Hello all. Have a refurbed DL380 G6 that works great. Howver have Vsphere 5.5 installed and has been crashing lately, so tryng to reinstall fresh version of ESX 5.5
I use a USB flash drive to boot the OS image
System now cycles through with the error in the title.
Have tried numerous flash boot drives with valid bootable OS image
Have even tried a CD but same problem.
Any ideas how to get out of this loop?

We have HP Proliant ML 350 with Currently total RAM installed 20 Gig. We want to expand RAM:
1-How much of RAM support on this system?
2-What Type of RAM with this Model?
3-Just upgrad RAM, is this model(hp Proliant ML 350) just upgrad the same way as Desktop machine does?
Please help me to get some of these informations or any idea, please let me know.

Thanks for looking at my post and I hope there is an answer to this ... I have a Proliant DL380 G5 that used to have a DC 3ghz processor .. I talked to HP Support and they told me it could be upgraded to a Dual Quad Core system .. So after getting the part numbers i went ahead and ordered everything, installed it and now it will not post, beep, or display anything ..
I replaced the DC with a Matched pair Intel Xeon X5460, two vrm modules, and two new heatsinks .. so looking advice as to why it might not post now .. I have tried clearing the NVRAM with number 6 dip switch but still nothing ..

Where can I find the actual power usage for an HP ProLiant ML150 Gen9 Server? We have just bought one for our business and need to put a UPS on it. I am thinking of a Riello UPS from EcoPowerSupplies.com - probably the 800VA model (http://www.ecopowersupplies.com/riello-ups/idialog-ups) as this should be OK for a 550W power supply. But the power rating of the supply is at full load which I can never see the UPS running at.

Receive serial XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX format.
Can i see this serial anywhere? Need for reinstall after reset settings.
Running 64bit linux kernel (SuSE variant). Server has 12 cores (2 CPU). Only one core is being detected by the OS (/proc/cpuinfo). Running in Legacy BIOS Boot mode and all virtualization is disabled.
Looking for things to try.

I have here a DL380 G5 with a Smart Array p400 controller. This is a training system and somehow after swapping parts and playing with SAS cables, the original RAID1 in slots 1and 2 got moved to slots 1 and 6. Slot 6 is the 2nd slot in the 2nd bay
That means one drive has moved magically from bay1 to bay2, maybe a cabling error but thats not the problem.
I thought that adding a hot spare into slot2 and pulling the drive in slot6 would solve the problem. Data migration worked well but it turns out that a hot spare will stay a hot spare forever and the controller is waiting for a replacement of disk6.
Is there a way to change the configuration in a way that HotSpare2 becomes ArrayDisk2 and the old disk2 is removed?
I'd like to avoid setting up the server again...

Our DL 160 Gen6 server has begun in the last two weeks to shut down randomly by itself.
The next error appears in the event log: VRD_FAIL_LED State Asserted Assertion
We have replaced the PSU Module but problem still occurs.
Any idea what might cause the server to shut down ?

We have HP DL 380p gen8 server with two processors, each processor is having 12 slots. Processor is CPU E5-2650. Memory total installed is 64GB and each processor is having 4 slots filled. All installed DIMM are 8GB.
I was thinking to buy more total 8GB*6 DIMMS, so each processor will get 3, and total memory will be 112 GB but before making order for buying memory I want to know if it is possible to install 3*8GB DIMM in a processor or should be 4 ?
Please share your experience. Please take a look at existing memory configuration through ILO

ILO4 firmware 2.22 introduces a setting whereby the failed-password login delay can be tuned. Unfortunately, I see no means of configuring it in the ILO's RIBCL dump or in the ILO CLI's /map1 area (although it can be set via the web GUI).
Does anyone know of a way that it can be set via hponcfg (or failing that, the ILO command line)? GUIs are nice for one-offs but they do not scale well.

I'm trying to run the firmware updates on a DL380 Gen8 server using the Intelligent Provisioning. I have confirmed that the NIC is configured and working. When I click on the firmware option I get a message that the update server cannot be contacted. I have tried this on 3 different servers all the same model. I have updated the Intelligent Provisioning to 1.62b but still receive the same error message.
2 weeks ago I was able to perform the update process on a DL380 G8 without issue. I tested the update process on that same server last week and this week and now I receive the error message cannot connect to update server.
Does anyone know if the Software Update Server URL has changed with HP splitting up home and enterprise devices? I did run across many links that redirected me to hpe.com domain.

here, it says to use HP SUM from SPP, but i cant find disered foldes in my SPP ( 9.10 ). In the other topics people advise to use FW CD, but i have no idea where can i get this one for DL580 G7.
