Dear HPE Support Community!
We have configured the iLO4 of two DL360e Gen8 and 3 DL380p Gen8 to send SNMP traps to our monitoring server, which is running KS Soft Advanced Host Monitor. There is a strange behaviour going on. The servers which have ESXi 5.5 (with latest updates) installed seem to randomly send SNMP traps (with the iLO Host Name as data). When I get the alerts and log in to vSphere, I can't see any anomalies. Also in iLO4, I can't see any entries in the IML or the iLO Event Log. The DL380p Gen8 servers, which do not have ESXi installed, don't send those traps.
Does anybody have an idea about what I could do?
Many thanks in advance!
Best regards
Hi all,
I bought a HP Proliant ML10 v2 a montht ago. I installed Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter on it and it was working well until the power failure in my office.
The Windows doesn't boot after the power supply is restored. I see these screens which I think the hard disk is gone ?
Can anyone please suggest me what can I do to fix this ?
Thanks,
Cheekian
Hey all,
Seeing if anyone else has had this problem and/or found the solution- after the latest upgrade of OA firmware 4.50(completed last week), it seems some(not all) of my VC's can no longer communicate with their enclosure's OA's. This results in the status on the VC's going Orange, and I am no longer able to assign server profiles to slots. So far this has not caused any interruption. The very maddening part of this is that there is a button to re-enter the OA credentials into the VC. It asks for the OA IP, user name and pw- pretty standard. I can see in the logs on the OA that the login takes place from the VC. However, the VC still remains clueless. Anyone else run across this?
So my OA's are running 4.50(successful upgrades to both OA's), and my VC's are running 4.31.
Hi!
We have an HP ProLiant ML350 G6 which since january or february, seems to be rebooting randomly. At first, we were not aware of this, as we had no alert configured and was not during production hour. Now, it's happening during the day, causing problem with people working on it.
We tried to look at this, uninstalled the Eaton software and USB cable, as it seems to have started at the same time, no luck. My colleague told me he did update drivers for the NIC, as it was stuck at 100mbps.
I know there is some diagnostic to do again, like updating all drivers, updating Bios and firmware (afraid, if the server reboots :/ ). Windows is Up to date (W2008 R2)
So basically, anyone seen this? We receive email Foundation Agents, SNMP trap: 11020 that the health changed to UNKNOWN then failed, and the server has rebooted little before.
Thanks for any help :)
Edit: all firmware are up to date, from what I saw:

I've had the same problem on various servers using P410i array controllers. Replacing drives in predictive failure with known good drives will not clear the predictive failure. The drives are replaced and go through the rebuild process only to come back online and starting flashing the predictive failure again. As far as I can tell there are no problems. I've had to go so far as to replace all the drives with exactly the same part number/model number drives and completely redo the array and reload the OS. It's acting like the errors aren't cleared out of the controller when the drive is replaced although the ADU shows the new serial numbers. Firmware is up to date and the problem has been occuring through a couple of releases. Any ideas as I currently have one incedent outstanding and I don't want to have them start from scratch just to clear the led.

Good afternoon,
I have searched the forums here for this problem and I found a few others with similar issues.
My DL380 doesnt attempt to boot from C: it just skips to NIC booting and then fails.
Have looked in BIOS and I see the Smart Array Controller listed as controller 1 and I can watch post messages and the controller initilizes and states 1 logical drive found.
I bunch of PCI embedded devices use IRQ 10 including the controller, is this normal?
Then "drives that were previously unavailble appear available again.
Press F1 or F2
I am thinking I have controller issues but it appears the system recognizes the controller.
Any thing else I should check? Of course this is a domain controller and one of my locations!

I have a ML server with a built in B110i controller.
I tried to replace a disk that went bad and all kind of bad happened. I assumed that port 3i box 1 bay 3 was the third SATA device.
I need to know for sure what disk goes to wich SATA controller port to get a disk replaced. I attached snippet from the Array config utility.
Thanks ahead of time!

Does anyone know how to find the 'support forums' on HPE website. I get there by complete accident and then can't seem to see all the posts for a particular server (i.e. ML350 gen 9). Is this intentional? Am I only suppose to see the New Post button....or execute a specific search?
A customer wants to mix 2 SAS 3.5" Hard Disks for NOS (in the primary cage) using the integrated B140i; with 3 SATA 3.5" 2TB Disks for data (in a secondary cage), using a H240 HBA to control the second cage .
Its this configuration supported,
