HP Proliant ML10 Gen9 Network Driver issue
Hi All,
We bought HP Proliant ML10 Gen9 server but i am unable to install network driver and i am getting following error:
"The software will not be installed on this system because the required hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmare doesn't apply to this system"
I have also attached error as a jpg.
Can someone please help ?

HP iLO Domain Name - can't remove domain name, only change to some other name
Hi,
I have some name set for domain name. When I change it to some other name, it's ok, changes go to pending.
But I want to remove domain name (clear it, blank), but then I get the error that it's invalid.
Is there some solution for this?

DL360P Replacing Non-HPE SSD drives in RAID1 array
I have a DL360P Gen 9 and have 2 non HPE 240GB SSD drives in a RAID1 array. These are my boot drives.
The system says they are degraded but are working okay. I want to replace these with HPE SSD drives so it does not continually have the flashing yellow light and have the system saying they are degraded but don't want to lose what is on the drives.
I am hoping that as it is a RAID1 array I can just pop out one of the drives and insert the new HPE drive and it will rebuild the RAID1 array. Once it is rebuilt I can pop out the other drive and do the same to that.
Question is will this work as I hope and can I do this on the fly or do I have to do it from the Intelligent Provisioning.
The drives have my Domain controller and Exchange running under VMWare and certainly don't want to lose them.

Registering my DL360P
How do I get my DL360P registered so that I can download updates/tools for it?
I tried from the iLO but it keeps saying it cannot connect even though it has a clear route to the internet and everything else on it can find things. I tried registering it directly on the HPE site under Add Device but cannot enter any details for it to be able to register it.

Long term HP customer very frustrated
I'm a bit frustrated at this point. Despite some really excellent advice, this problem is still a problem:
Can anyone lay out my options? Is the only way I can get support to rectify these blinking light by purchasng a contract? The equipment is working fine as far as any diagnostics goes and the one crash that happened may have not been linked to this, but the hard drives listed keep blinking blue, which blocks my ability to see whether they are working correctly since the lights are always blinking blue. (No, they aren't selected to identify in any of the utilities.) Currently, we are just ignoring the problem as we don't seem to have any other options, but obviously, I'd like a better solution. Can someone layout if I have any options shy of purchasing a conract?

ML110 Gen9 Mixing LFF and SFF drive cages
Hi There
I am wondering whether my Gen9 LFF ML110 server can support a mix of drive cages. I currently have one 4 drive LFF drive cage in the unit and wanted to look to add a second drive cage. I would like to add a 8 drive SFF cage.
The chassis seem to be exactly the same for the LFF and SFF version of the servers and the opening is the same size for both drive cages.
Would this configuration be supported by HPE?

Poor write speed of Kingston DC400 SSD on G7 Server
Hello,
I am using Kingston SEDC400S37/960G Enterprise SATA SSD on HP DL 380 G7 server.
Its giving me gud read performance but the write performance is very poor.
SEQ Read - 247.96 MB/s Write - 82.21 MB/s
4K Read- 15.40 MB/s Write - 1.63 MB/s
Acc.Time Read - 0.302 ms Write - 2.431 ms
I have P410i Raid controller and firmware/drivers are updated.
SSD Firmaware is also updated.

Mac Address Conflict on 2 Proliant 380 G8 Servers
Hello,
I am in a very weird situation now, i am planning to convert my physical servers to virtual soon, Depending on 2 identical HP Proliant DL380 G8, each server has 4 Ports NIC,
after installing the ESXI 6.5 HP ISO, gave different IPs for each host on Vmnic0 as management interface. and brought both servers online, i detected some network issues, some times on server-1 and sometimes on server-2, after checking, i found a shocking situation. both server Ports nics have the same MACs, ports 1,2,3,4 ideally on both servers, port 1 on server 1 exact the same like port 1 on server 2, and so on for all ports.
how this ever could happen !! my information that each unit should have its own mac address with zero chance of this kind of conflict.
has anyone face this kind of problem ? and how to solve this !

iLO4 / IPMI User Levels

-Create an ilo4 user named 'fenceuser' with only the permission for 'Virtual Power and Reset'. The iLO GUI told me that the IPMI/DCMI Privilege will be 'user'.
- trying to execute the default operation 'reboot' with this commandline and got an 'insufficient privilege' level

RedHat / KVM booting from internal SD Card
Hi all engineers and other crazy IT people!
We are currently developing some proyects with HPE Proliant DL380 G9 servers. We plan to use them as hypervisors. This is the question i couldt't find answer for myself: is it possible to install linux (Redhat, CentOs, Debian) in the internal SD Card and boot from it. We plan to use KVM as hypervisors.
So, what about Dual 8Gb microSD Enterprise Midline USB device? Is it compatible with other OS than ESXi? If yes, are the sdcards limited to 8 Gb of size?
What you recomend for this kind of configuration?

Connect to my server/dns problems
hi all
i got 2 probs atm
first i can connect to my ML350e Gen8 thru my lan but cant connect from the outside or my son cant connect to it from his house(he lives like 80miles away)
second
i installed dns on my win server 2012 but cant find my dns name and/or how to configure it correctly:(
can someone please ghive me a hand with these matters?
ps im not a IT pro i just wanted a server for home use

Drivers for B120i for RHEL 7.4
Hello. I want to install RHEL 7.4 on server with B120i raid controller (using raid configuration, not AHCI). I couldn't find image with drivers for RHEL 7.4, latest for RHEL 7.3. Should I want for new drivers or I can use old ones?

HPE DL380p Gen8 Graphics Cards options?
Hi folks,
I've looked at the quickspecs for DL380p Gen8 and other manuals, but can't find what third party graphics cards are supported. We are interested in getting a video card that we could use with VMware View and enable the sVGA (3D rendering) function. I see that Nvidia Grid K1, K2, Tesla M6, and other AMD firepro cards are supported from VMware compatibility matrix, but can not find if support with DL380p Gen8.
Anyone have a suggestion of where I would find this information?
