Convert ML350 Gen9 SFF to LFF
Hi,
I have a ML350Gen9 SFF with 2.5" hard drives.
I want to know if it is possible with the following parts to convert 2.5" to 3.5" hard drives:
779083-001 : 8-bay hot-plug large form factor (LFF) backplane board - For either SAS or SATA hard drives - Mounts on the two bottom rows of the front hard drive cage

ProLiant DL380p Gen8 iLO broken after firmware upgrade
Upgraded three outdated ProLiant DL380p Gen8 servers this morning. Two were running 1.22 and the last 1.30.
After upgrading one of the 1.22 servers, the fans started running on 100% and when logging in to iLO, the password didn't work. I had to reset the password from the operating system.
Once logged in, both overview and system information looks wierd:
I've tried to reset to factory defaults but no dice.

Howto delete "Directory Groups " on ILOs via powershell

I have activated ldap authenification on 150 ILOs in our company in addition to the local "admin users". Ldap is activated by "Set-HPiLODirectory" and is ok.

After this I added a AD Group with the permissions we need: Login for AD Users within the AD group "CN=..." works.

Now I have the problem, that there are 2 Directory Groups (Administrators and Authenticated Users) I have to delete. The 2 groups are on all ILOs per default...
I cannot find a commandlet to list and delete the Directory Groups via powershell, and I will not login to all 150 ILOs and delete them manually :-(
So my question, is the a commandlet to do this or do you have a workaround to do this?

Proliant SE1220 got failed logical drive
Proliant SE1220 got error code 271, (Failed) Logical Drive 2 (9.1 TB, RAID 5) has failed and cannot be used. All data on this logical drive has been lost.
from ALC physical drive view, can only see drive#4 with predictive failure. All other drives are OK.
from insight diag, see 2 drives failed. drive#1 F154. Drive#4, F148+F153
Any chance to bring the logical drive back?

Notification SUM - Smart Update Manager
Hello I would like to know if there is a way to make HPE SUM send alerts to the administrator. The point that is what is the identifier of systems deactivated and the making of a notification.
If not possible by the HPE SUM, be possible with an integration with the HPE SIM? Or even a script creation? Thank you

ML350 G6 won't boot after installing second CPU
My ML350 G6 won't boot when I try to start it with 2 CPUs. I tried both CPUs and they both work when put into the first socket with the second slot empty, also tried resetting the NVRAM by flipping the DIP switch, trying to boot, and flipping it back and trying to boot. Both CPUs have the same SLBFD stepping code and are both X5520 CPUs. I got 4 of those blue fans installed and tested the memory when only one CPU was installed. I tried both filling up all white slots and also only the first white slot. I have upgraded to the latest BIOS version. I'm not sure which revision of the motherboard I have but that shouldn't really matter I think I have two 750W power supplies installed.
I should add that the two LEDs on the front panel are green, the LEDs on the two power supplies are green and there are no error LEDs showing on the system board.
I have double checked the pins in CPU socket 2, they look as good as new.

how to upload the Active Health System file.
I have a HP proLiant DL 380 G9 server.
The server is no more booting. when I press the power button, the power LED start in green and stop after about 2 seconds.
No way to test the mother board as per HP diadnostic guide, because the server cannot be powered on out of the rack.
I accessed iLo. I' ve downloded the Active Health System file. I need this file to be analised before to confirme that the Mther Board is faulty.
Now I need to know where to upload thi .ash file to HPE.

Problem rebooting ML350 G6 (SBS 2011)
Integrated Lights-Out 2 Standard
iLO 2 v2.08 Dec 09 2011 (IP unknown)
Slot 0 HP Smart Array P410i Controller (0MB, v5.14) 1 Logican Drive
Rebooting server leads to Non-System disk or disk error. This has occured ever since a bad drive was replaced.
System was restored from backup after changing raid 5 to raid 10
When I use control R it comes out with the following errors
1779-Slot 0 Drive Array - Replacement drives(s) detected OR priviously failed drive(s) now appear operational: Port 1I: Box 1: Bays 2,4 Logical drive(s) disabled due to possible data loss.
Selecting F2 gives next error
1716-Slot 0 Drive Array - Unrecoverable Media Errors Detected.... Errors will be fixed automatically when sector(s) are overwritten.
I find no problems after running HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition for Windows and the server runs normally. But after installing windows updates I have to restart the server and use control R or the system runs an endless loop without running the raid 10 setup. I've been running like this for a long time. Any help would be welcome.

Who do I talk to to get access to Service Packs/BIOS updates for DL 360e Gen8?
I bought a couple of DL360e Gen8 servers off-lease and need to update the BIOS. BIOS updates require some sort of support agreement/warranty. What is the cheapest option and who do I talk to (in Canada). Before someone says "talk to your reseller", the reseller does not do this kind of thing.

Dl580 G5 wont boot
so i have a DL580 G5 that was working fine. i moved it to my shop and now it wont boot. when i plug it into power i get an amber power button and a UID light. the power supplys dont light up either although the fans are spinning. so far ive tried reseating most of the connections and the main board itself, ive swapped the power supplys. I also took all the supplys out, put dip 6 in the on position to try and reset the NVRAM and the system still wont boot. ive tried plugging it in and leaving it for an hour before trying to power it on. please any advice or anything would be great..

Failed Drive Slot in DL380
Hi,
We have a Gen. 5 DL380 with four drives in RAID 5. One of the drives keeps failing. I've tried installing two different spares in that slot and they also failed. One of them started to rebuild but failed. The server currently doesn't detect the drive in that slot. Perhaps the slot itself is defective. Is there a way for me to tell the server to use a different slot instead? Since it's RAID 5, it won't tolerate another drive failure so I'm hoping there's a way to tell it to rebuild on a drive in a different slot and also keep our data. It has a Smart Array P400 controller. I installed the Smart Storage Administrator application inside RHEL, but I don't see such an option in that application

HP Proliant GEN8 can't bootup
Hi,
Yesterday my gen8 suddenly start flash red light,and then i got the error log form Integrated Management Log:

i have no idea what's the meaning,so i just reboot gen8, the screen shows ''Early Processor Initializaton'' and a progress of 40%, but stay at "memory and qpi link initlalization complete" for an eternity,it shows STATUS CODE : 0114.
is this of any help?
