DL380 Gen9 - PCIe SIMATIC CP1623 card cannot start

Hello guys,

I'm having troubles getting my SIMATIC Miniport CP1623 PCIe Adapter/Card (network indastrial ethernet) working in the new DL380 Gen9 servers.

"This device cannot start (code 10) operation failed."

Anyone else having troubles with PCIe slots running Windows 2012 R2 with all latest windows update, HP SPP 2016.04 and even the latest BIOS 2016.6.2. I'm getting long boot times (20 minutes) and the card not working / device cannot start error message in the device manager.

anyone got any advice?

HPE is refusing to give support because this is not a supported PCIe card although you can find installation manuals on their ftp servers ...

ProLiant DL380 G7 - Can't detect new hard drives

Hi,

The company that I'm employed at had been using the Hp Proliant Dl380 G6 and G7. We needed to replace a few hard drives, the ones that they were using before was an Hp invent eg0300fawhv 300gb 10k sas 2. 5 server hard drive (507119-004) We replace those with a 507129-004 HP 300GB 2.5" SFF 6G Dual Port SAS 10K RPM Hot Plug Hard Drive. When we connected the new hard drives, they did not sync, the light imidately turned orange indicating that something went wrong, we are at a loss beacuse every method that we tried seemed to fail, if anyone knows how to fix this problem, I would really appriciate the help.

B110i - Array not rebuilding - Code 776 (Ready for Recovery) is queued for rebuilding.

hello
'ive replaced 1 Hdd in Raid 1 with controller B110i but the utility (from windows) is blocked on "Code 776 (Ready for Recovery) is queued for rebuilding."

The original (last) disk is a : ATA ST500DM002-1BD14 
I've put, as second disk a Seagate MB0500EBZQA  

In B110i log i see some error:

Drive Model ATA ST500DM002-1BD14
Drive Serial Number Z6EGQXK3
Drive Firmware Revision KC48
SCSI Inquiry Bits 0x00
Compaq Drive Stamped Stamped For Monitoring (0x01)

IOPS per disk in DAS HP D3600

Could you please let me know which is the IOPS for each disk?

I need to have 800 Mbps write and 200 Mbps read and not sure how many disk I need to add up to that requirement

ILO 4 remote console ProLiant DL360p Gen8 keystrokes repeated , remote server useless

Hello everyone , I searched everywhere but I can't find a fix for our problems so I write here to ask if someone know how to solve it.

We have 2 servers ProLiant DL360p Gen8 both have debian installed (one debian8 the other debian7) .

One server is in China and one is 500 meters far from our office ( in our private network).

We have a worrying problems with iLO 4 remote console .

The hp ios application for ipad makes repeated strokes so we can't insert passwords correctly .

We decided to update iLO from fw version 1.40 to 2.40 to solve this problem.

But the problem was not fixed.

We discover also that:

Java Applet console won't start if we tried to connect to the chinese remote server while to the local server it works correctly.

If we click on the Java Applet link nothing happen.

I'm using debian 8, 64bit with firefox as client , I have installed Oracle Java(TM) Development Kit (JDK) 8

Same problem with windows xp using chrome.

So we use "Java Web Start" that let us see the remote console.

But now we have keystrokes repeated also using the pc not only in the tablet app remote console.

The port forwarded in the chinese server for iLO is not the 443 but since I can connect to it (having repeated keystrokes) I think this is not the problem.

The chinese server is not usable in this state , and we don't have collegues in China that can check the server for us.


If only it was possible to paste from clipboard the password maybe I would be able to login to the server, but is not possible right?

I attached an example screenshot where I tried to type "ls" many time and the server repeats the letters.

What is wrong ? how can I fix it? the server is useless in this way..

Configure iLO 4 to send alert email for hardware failure

Hello all!

I have an issue with iLO 4 and trying to get it to email me whenever a hardware component on one of my ProLiant DL360p Gen8 servers fails or goes into a degraded state.

I already have the email set up and tested.  It will send me test emails and I can recieve them.  I have installed AMS on my test server.

I would like to configure iLO 4 to send out and alert email for things like overheating, fans failing or degrading, storage arrays degrading or failing and hard drives degrading or failing. 

I can't seem to correctly configure AMS nor the iLO 4 Administration -> Management settings to send out an alert if a failure occurs and the procedures provided by HP seem to be lacking in certain details about how to set the correct configuration.

Does anyone know how this needs to be done?

Error 805 - Unsupported Processor Detected After upgrading with 3.6MHz Xeon

I have 2 DL360 G4s (Bios ver: P52 12/2/2004), They had one 3.2MHz cpu  in each, and work fine.

I move one of the cpus to the other machine  (again no problem.) and added 2 SL7ZC 3.6MHz Zeon to the 2nd.

These are proper HP spares with heatsinks and acording to the spec these cpus are supported.

However I get the Error "805 - Unsupported Processor Detected" and asks for a ROMPAQ FD. I have not found any upgrades to address the problem.

Additionally: when using a DELL KVM the screen is blank. Connected the video directly to a monitor and works fine - odd?

Microserver G8 Warranty Issue?

Hi,

i have an perculiar issue with my warranty on a new bought Microserver G8.

i have bought a unit on a online it store, and when i was looking for the drivers and stuff on the HP site, i notiched that my new unit only holds warranty till 17-12-2016.

and found 1st entry's into iLO4 from 16-07-2015

if im not mistaken, an HP server always holds an minimum of 1Y right?

 

so is this an 2nd hand unit, sold like new, or can i ask HP for the correct warranty date set trough buying date.

HP Proliant DL560 Gen9 not discovering internal Disk drives

Hi,

I went to Smart Storage Administrator but did not discover any disk drives..  I saw the Smart arrays (Dynamic P4xx.... & P4xx....) but none of them could discover the internal disk drives.

The Dynamic smart array was seeing only the CD Drive.

I tried to toggle betwwen HBA mode and Smart Array Raid mode configurations but still there are no discovery of disks drives.

Please Advise.

Unable to update Intelligent Provisioning firmware 1.62B

 Hi,

We have a ProLiant ML350e Gen8 server and tried to Firmware Update for the requirmnet od Windows Server 2012R2 Install.

Updated Firmware;

1. Online ROM Flash Component

2. HPE Intel Online Firmware

But HP Intelligent Provisioning 1.62B not updating, when updating occured error named "Return Code".

Please give us solution for fix above matter.

HP DL380 G5 One disk in array rebuilding againg and again

Good evening!

I have problem with HP DL380 G5 server with Smart Array P400 controller.

I have RAID1+0 with 4 SATA 500GB disks inside.

Today morning, array started to rebuild logical drive. In details, it said that disk in bay 4 is rebuilding.

That's ok, but after rebuild system has been working for maybe 20 minutes and rebuilding of this disk started again.

The situation is repeating all day long, I don't know what to do now. Replace disk, replace RAID controller?

If You need any more datails, I will post it here.

Hi, i have a DL120 gen9 equiped with a shared ilo4 interface.

The two server's interface are configured in a Esxi teaming, and when i have enabled the ilo, its address, it's unreaceable until i unplag the second teming interface.

Switch side i have a procurve and the two interface are configured in a trunk mode.

Can i have a working ilo and a working esxi teaming same time?

Mac address via iLo API

I'd like to retrive the Mac addresses of interfaces via the iLo API.  The API documentation states that this information should be located here 

'/rest/v1/Systems/1/NetworkAdapter'

But when I make a call against that URL I get a 404.  Does anyone know how to retrive this data?

Возник интерес обновить ЦП на BL460c g8, по спикску выбрали топовые 2697v2 но непонятно какой радиатор для таких ЦП купить, стандартный или Katar Wide p\n 712432-001 ?

 

There was an interest to upgrade the CPU on the BL460c g8, on top 2697v2 spiksku chosen but it is unclear how such a radiator for the CPU to buy , standard or Katar Wide p \ n 712432-001?
