Hi ,
How to fixed error?
Hi ,
How to fixed error?
Could you please let me know if dl360 G9 server with p440ar smart array support 2tb 4kn drives.
If no is there smart array that we can use instead that will support drives and allow us to create raid.
Problem Area: HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen9 Server
OS Revision: windows server 2016
Thanks
Hello Community
I support a ProLiant DL380 Gen with a p440ar Raid controller. I had a Raid 6 configured on it. Yesterday it failed. The logical Drive is in failed state. None of the harddrives have a problem. The cache seems to have an error. I am considering re-enabling the raid.
Should I re-enable it and hope for the best or is there something else I can do?
Hello all.,
I have worked on multiple gerenations of HP servers. When you choose Force System Reset on the iLo is there a possibility that it will wipe out the network settings? We are having some quirky issues with our older GEN7 (dl380) servers. We aren't an excitable 'upgrade firmware' environment. Our patching is done weekly. Has anyone had the networking/teaming dissapear on this gen of servers as we have?

Hi,
I am using DL360 with P440ar + HPE 1TB SAS HDD*2 (RAID 1)
But I am considering replacing it with SSD because of the speed of reaction.
The SSD will be HPE SATA 800GB
Is it worth changing?
And please recommend high performance RAID configuration using SSD.
Thank you
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to know, is there a method to push HPE BIOS settings to all servers across the enterprise ?
For example, like using Microsoft SCCM or any other configuration manager.
Thanks in advance
Hi all
Not sure if this is posted in the right forum, but here goes...
I need to enable VLAN and set a VLAN Id on a FlexLOM and CNA PCIe adapter with a script. I'm trying to PXE boot some servers (both BL and DL, Gen9 & Gen10) and the only way I have managed to make it work in my environment is by setting the VLAN Id on the Configuration of the FlexLOM/CNA adapter in BIOS.
The general VLAN config in BIOS does not work.
I do not have HP switches or Virtual Connect, we are all Cisco on networking and I don't want to mess with that. My servers are connected to a Trunk port and needs to get a DHCP address from a server on one of the VLANs.
We have OneView in place and are using server profiles for our servers but there is no where I can set this through a profile. I've also checked the HPE BIOS and iLO powershell cmdlets, but haven't found any help in those either.
Is there someone that have managed to configure a FlexLOM/CNA programatically?
Hi all,
I have a ProLiant ML110 G3 server. I want to upgrade her operation system. Which generation of Windows OS I can use in most advance?
Thank!
Alex
I am trying to test the latest patch 2.54 - CP034252.zip for our dl360Gen9's. However I cannot for the life of me get SUM to work with it - just complains that it is unsigned -- Any ideas?
Hello,
We own HP ProLiant ML350p Gen8 server, with 1 six drive LFF cage installed, and an integrated SmartArray P420i 1GB controller. We want to expand our storage, and add a 2nd LFF cage.
I read an documentation, and our integrated P420i controller will support 2nd cage of disks without any problems (but want to be 100% sure about this). Currently 1st cage uses both mini-SAS ports, but according to the manual, when 2nd cage will came - 1st cable will go to 1st cage, 2nd cable to 2nd cage, and one cable between both cages (creating a loop).
I also found, part list compatible with the server:
But I didn't found any information, what the "kit" contains (except cage of course)... mini-SAS cables? cage power cord?
this is what exatly my server do. won't boot, and shows amber light. pls view the link and see. https://youtu.be/MJtjgWjaDj8
I am unable to find these under the driver section for the ML330 G6. You have the drivers for Server 2012 but these will not work for Server 2016
Per this post by HPE on this vulnerability and updates:
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00039267en_us
For ProLiant Gen8 series servers, update to a System ROM version dated 12/12/2017
I have looked under downloads for several different Gen8 servers I have and there is nothing as recent as 12/12/2017 listed there. Anyone else see something different?
Am I missing something?
Thanks!
I installed windows server 2016 in hp proliant DL370 G6 server
But i don't have the drivers for:
Ethernet controller and base system device .. Can any one help me please?
here is the hardware ids for ethernet controller: pci\ven_4040&dev_0100&subsys_705a103c&rev_42
for base system device: pci ven_0e11&dev_b204&subsys_3305103c&rev_03
Hello.
I'm probably doing something wrong, but I've tried everything I can think of now. This is on Windows, by the way.
I've downloaded HPSUM 8.1
Added 2017.10.1 as a baseline
Added a directory containing all BIOS:es as "additional packages"
These "additional packages" does not work - all Windows files are OK, but all Linux RPM packages has error "Component not signed". Even a package that has a "compsig" file is marked this way, like firmware-system-u32-1.28_2017_12_11-1.1.x86_64.rpm.
Because of this (I assume), I cannot patch any nodes by booting the SPP - it will install the latest 2017.10.1 BIOS, not the more recent one. I've tried using HPSUM to patch ESX nodes, but since these zip files are also marked "not signed", it will only install the older BIOS. Only way to update is to upload the BIOS using the ILO.
Does anyone have an idea of how to add these BIOS:es to the SPP?

hello together,
we want to add these GPUs (one of them) into these servers (running esxi 6.0 U3)
I can see that there are drivers for esxi 6 and i read in an document https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04123180&doctype=quickspecs&doclang=EN_US&searchquery=&cc=id&lc=en
So - does this work fine or do i need other GPUs (Grid K1 or something similar)
thanks and regards
Hello,
I need to know when was the End of Life for Proliant bl20p g2 blade
BR,

I've got an ML310e G8 system that won't boot. The internal health LED is red, and the only system board LEDs that are indicating are undocumented ones: I can't find anything in the Server Maintenance and Service Guide that references these LEDs. My system board part number is. 671306-002
I get 14 times Red LED flashing then Green for few seconds and it repeats.
HP ML310e Gen8 E3-1220v2 SP7817GO EURO SN: CZ132801GM
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
So I recently purchased two ProLiant DL360 Gen9 servers for some internal projects we are working on here at MFHT.
Setup the first one no problems, works great, I'm a huge fan of iLO and everything the server has to offer. Now I got to setup the 2nd on (with the exact same configuration as the first except only 2 drives instead of 6) and the fans ramp up to 55+% and only go up, never drop! EVER?! The two server are in the same rank mount etc... one server seems to run normal the other has crazy fans that never turn down. Make no mistake the fans are LOUD like you walk into the building and you can her them.
I tried updating fw, and bios the latest versions, same result. I popped into the Health thing and did a read out (results are attached) I found that the Temps on device 24 (24-HD Controller) is silly high 55ish and devoice 26 as well (26-LOM) everything else runs around 25-30???
Temperature Device 24 - Temperature Sensing Device Reading 55 Deg.C Low Threshold 10 Deg.C High Threshold 100 Deg.C Sensor Number 26 Entity ID 11 Entity Name Add-in Card Entity Instance 4 Record ID 25 Temperature Sensor ID String 24-HD Controller
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Temperature Device 26 - Temperature Sensing Device Reading 54 Deg.C Low Threshold 10 Deg.C High Threshold 100 Deg.C Sensor Number 28 Entity ID 66 Entity Name Baseboard/Main System Board Entity Instance 2 Record ID 27 Temperature Sensor ID String 26-LOM
Everything else seems fairly normal? Is this a HW issue? Should I just send this entire thing back? Is there a fix I can do in house?
Thanks in advance.
