HP proliant DL380 G5 and SC11Xe SCSI (LSI 1020/1030) on Win XP 32bit drivers
Hi,
Recently, my problem was instaling drivers for HP SC11Xe, PCIe bus, SCSI U320 host adapter (LSI 1020/1030 based chip ) under Win XP on Proliant DL380 G5
Backuping some data on HP StorageWorks Ultrium 232 under W2K8 worked perfectly, but specific assessment was, will it work on WIn XP 32bit ? ... because, backup software licence was only for Win XP.
There is a catch 22, when instaling driver use "LSI Logic Ultra 320 SCSI Adapter Non-RAID, v.1.9.11.0, A00" from Dell website

Issues to install OS
All,
I had bougth my HP Proliant M310e Gen 8 V2 two years ago but due to curcumstancies I was not ablle to try to install the OS.
Now, I have the time but I'm out of warranty and my BIOS is old and not able to update because I'm aout of warranty.
Also F9 (HP Smart Storage manager) does not work, only when I boot from DVD with the latest manager on it I can start..
F10 does not work either,.
When I put the controller in AHCI mode during the install of Windows Server 2016 it does not see the 4 drives that I have in my system.
I also updated later the BIOS to use RAID and stated the Storage Manager from DVD and assign a array, also this array was not shown in the setup of Windows server 2016.
So, i have 3 issues:
1. F9 HP Smart Storage Manager does noet work (embedded, works from DVD)
2. F10 Intelligent Provisiong does not work.
3. Can install Windows Server 2016 (used also the HP Dynamic Smart Array Accelerator Manager and the HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i SATA Raid Controller. (both without success).
4. Can not upgrade BIOS and ILO to the latest release for this server board.
Please, can someone help me further???

207 error on DL580 after memory upgrade
Hi!
I recently bought 16 x 8gb pc3-8500 for a DL580 that uses four E7-4870

and on boot it says 207 - invalid memory configuration. I installed the dims on 1A and 8A for each memory cartridge. I tried shutting down and waiting for a few minutes but the error is still there.
Any idea why its giving me the error? are the dimm compatible with the server?

Removing Physical Disk from Logical Drive
Hi,
We have a HP ProLiant G380p Gen8 with a Smart Array P420i.
We have a RAID5 array with 4 physical disks setup as 1 logical drive.
I recently added a new disk, which is all working fine. However I need to remove this physical disk out of the logical drive as I want to do something else with it.
Can I remove the physical disk out of the logical drive and the array? I can see any option to do this.
I've been using the Smart Array Administrator GUI for this.

DL 380 Gen 8 fans making noise
I have a new gen 9 server that the fan are running at abnormal speeds intermittently.the speeds go up for about 10 minutes then backto normal what could be causing this?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to convert an ml350 gen9 rack server to tower? I can see the casing has feet holes on one side, but there appears to only be fittings for 2 feet not 4?....

Proliant SP, fieware Upgrade and Driver downloads for Proliant DL380 G5
Hello, I'm installing O.S. Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 on a Proliant DL380 G5 and I can not find the update packages and drivers for it on the HP Support page.
When contacting the support center I was informed that equipment out of warranty, the download is no longer available.
Does anyone have any other way I can get these packages?

p410 Raid 0 Boot Drive - SSA Was striping to 2nd drive which was stopped/deleted at 1% - Recovery?
Long story short I made a big mistake on my own server.
Boot drive was a single drive in RAID 0 on a p410 controller. I was adding a drive to mirror the boot drive, but I mistakenly added the new drive to the array and it automatically started the "transformation" process under ACU in Windows Server 2012 R2. When I realized it was not mirroring At 1% I told it to remove the new drive from the array. It removed it, windows crashed, and system inoperable / not booting.
Is their any possibility to recover from this? I do not have a backup any time recently at all of the boot drive. My mistake here. Any chance to get this back going? This just happened a few moments ago.
Suggestions? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Smart Array in HP Dl385 G7 failed

I have Server Hp Porliant Dl385 G7 Raid 5(4 HDD) configure on it , and Win2102 Server insalled on it. sudenlly server boot failure.
also there is no any led flasing before failure it seem everything green. after restart the server and login to Raid controller I saw the Raid failure.
how to get this server back with data please?

ML310 G8 v2, B120i RAID 10. Rebuild question.
Hi All
I have a customer with an ML310e G8 v2 server and B120i raid controller, which currently has a 4 disk RAID 10, using 10K SATA WD Velociraptors. One of the disks died, and was replaced under warranty by WD.
I have fitted the new disk in the empty drive bay, and started the server, but when I look at the diagnostics, it says pending rebuild. I have rebooted the server as recommended elsewhere, but this hasn't started the rebuild process.
From what I read, I need to manually start the rebuild when booting the server, by pressing F1.
My question is, whill the server continue to reboot normally, or will it be sat rebuilding, pre Windows for a week?
The customer has 1TB of data, and it lists a rebuild rate of 15 minutes per GB, so 1TB would take nearly a week to complete. Can someone confirm that once F1 is pressed, the server will continue to boot into Windows and continue rebuilding in the background?

i have HP proliant ML350 G6 server and all of a sudden two HD out of 3 show RED light and the 3rd is green
i dont have the application file backup and Data backup , i replaced the 2 HD and system started in safe Mood and now replaced 1st HD ,,it shows this message in the image, plse Help me
