I mounted the firmware update ISO (P19473_001_spp-2019.09.0-SPP2019090.2019_0905.39.iso) to a USB thumbdrive and booted from it. It reached the question asking automatic or interactive update and I chose automatic.
I got message:

The firmware updates also fail from within Intelligent Provisioning. with message "Error: unexpectedly disconnected from boot status daemon.
Then Error: Invalid cluster:0
There is no way to update firmware.
I am unable to locate a source for the Compaq Proliant 5000 “Power Supply Maintenance Key”, part number 148757-001. It is a small white plastic key about 1 inch long that defeats the cover interlock switch. I have attached an image of the part taken from the maintenance manual. Does anyone know of a place that sells this part? Alternatively, if someone has one they’re willing to part with it would be appreciated.

I Know this is a old server, but its at home, so its fine for what I use it (or was).
So the problem: had 2 red lights blinking on the fornt panel, wouldnt start at all. unpluged power, ram, battery, reset the bios everything, nothing worked. Started unpluging internal cables, unplugged the backplane power cable, it started!
Problem 2: Fans start, is on for about 5 seconds, turns off, turns on again, turns off in an infinite loop. Never see anything on screen.
Any ideas?

I started to manage a running Proliant DL380 Gen9.
It has a Smart Array P440ar Controller with 6 x 600GB SAS 15K Small factor HD in RAID 5.
I need to add more storage (4TB) for file sharing. I don't need a very fast solution, and RAID1 would be ok.
What are my bests options?
If I add two 4TB drive in the two free slots in the existing cage, would it be possible to create a new array in RAID1 without breaking the existing configuration?

i have a challenge. i have 7 new Proliant DL 360 gen10. All are installed with HPE ROK Windows Server 2016. The RBSU config is at all server the same. I made the Driverupdates with the SPP - SUM.
Now i have 4 Server which have a exclamation mark at a usb mass storage device in the device manager.. 3 Server don´t have the usb mass storage device in the device manager shown - so they also do not have the exclamation mark :). I do not find any driver for this usb mass storage device. I do not know which hardware this is. is this hardware which is virtually routed?

I'm configuring a new Proliant ML110 GEN10 and trying to instal windows server 2016, I figured I could get to it through Intelligent Provisioning by hitting F10, once there i get a error message "reisntall intelligent Provisioning", I then attempted to reinstall Intelligent Provisioning via iLo remote media. I'm able to boot into the iso but then the installation fails with the error message "the firmware version of iLO is old can´t continue whith the flashing". after that i was unable to get in F10 menu.

I have three HP DL380 G9 servers. I have added three BBU one for each server.
In first server all was ok.
In the second server it says no bbu.
In the third server the battery is always "recharging".
What can I do? Should I change the 440ar controllers?

in a 440ar controller I have built a raid1 with sas disks and several raido0 with ssd disks.
I then disabled ssd smartcache and added controller cache.
SAS disk performance improved greatly using controller cache.
SSD improved nothing. I suspect the controller does not use its ram cache when the disk is ssd.
Or is it possible that with raid0 no ram cache is used?

I perched it as its got 2 12 core cpus and 128 gb ram so i want to use for Vmware
Now when i looked up uo the specs of the cpu it supported what i needed to run esxi they way i wanted to.
but after getting it and doing more resurch i found the cou does what i need but no the server its self.
I wan to use pash thought to run an gpu for windows 10 as a vurtual machine.
is there wany where to enable virtualizating to get pass thought to work on esxi or is that not possible with this server.
If its doesnt work ill take esxi off and install windows that way

I have a new sever hp DL20 Gen10. when I am trying to enter in smart storage administrator (version 3.40.3.0). But, under smart array controllers, I see " NO CONTROLLERS DETECTED". I have also noticed my hard drives immediately turn orange.
I've seen post where users are instructed to make sure controller is seated on the system board, or plugged into the PCIe slot. I have opened server, and from what I can tell, everything is connected.
Is there a driver I need or do I need to enable something, because I cannot get my drives to be seen.
Here's what i have done so far...
checked:
boot mode: UEFI
controller: HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 - when I go into controller information, no disks are found
When I check in System Utilities > System Information > Storage Device Information, I see

When I check in System Configuration, I see

when trying to unstall windows 2016 server using intelligence provisioning and windows ISO file from remote computer.
the copy and the extraction of the file is sucssesful but when the server reboot i got the following error :
WINDOWS COULD NOT PARSE OR PROCESS THE UNATTEND ANSWER FILE FOR PASS [SPECIALIZE].
Any idea or support on how to fix this issue ??
