Which Intelligent Provisioning Versions are Includet in SPP 2015.04?

I'm new to HP Servers and ran into an issue installing WinServer2012 R2 on an ProLiant DL 360p Gen8. After installing the right upgrade of intelligent provisioning (1.61 worked) i was able to install W2012 R2 successfully. But boss beat for breaking SLA. Would i have been able to install IP 1.61 with SPP Image 2015.04? Yes or no?

BIOS Update HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8
I want to perform a bios update of our server HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8.
Current installed bios version is J04.
Under Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Download (Bios) there is a newer version P78 (for HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2). Can I use this bios update?

WWN matter on HP 82Q FC HBA
Dear All,
We have 2 Proliant DL380G9 with 1 HP 82Q on each server. Every HBA has it's own physical WWN, and those adapter has been well-known by Windows Server 2012. But when we used Powershell, WWN appeared has been different than it's physical. Could anybody help me regarding this issues ?
We use direct-connect between DL380G9 and MSA2040. Thank's.

The haunted slot - DL585 G2 / P400
When I took over managing some servers, I noticed that there was a blanking slot in one port of the eight slot SAS on board array. When asked why I was told any drive placed in that slot would go PFA shortly after. I took it to be a bad backplane, or controller or connector cable, or similar physical versus metaphysical cause. Now I am a beliver. We had a spare (parts) 585 G2 so I basically replaced everything. Moved a new memory/cpu/drive cartridge, replaced backplane, used different cables, and a different controller (had been P800 before but is P400 now). Base chassis stayed in rack so the physical drive box stayed. PFA cause is due to "Other Timeouts".
Help me either understand how it happens or get me that short lady from Poltergeist!

Smart Array p410i RAID I Disk Upgrade
Hi,
We currently have 2 500Gb spinning disks in a RAID I configuration. Since we are hitting our storage capacity limit, we want to safely replace both disks with 2 SSD's of 1Tb each without losing any data.
We have a Proliant G6, using a Smart Array p410i. What's the safest upgrade scenario that we can follow?

hp-scripting-toolkit-linux-10.30-26 GRUB timeout not working
Hi all,
I have a problem using the toolkit on a BL460c Gen9, I have created an ISO file and connected it as a virtual media through iLO.
The system is booting in UEFI mode until the grub menu appears, here I can manually select the option created by me but somehow the TIMEOUT parameter doesen't work. if I don't make any choise the grub menu will wait indefinitely which is not usefull if I want to run this toolset in an unattended mode.
How can get a timeout and continue booting?

Proliant ml150 g6 motherboard crash after POST
Hello all
I am quite desperate right now.
I am trying to build server from old proliant ml150 g6 motherboard. But it will crash on me each time few sec after post test. I was trying to go throught manuals but i didnt find there anything usefull.
What i tried :
- two diferent CPU
- 4 diferent ram modules
- Diferent funs
- Multiple diferent NPN tranzistor for thermal sensor (Looks like this poard using "thermal diode" for temperature sensing )
- Crear CMOS an BMC
I think one video is for 100 words so here it is :D

How Can I Re Image My computer.

I have a Problem
I have HP Prolian DL380p Gen8 Server.
This Server was down (hardware issue) 2 Hard desks fails in the same. so I bought 2 New drives and Installed them and created Raid 5 again with the same Capicity
I have Full System Image Recovery in an external HDD
when I attempt to recover this Image I tried to
1- Log in To HP IP and select Configure and Install then i Selected Manual Install then the server rebooted and select to boot from DVD Rom , I put inside the DVD-Rom Windows Server 2012 DVD then I selected Repair then troubleshoot , Then Restore Image Recovery ,
the wizard Automatically detect my Last backup from External HDD, Then I Choose next to finalize the restoration Process in the end ERROR comes with :
" Error details: The disk that is set as active in BIOS is too small to recover the original system disk. Replace the disk with a larger one and retry the restore operation. (0x80042407)"
2- I booted Directly from DVD ROM and selected Repair from Windows server 2012 Wizard then it detects Automatically my Last image . Then I selected Install Drivers I downloaded the Last version from HP Raid Driver P420i and installed it then I completed the process and same error appeared again

Error 1785 - NO Hard drives detected on a new ProLian ML310e Gen8 v2
I just bought a brand new ML310e Server and it's the first time I work on a server like that so you may forgive my lack of knowledge.
After it powers on, the following error appears:
*HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i RAID Controller (v3.54,0 0MB) 0 Logican Volume
*1785-Drive Array Not Configured
*NO Drives Detected.
I pressed F5 and checked the ACU, and i get error code 1: no Drives detected.
I restarted, pressed F9 to enter the BIOS setup
System Options-->SATA Controller Options-->Enable Dynamic HP Array B120i RAID Support
was already enabled.
My Server comes stock with 2 x 1TB : MB1000GDUNU
I also have 2 brand new WD2003FZEX that I would like to add later on, after resolving the 1785 error.

How to update homelab server (DL380 G5)
I have a homelab server that is running ESXi 5.1u1 and haven't updated the bios and any firmware since I bought it. I was wondering how can I upgrade the BIOS since I would need a warranty to download the bios from the HP support website? I'm willing to pay for it if needed.

Cannot activate windows 2012 ROK
Hi Everybody,
My client bought a new ML350 G9 with Windows 2012 Std ROK, I installed the server with intelligent provisioning and in that phase I wrote the licence number find on the ROK.
Installation was completed well and server is up and running but at first start asked again the licence id. So I checked if the activation was completed and found that is not.
Internet connection works (done update), but still cannot activate and see this message:
error 0xC004B100 The activation server determined that the product could not be activated
On the event viewer I see (translated from italian):
Could not get activation token (hr=0xC004B100) for model id ID {88d92734-d682-4d71-983e-d6ec3f16059f}
What's Wrong ?

DL580 G7 E7 Upgrade issue
Hello there,
I'm an administrator IT and also repair desktop computers & servers for many years.
We have an DL580 G7 whose warranty expired 12/31/2015. Originally supplied with Xeon E7530 and standard memory cartridge, we recently upgraded it to E7-4870 and E7 memory cartridges. Since then, we are in big trouble to ensure that it works. In order to locate the issue, I proceeded with a sequential test:
1) PROC1=A, PROC2=B, PROC3=X, PROC4=X, POST=TRUE
2) PROC1=C, PROC2=D, PROC3=X, PROC4=X, POST=TRUE
3) PROC1=A, PROC2=X, PROC3=B, PROC4=X, POST=FALSE

5) PROC1=A, PROC2=C, PROC3=X, PROC4=B, POST=TRUE

According to Hp QuickSpecs for this particular ProLiant server, E7-4800 series are only supported in DL580 G7 CTO (643086-B2x) & Preconfigured models (6430xx-xx1/6967xx-xx1). From what I know, the main difference with a entry-level are E7 cartridges. Motherboard, CPU board and I/O board are the same part numbers.
To resume, it seems that server doesn't post when socket PROC3 is mounted with a E7-4870. I suspect a electrical issue on this socket because TDP is higher than E7530.
I plan to replace CPU board, any advices are welcome.
Do any of you have already met such a problem ?

hp dl380 g9 problem

i have a wonderful problem with my server
config is : HP dl380 G9
1 * intel Xeon 2650V3/ 32GB memory(2*16GB ) / p440ar 2GB smart controller / 2 * samsung SSD 850 pro 512gb with raid 1/ 2* Hp HDD 1..2TB 10K with Raid 1
i just run Hyperv service and run 2 virtual machines (windows 2012 R2 datacenter)
windows and machines are located on SSD hards drives,
the problem is:
the server is too slow, when i copy a file form drive c to drive c speed will decrease until MB/s (picture is attached)
the SQL is too slow( i compared the server with a pc ( with core i3 cpu,4GB memory,and a Samsung SSD 850 pro) .
it was amazing the pc has better performance.
i just checked every things, i replaced all part step by step,changed windows, reconfig smart array . but still have problem.
does any body had same problem to help me????

HP Smart Array P421 can't detect drives
We got HP Gen8 server ordered which have embeded HP Dynamic Smart Array B320i RAID Controller controller and additional HP Smart Array P421. Drives are detected under B320i RAID Controller but we don't want to use it so I switched it off in BIOS. Now I'm trying to get these drive to be detected in HP Smart Array P421 controller but unfortunatly it doesn't work and controller always reports "No Drives Detected" :(
Host Bus Adapter recognize drives correctly.
What I missed in configuration ?
I have no phisical access to server as it has been shipped straight to Datacenter but I have access via iLO.

DL380 G5 with an MSA 60 enclosure. Drive Firmware issue

I inherited an old DL380G5 with an attached MSA60 with 3 trays of 300Gb SAS disks. When I replaced a failed disk I got an event saying that the new drive (same Model) has outdated firmware "a firmware update is needed for the physical drive with product ID DF300ABAAA connected to array controller P800 located in server slot 3. The recommended minimum firmware revision should be HPD8. I am now also getting repeating Cissesrv 24677 ID events in the system log referencing an inconsistent stripe that
I ran the latest PSP for a 380G5 on the box and upgraded everything and ran it again and it didn't pick up on the outdated firmware for this replaceement disk so I am at loss as to what to do next. Any ideas on how to fix?
Should I search for a specific drive firmware exe to run?

ML350p Gen8 - Adding a SAS Expander
Hi I attempted to added an addioanal SAS Expader to an production ML350P G8 server . I wired it up to the the P420 controller however upon boot, only the first 4 orginal drives were detected in the orginal bay. Drives 567and8 were not! nether did the dirives work in the new expander. I wired it back as it was and the the origainal drives work again. Any idears. I was thinking firmware upgrade first, but would like to see if anyone has any other idears as its is a production server so need to mimimise downtime. I have attaced a photo of how I wired it up. DL380 Gen9 with NVIDIA NVS 310 won't boot
Firstly, the reason for the graphics card is to test some RemoteFX stuff in 2012 R2. I had previously installed a low-end GeForce card successfully, but after failing to get RemoteFX to work (in both Win 7 Ent - with RDP 8.1 - and Win 10 Ent), I decided that RemoteFX didn't like the card.
After a little research I saw a few people recommend the NVS 310 (not the 300 - which only supports DirectX 10), so I bought one on the cheap.
Well, it doesn't work in my server apparently. I tried two different risers (in x16 and x8 lanes) and even disconnected the GPU's tiny fan in case it was causing some weird power spike. Nothing worked.
After turning on, the "Early system initialization" screen gets to 100%,. Then at the bottom it says "Switching console output to Primary Video. Please wait" before presumably crashing because I am immediately presented with a white, artefacty screen. (The images attached explain better.)
Also, the health LED on the server flashes red once it crashes, indicating some kind of system failure.
Hoping someone can help or give some insight.
