Hi ,
I have OS disks in RAID1, where one of the disk is predictive failure and other disk is total failure. What is the best way to replace these disks with data intact.? Will i be able to do it. If so, How?

Hi
I have a number of HP DL based servers that have now been retired by HP. I assume that for HP, retired means End of Sale.
I have noticed that drivers and management software however continues to be updated. So my question is, for how much longer after product retirement do HP to continue to support and update their software? IS there a date, or as long as the OS you are running on the server is supported on both the hardware by HP and the vendor, they will continue to update the software.
Thanks
Julian
Hello everyboy, We buy this server wit 2 HD 1TB 8GB ram but I install and power on and No video en the monitor. I change the monitor cable, I have one converter from Display Port 1..2. to VGA (new), and nothing.
Please let me know everybody How resolve this error.....
Best regards..
I own a HPE GEN9 ML110 server, such as Windows Server 2012 R2 installed serving Hypervisor function with Hyper-v and I have two virtual machines running. I need to provide more powerful graphics capabilities to these virtual machines so I need to install a video card that server. I need to find an alternative benefit cost for the plates that are approved by HPE to me and unfeasible cost because the value is up to 3 times the server.
those thought are these:
HP NVIDIA Quadro K2200 Graphics Accelerator J0G89A
HP NVIDIA Quadro K4200 Graphics Accelerator J0G90A
Does anyone have a better suggestion?
We have a ProLiant DL360 Gen9 with a Smart Array P440ar Controller containing 4 x 600GB 12G SAS 15K drives configured in to 1 logical drive using RAID 5. I have added a 5th drive of identical type the the first 4 and wish to use it to expand the size of the current RAID array. But I'm unable to find a way to do this using the HP Smart Storage Administrator.
Can you tell me if this is possible, and if so how it should be done.
Thanks.
Good day to all,
Please give me advice how to solve the problem with client's SL390G7 2U LeftTray that can't start with pressed power button or from Ilo3 virtual power button. The action the same-start, front leds blinks (power led become green for a momment, hdd leds become blue-green-blue-amber-green, health led green for a momment) then faults back to off position (amber power led, health led is off). ILo3 web interface working rather normaly, but shows nothing helpfull-IML is empty, system information->summary->Subsystem devices shows for all (fans, temperature, power supplies) "Not installed".
I tried to start server from another tray of s6500 chassis (upper 2 trays or lower 2 trays Left side of chassis)-nothing new. Also i tried to start server in minimum configurtion ( one cpu1, 2 x 8GB RAM and personality board)-nothing new. Also i tried to replace CPUs in there sockets-no effect. Also i tried to replace Power Supply Units (4 quantity) at there places in the chassis-no effect.
The server is alone in the chassis and client don't have another chassis s6500 to test.
What may be the reason of this behavior-system board, personality board, power backplain of chassis or something else?
Would glad to heare any opinion.
Thanks.
I have an old Proliant DL360 G3 that I bought for testing linux and I can't get the server to boot/install any OS from any media (CD/DVD) except what was originally on it - Server 2003. The unit will boot from other CD's such as Hiren's Bootdisk and other bootable disks, just not any disk with an OS (Linux or Windows) other than 2003.
I have selected F9 and set the OS section to all the possible settings but it still don't see a bootable CD/DVD. Keep in mind I can take the CD/DVD and boot any other PC or server from it like I am going to install the OS and it works. Just not on the DL360.
What Am I missing here?
Thanks. Mspec
Hello.
We have configured our system's iLO to use LDAP over 636 successfully. However, there is no place via the GUI to install our company's internal root CA for the iLO to trust the certificate presented by our domain controllers.
It seems as if iLO just trusts any certificate presented to it, which is bad.
How to make iLO only trust our private root CA certificate only for LDAPS authC communication?

Hi
i have HP DL380 G9 server, i am running VMware EXSI 6.0 on it, recently i installed HP HBA H241 12Gb SAS Card to connect to DELL MD3420 series Storage Array but i am unable to recognize any storage LUNS.
Hello,
Can i use IP to install Win 2012 R2 HP branded on 380 G9 (Hp Win 2012 R2 Recovery Disk)? I asking this because i already tried, but in the end i'm stuck with the command prompt part and nothing happens.
Regards,
M.
The issue im having happens intermittently which is really strange. When I try turn it on it doesn't boot. The fan on the power supply runs continuously regardless of whether the computer is turned on or not. When i attempt to turn the server on there is a brief moment of power then the system health led goes red and nothing else happens except the power supply fan continues to run. There are no lights on on the mother board other than the green one to tell me the power is connected.
I have tried to reseat all components and ensured everything is connected correctly. I disconnected every component leaving only what was needed to attempt to boot to bios with no change.
I removed the battery from the mother board and also tried resetting the cmos/nvram multiple times and nothing seems to be working.
The wierd part is that occasionally the system will boot up normally but after about 10-15 mins it dies and the systems health led comes on again. For example i was trying to get it to work last night with no success but when i came to try this morning it booted up first time for about 10-15mins before it died again and iv not been able to get it to boot again all day.
Please help.
I've bought a used DL 160 G6 and have to run the server in a quiet environment. How can I get the BIOS upgrade without service contract?
Hi
Sorry i'm a bit of a newb when it comes to these things, but i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
We had a server installed which has 6 SSDs,
5 are assigned to the Smart Array P440ar Controller.
1 is assigned to the Dynamic Smart Array B140i controller.
I want all 6 to be managed by the P440ar controller so i can use them all in 1 RAID array. How do i achieve this?
Thanks
Mick
I have 4 ProLiant DL380 G6 servers with Windows 2012 R2 installed and all updates. I have a NC522SFP Dual Port 10GbE Server Adapter installed in each server with driver version 5.3.10.1101 (the latest I could find). The are connected to an HP 6600ml-24XG (J9265A) switch with J9285B-AO 7M 10GBASE-CU SFP+ TWINAX F/HP PASSIVE DAC Cables.
I keep getting QLNDNIC Link is down in the System Event on the servers. It happens anywhere from 1 to 3 times per hour, but not every hour. The times on the servers do not match each other. The switch logs show lots of CRC/Alighnemt erros and Link flapping.
Any ideas?
Thanks so very much for any help!!!
Hi All,
A bit info on my setup:
I have with me a HP Proliant DL380 G9 running on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with 2 x P441 Storage controller and a unit of HP D6020 disk enclosure with dual I/O modules installed.
I have connected one of the SAS port from one of the P441 to SAS port on the primary I/O module of drawer 1 on the D6020. And another connection from SAS port of the second P441 to SAS port on the secondary I/O module on drawer 1 of the D6020.
My issue / questions:
I am managing the D6020 using HP SSA. I can create new disk arrays using the first P441 using HP SSA, but when i click on the 2nd P441, i don't see the disk arrays that i have created earlier using the first P441. I need to do a reboot and then only both P441 can see the arrays that i have created in HP SSA. Is this normal or is there something i am missing from my setup?
