I have a client with ML110 G7 + B110i. It has 2 x Raid 1's, 250G + 250G and 1T + 1T
The 1T Raid 1 set is very short of space. I could use 2x2T disks and in 2 steps replace the 2x1T. I believe I'm right that this controller can't enlarge the Raid 1 array.
But, can this controller create another logical drive in the extra space?

In HP Network Configuration Utility I see two teams set up as per subject. Route print shows me that both connections have a default gateway with the same metrics. How to figure out which connection is going to be used when I start transmitting data? I mean I can check that from Resource Monitor on Server 2012 but there has to be some priority set somewhere that I'm missing that would sent the traffic thrugh one team or the other.
I purchased a HEWLETT-PACKARD server (ProLiant ML350p G8 5U Tower Server Intel Xeon E5-2609 v2 2.5GHz / 736983-S01 / ) in 2015. recently it keeps hang and I didn't find any obvious clue in the system event log. do you know if there any free help I can get from HP for troubleshooting?
In my Proliant ml350G4 are connected in the backplane (backplane 366862-001) connected to a Smart Array 641 controller of 6 scsi hard disks only the two upper, what can be the reason? All hard drives are ok. When starting, all hard disks light up briefly, then only the two upper hard disks start, then no LED lights up. Also in the configuration one sees only the two upper hard disks. What can be the reason?
Resolved an issue where an Uncorrectable Memory Error is inaccurately reported in the Integrated Management Log (IML) when a DIMM fails to properly initialize during system boot. The inaccurate message states "207-Uncorrectable Memory Error detected by ROM-based memory validation (Memory Module X)" where X indicates an incorrect DIMM number. The IML will now report "207-Memory initialization error on Processor X DIMM Y. The operating system may not have access to all of the memory installed in the system." where X indicates the processor number and Y indicates the DIMM number for the DIMM that failed to initialize properly"
Sometimes the issue persists because of the Processor socket too.
Also sometimes due to unclean socket for the DIMMS.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide on how to update a DL360p G8 BIOS via iLO?
iLO states that it can update system rom, but the only download I can find for this server is an online flash update. Within the downloaded file is an EE1 file which | guess is the BIOS, but want to to confirm if I can simply upload this via iLO before I end up bricking the server.

I am upgrading a very old webserver DL380G5 5150 performance model from a dualcore xeon 5150 to a xeon e5450 only I have problems getting it to work. The server boots but won't post.
I have found that the serial number from this motherboard should be able to work with this cpu.
I tried 2 e5450 together and I tried them apart, I switched the vrm's, but it won't post.
Does anybody know what could be the problem? Could it be both xeon e5450 cpu's are death? The bios is from 04-06-2007.
And yes this antique server is enough for my application, it's 10 years old but runs great, only a little bit more cpu would be great.

Hope I'm posting this in the right area!
I'm running an ML330 G6, Windows 2008 SP2
It has a Smart Array P410, No Battery/Cache.
4x 250GB drives in 2x RAID 1.
Latest Driver for this 2008 Server (NOT R2), latest firmware - 6.64.
If I replace each drive, one by one (allowing RAID to rebuild in between) with 500GB or 1TB disks, is there a way of expanding the Logical drive, even if it means booting to Smart Start? I know I need the Cache and battery if I'm to perform an online expand/extend, but can I do this, without the battery/cache, as an Offline task - I'm struggling to find information, despite an extensive search - everythings is telling me I need the battery/cache to do this online - That would be nice... but is it possible to do offline, without the battery/cache?
Alternatively, I'm needing to do this to increase the space available to an Exchange Database, would the Unused space appear (after swapping the drives and waiting for RAID rebuilds), which could be used to create a second Logical Drive (well, 3rd actually!), but second off that RAID 1 set, so I could simply create another 250GB drive in Windows, create a new Exchange Database, and migrate some mailboxes to it - easing the 1st DB's storage usage?

Hi,
I have a customer which suffered an unexpected shutdown of one of his servers (Proliant DL320e Gen8 v2)
According logs inside the server it seems that someone pressed the power off button but the customer swears that is impossible.
I donwloaded logs inside ILO from Active Health System (AHS) but you need a valid maintenance contract and it is expired.
Before renewing the contract I would like to know if "pressing the power off button" like actions are registered in AHS logs.
Any HP employee here?

We loaded a Proliant DL580 G5 with Server2012 R2 and it is having some issues locating USB drivers. We are having to use a ps2 mouse/keyboard. I tried googling the hardware ID's of the unknown USB devices but results showed some sketchy results that I wouldn't download anything from. These are the hardware ID's:

When I let Windows try to update the driver, I get the "intel 631xesb/6321esb/3100 chipset usb universal host controller 2688" error occurred during the installation of the device.

I was having an issue that was described perfectly in quite a few threads. HP actually posted an advisory and fix on this issue.
But now after using their fix, the machine just randomly shuts down. No Errors, no warning, and no more blue screen.
Does anyone know where i can start at trying to figure out the real issue? The machine boots fine and turns off after about an hour.

note this server is brand new first boot up and the drive too a new one,for the momoent i purchased just one drive to try the server so i dont need raid config,

I have several HP DL 380 G9's that do not boot from virtual drives "Image File CD/DVD-ROM"
BIOS settings allow for USB control Enabled and USB boot support Enabled
There is a usb attached to this remote device. Server wants to install from usb not virtual drive.
Is there something that can be set to force this?

Is it possible to flash the HP ProLiant DL185 G5 Storage Server to a proper server. On Dell PowerVaults this was possible by flashing an image of a corresponding server e.g NX3000 to a r710.

I took out the battery of the ML30 to get screen shoots of what it looks like when the battery is out to long (30 Min). It will not power on now. I have checked all of the connections and they are good. When I turn on UFI it show that the it has forgotten everything. The iLo Host name now showes wrong also, its like it completly lost its memory.
