adpu160m2 Event error HELL

Proliant ML370 G2.
Before update:
I recently installed 2 new Compaq 72GB 10k drives. They worked perfectly for 2 months without any errors until 2 weeks ago.
We just recently recieved 2 Maxtor 147GB 10k drives and those were installed in this week. The are formated but not being used until this matter is resolved.
I moved the page file to a new location off the C drive. Which in turn stripped about 2 mintues off of our boot time niceee. I removed the Tape backup and it no longer exists. Anyone want to buy an HP DAT 40x6?

Update:
Ran HP Smart Start 7.10 Boot CD and aeverythign passed with flying colors.. RRRRrr
Ran HP Firmware Boot CD and all firmware was up to date! pat on my back
Bought a new cable kit from HP!
New point to point scsi cable was replaced. Rebooted and got this.

I get one of these:

Controler?? Means mobo replacement since this is built on.
New controller? what happens to all the drives will everything be eaxctly like it is was with a new controller installed? Security, drive letters OS, the works, I have never done it this way before! Would everything have to be reconfigured? Remember everything is in a Hot bay with a simplex board!

I'm thinking to order a new mobo and test it next.

So what do you all think????? dynomite sounds good!

TXTSETUP.OEM NOT FOUND

We are reloading a ML350 G1. When I insert the disk that I extracted the file CP003472.EXE to during the Win 2000 install I get a msg stating that "The file txtsetup.oem could not be found." It is not in that file that I extracted and support said it was the correct driver. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Multiple drives with "Error F155: The read/write hard error rate is above the acceptable treshold"

We recently started experiencing errors with one of our applications. The support tech mentioned that perhaps the corruption was being caused by bad sectors on the disk. I ran HP Insight Diagnostics from the Smart Start CD and found that 4 of 5 disks had failed the check with:
 
Error F155: The read/write hard error rate recorded in the monitor and performance log is above the acceptable treshold.

The server is still running and the drives themselves have not failed. They just didn't pass the checks in the diagnostics. They should be replaced as soon as possible. Backups are still being performed.
 
Is it possible to replace a drive and let it rebuild, then replace another drive, rebuild, etc. with the drives in their current state? How would I start the process? Do I just pull one of the affected drives, let the hot spare take over, and insert a new drive?

HP Proliant 350 G5 linux

I am trying to install on HP proliant server Centos 6.7 version.

But have problem because centos doesn't recognise hard disks.

 

So I downloaded smart start CD, where it was described for Centos too.

But when I started that CD I only get options installing for Windows, from 2003 to 2008.

 

What I am doing wrong to no to get Centos options?

DL360 G5 32GB RAM

Hello,

 

our DL360 G5 accepting just 16GB RAM, if we try to add anything above 16GB server is not starting and ledsout displays errors on all RAM slots. We are using Kingston KTD-WS667/8G RAM.

Smart Array 6404/256

Hello,
We just installed a brand new SA6404 controller with 256MB memory and firmware 2.62.
When booting the server (DL380G4) it shows only 192MB.
Someone gota clue on why this is?
The DIMM on the SA6404 says it's 256MB.

Move array between server

I have a pair of ML350G2's, both are equipped with a Smart Array 532 Controller. I am chasing a chronic BSOD on one of the 2 servers that I am certain is hardware related.

The server that is crashing is MUCH more mission critical so in an effort to get stability to the server that needs it while I isolate the issue with the hardware I decided that I want to swap the two servers, that is simply move the array's from server A to server B and vice versa.

The array configuration between the two servers is different, any suggestions on accomplishing this?

My thought was to
1) Just try swapping them and see what happens, I am expecting tons of drive changed places type messages from this.

or

2) Pull the drives, syserase each server and then swap the drives from server to server.

Any suggestions?

SA 5304 failure

I have DL580 G1 with SA 5304. The server crashed with a error "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000077 (0xc000000e, 0xc000000e, 0x00000001, 0x007e5000)." The server came back up and the 5304 was missing from Windows. Was also missing from System BIOS. Replaced the controller and everything is back up. This has happened on another server last week. Anything I should be looking for? HP says its just a coincidence

I inserted the Hp smart array controller 6402/128 in slot number 3 of HP Proliant DL 380-G4 & I am getting the error as below:

1783 - Slot 3: Array Controller is in a lock-up state due to hardware configuration failure.(Controller is disabled until this problem is resolved).
Please assist me as soon as possible

Receiving Storage Agents: Fibre Channel Host Controller Status Change alert email ?

Hi All,

 

Can anyone please shed some light on this matter ? Rebooting the server and reconnecting/reseating the Fibre connection does not help.

 

I've just received this error email from the HP agent on the server PRODBackup01, but not sure if this is the problem in the server HBA or in the faulty Storage Array itself ?

 

The system has detected the following event:

No auto boot on power restore?

Greetings all,

 

We have 3 HP Dl 380 G7's clustered running ESXi 5.0 U3 with LeftHand SAN. We would like to make sure these 3 servers NEVER auto-restart when power has been restored after a power fail event. Ideally, we would access remotely via the ILO and power on when the ISCSi network is up and available.

 

I don't see anything in the ILO, other than auto start or delay,  but this is not the functionality we desire. And in the BIOS, the Automatic Power on setting when disabled says it will restore power to its previous state??!

 

Can this be done on the server (preferred) or should we be looking at the attached UPS functionality?

ML350 G5 Unable to Boot running Server 2003

History of problem:

 

Initial issue is Server wouldn't boot.  Noted Smart Array e200i (v1.80) Controller errors:  1794 (Battery charge low), 1729 (Disk Performance Optimization Scan), and 1720 (HDD Imminent failure).

 

Steps take to resolution thus far:

 

1.  Replaced Smart Array Battery and after 48 hours, errors 1794 and 1929 no longer occur.  However, 1720 does still appear.

 

2.  Tried removing failing HDD, but same error occurs when Windows does attempt to load:  LSASS.exe - System Error.  Security Accounts Manager initialization failed because of the following error:  Directory Service cannot start.  Error Status:  0xc00002e1.  Please click .... system further.

 

3.  Attempted Repair install using Server 2003 Disc 1, but during the repair install, the same error as in #2 above appears.

 

4.  Two or three times, errors for *** Hardware malfunction, Call yoru hardware vendor for support, NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error, *** The system has halted ***  occurred.  However, the past couple of restarts, this error has not occurred.  I'm assuming, at first thought, this is due to impending HDD failure.

 

Notes:  I noticed a hotfix for the error/issue in #2 above but it requires me to be able to boto into Windows to apply it.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Missing Post Messages - DL180 Gen9

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to resolve an issue with a new DL180 Gen9. Ther server is a fairly basic spec (8 x LFF - all populated, B140i - 2 x RAID 1+0, 2 x Xeon E5-2603v3, 8 x 8GB RAM).

 

The problem is that all post messages from the B140i, AHCI controller and iLO have disappeared! On page 2 of the boot sequence, where these messages normally appear, there's just a blank space as the computer boots. Both the storage controller and iLO are working perfectly normally - I can access the SSA and iLO configuration utilities and make changes in the normal way, the server works normally and the onboard diagnostics show no issues whatsoever. It's just the informational boot messages are no longer there.

 

If it's something simple, such as a switch to turn-off option ROM messages in the UEFI configuration, I can't find it. There's also nothing in the user guides. I did find an option to enable/disable debug messages for B140i, but it made no difference.

 

Does anyonje have any idea what might cause this to happen? There were no configuration changes made to the server (that I'm aware of) the boot time messages just stopped.

HP Proliant DL180 Gen 9 server noisy and restarts automatically

HP Proliant DL180 Gen 9 server cooling fans revs above 70% speed always and restarts automatically if any one of the power supply loss or gain power in redundant power supply system.   This occurs only with Intel P3700 SSD inserted. Otherwise server is very quiet and cooling fans revs below 15% and does not restart.  I tested with another Intel P3700 SSD but the same thing happens.  The server is a new one. HP support team simplg rejected to support stating that third party card is inserted.

 

Experts kindly help us to solve this issue.  Thanks in advance.

ProLiant Microseerver network issues

Hi

 

I have just completed the windows 10 upgrade on my micro server and my network card keeps telling me that the network cable is unplugged. I have rebooted a number of times tried changing the network cable and uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but still have the same issue. Can someone please help?

DL 380 G5 Internal health red light of death

I have had the red light of death from the internal health LED blinking for a while now. I have tried removing and reseating all the components inside the server with no luck. I also tried to mess with the maintenance function inside the server (switch6) and have had no luck. Can anyone help?

iLo configuration on DL 380 running Server Core 2012 R2 Datacenter

I need some assistance. Our network is being changed and I have a HP DL380 Windows Server running Server Core 2012 R2 Datacenter. I was able to previously access the iLo through the web interface on this server. I worked with our network team to Re-IP the iLo from the web interface, then they plugged the connection into a new switch on a new vLan. I forgot to reset/refresh the iLo when doing so, and now cannot access the interface to this Server Core machine with the new IP. I had another Server Core machine and we did the same thing but this time I did reset/refresh the iLo and I was able to access the interface through the web. Great! So on the first Server Core, I suspect that by not doing the reset of the iLo led me to not be able to access it. Is there any way I can access the iLo settings to this Server Core to either put back the old IP and or/reset the iLo to have it use the new IP that has been set?

HP Smart Update Manager Software 7.3

Could some one please provide me with a link to the HP smart update Manager 7.3 ISO.

 

I am running Vmware Esx 5.5 on my Ml 110 G7 and would like to update the firmware as it is playing up a little at the moment. I need the ISO to run the software as there is no Windows OS to directly run it from.

 

The HP website seems to be getting worse and worse for this and it just keeps sending me round in circles.

 

The warrently has expired on it and there is no enterprise agreement but that should not stop me being able to keep it up to date.

 

Any direct links would be helpful!
