Is this combination going to work with Windows Server 2019, or can you suggest another SFP+ card that would work?
I picked up the ML350p Gen8 server at work when they upgraded. They took everything out of it of course. So I am putting it back together. I noticed that the "I.T." guy (who is a contract company guy) was none to careful about taking out the cpu they had installed. Looks he bent socket pins. The second socket was unused for CPU 2.
I am wondering if it is possible just to use CPU 2 since that socket looks good. Or is it a must that CPU 1 must be installed? I have been looking but have not found an answer on the issue. Thanks for any help with my question as it would be appreciated.
Hi. I bought two old DL360 G7 servers. Those machines while rather old are doing pretty good job for my home lab.
Recently I got issues with one of those after moving it from one location to another. The server cannot boot indicating "overheat". I don't believe it had any chance to get any heat. Not to mention the room temperature was about 15C. The server is trying to start for probably less than a second. iLO actually shows all the sensors as 0C. I was able to boot it somehow but then I made another "move" of the server and it failed again.
All this makes me to think something is wrong with either the temperature sensors or some connector. Any ideas what should I look for?

ILO 5 updated and I can access Intelligent provisioning via browser but it is stucked with an update firmware.
how can I install new intelligent provisioning software with factory settings?

I have tried to update both my bios and ilo 4 firmware and get
"checking Secure Digital Signature, please wait ... " under administration->Firmware
I have tried updating via Linux cli, via the ilo web gui and have just tried via an older SPP ISO. Pulled power and let it sit to clear the checking secure digital signature message. Tried again just to fail.
Currrent version of Ilo4 is 1.40, bios is from 2013
I can't seem to get this too work. Is there a way to force the bios updated with out using ILO, as it seems to me that even the sexec file pushes the bios update via ILO.

I am having significant trouble installing some monitoring for a DL360 Gen10 with iLO 5. Previously we would install the HP Insight Manager and the other tools such as:
But now, I only seem to be able to install the System Management Homepage, and get access to some basic information but can not for the life of me see how to access the Event Notifier etc.
Reading in the System Management Homepage that I require HP Insight Foundation, but can't find where to download that either.
Ultimately we are trying to configure, as we always have, a method to send an email notification for when the RAID volume has an error/failed disk.
Any help would be really appreciated. Server is running Windows 2016, and is currently in warranty.

But found on iLO logs that the smart array module was Failed (Status message: Smart array P420 in slot 3 cache status problem detected). Found also drive#11 degraded and drive#13 no led light status but the health status is OK (Drive configuration: spare).
Question:
1. Is the configuration affected when I replaced the cache memory module?
2. Do I need to replaced the Drive#13?

We have a Hp Pro server ML310 running SCO 5.07 and an old accounts system which is all on text.
Problem we have have has just appeared after running ok for many years
simple system, draytek router (DCHP) passive hubs an 10 pcs all using static ip addresses including the server.
for some reason the server has looses connectivity to the network , on reboot and complete power down it does connect and we can ping and telnet into the server, after a totally random time the server looses its connection and requests time out, lights on the card are still, green the 2nd ethernet port (iLO) works and i can see the lights out screen remotely. Rest of the network including a linux Nas and all pcs are still working as usual. Norton cannot find any issues on any of the PC's
Any ideas from anyone?

After shutding down a server DL 380p Gen8 due to modification on our installation, this server does not start anymore:
- After pressing the power button, the server seems to start, then stop after 1 second and the red led blinks indicating a Bios/hardware issue.
- Accessing to iLO remains possible and provides the following message:
System Power Fault Detected (XR: 24 00 MID: FF 0D FC 0E C0 FF FF 32 32 0C 0C 00 9E 01 00 01 03 47 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)
From previous posts, I have got some information:
- System info: FF 0D FC 0E C0 FF FF
- CPLD Version: 32 32 0C 0C 00 9E 01 00
I'm not able to decode more in depth, so is there any quick check or procedure to be done or do I consider the motherboard as broken?

we have a number of ProLiant DL380 Gen9 servers used with VMware vSAN, equipped with 2x SSD and 14x HDD drives. They recently started to generate strange hardware events.
While in the iLO4 web interface no hardware alert is shown it still generates "Service events" for our OpenView instance from time to time that look like this in OpenView:

In the iLO4 interface the event is shown in "Remote Support / Service Events" with
>>> Event Id = 500, Perceived Severity = 5, Event Category = HPQSS0500
However, the status of all components (including fans) is shown as green, and we do not know what the problem really is, or whether this is maybe just a false alarm. We do not have external storage connected to these machines, all disks are internal.
This may be related to firmware updates that were recently done. We are now at iLO4 version 2.80 and BIOS P89 version 2.74.
Has anyone else seen this or knows how to fix it?

Hello all, I just recieved a DL360 G6. I have a windows server installation on my USB Drive, but I can't boot to a USB drive, I've made sure boot order in the BIOS is USB first, I've made sure the USB settings are on. I'm again trying to install windows on this server. I've looked everywhere but it doesn't work for me. Please help.
