot yet hard drives are perfectly detect as well as the controller raid

please save me

Replacing H240ar controler by a P440ar on a existing server with logical drives

Hi there,
I'm trying to do acontroller upgrade on a DL360 Gen9 Server (H240ar controler by a P440ar) but when server starts, POST ERROR is shown:
1795-Slot 0 Drive Array - Write back Cache Configuration does not correspond to this drive array"

Running Smart Storage Administrator, I Cant do anything. Message: CACHE STATUS PROBLEM DETECTED, To prevent data loss, configuration changes are not allowed. Physical disks are even detected by SSA.

Am I doing something wrong?

For long time my co-workers added vlan into C7000 Enclousure by graphic interface.
We have cluster but didn't work because virtual connect accept only 162 vlan per interface.
The real problem was when I access Virtual Connect Manager via SSH to configure Vlans.
Blades that limit Vlans was full (162) we receive "failed to add vlan" by console.
But for some reason all over blades those were on limit downlinks felt down of blades.
Looking for interfaces of ESXi was half duplex, and Virtual Connect doesn't work in this mode so that reason the host felt down.
My question is:
First, it is possible the command line to add Vlan and enable smartlink cause half duplex mode in hypervisor?
Second, in command line if don't add speed=auto which speed will be default?

How to Upgrade HP Smart Array P420i Controller on HP Proliant ML350p Gen8 to support 3 logical Drvs

Dear all,

We have an HP Proliant ML350p Gen8 Server with HP Smart Array P420i Controller.

We have currently created two SATA arrays (2 logical drives) and he have currently bought two new extra HDDs in order to create an extra third logical drive.

However, I have seen from the documentation that the following is supported:

Zero Memory, Up to 2 logical volumes (8 physical drives)
Up to 64 logical drives with cache.

I would like to ask how can I upgrade our HP Smart Array P420i Controller in order to be able to support a third logical drive? Do we need to buy memory for the Controller?

Hi,

We have HP DL180 G6 servers that has P410, p410i RAID Controller. We would like to upgrade the firmware of the controller due to the errors

We have received the firmware on below link which is for 32 bit and is not able to install due to multiple depenencies and conflicts.

DL380 G7 Cant find boot disk after OS Install

Dear community

I recently aquired an old DL380 G7, and saved it from being scraped.
I wanted to install a Server OS to use it as a home server for various things. Sadly ive been struggling with the server for the whole weekend. I've tried installing various server systems, however, it seems that the server itselfe sometimes has issues locating the harddrives (they are old notebook harddisks) during installation of windows server 2016. However ive managed to install Windows 8 but as soon as i reboot, the server seems to forget to boot to that os again, no matter how much i change around at the boot order.  I even managed to install ESXI 6.0.u3 but same issue, as soon as i restart, it doesent have a boot drive anymore. 

Is there a common issue i dont know of? 
Is there a way to completely reset / update the server and flash everything?

How to verify by command line (SSH) VLAN capacity of uplinkset

I had problems to apply VLAN in a per physical port server after exceed the VLAN limit 162

So, I need to check before apply the command below, but I don't know how command should be applied.

I looked for many quick specs and I can find it

 

Add VLAN in Uplinkset and enable SmartLink

add network test_vc01 UplinkSet=UplinkSet_1 VLanID=1163 NAGs=Default
set network test_vc01 SmartLink=Enabled

Add VLAN in server profile

add server-port-map Server1_VmWare1:1 1163_test_vc01 UplinkSet=SUS_VC1 Untagged=false

HPE ML350 G9 + 32GB + 6HD SAS 300GB RAID 5 With Windows 2012 R2 Server

Network Card HP 1gb 4-port 331i

I'm having a big of a problem here, my network performance is a joke on this server, i have read in the web to disable this parameters on the NIC card

Ipv4 checksum offload
largesend offload V2(ipv4)
largesend offload V2(ipv6)
Vm queues
TCP Checksum offload (ipv4)
TCP checksum offload (ipv6)
Udp checksum offload (ipv4)
Udp checksum offload (ipv6)
Done this, also disabled the Digitally sign communications and Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel data, but the problem remains. Transfering data across the local network i don't even get 1mb/s.
On windows 2003, and the workstations, i have no problem getting 10mb/s and more.
 
I have read that the solution goes by changing NIC to another brand. Will this solve my problem?
Any toughts?

P.S Working on a 100Mbps network, it's not perfect but it's what i have to work for now. It will be upgrated soon to 1000Mbps.
