Hi, I need some help with my Proliant ML150 G6 server. Currently it only runs on 1 hdd (300GB). Can I install another hdd and configure as RAID 1 (mirror) with losing the existing hdd data? I can't find any info on this and the steps to configure that. Thanks

HP 360e Gen 8- Not booting. Fast blinking RED health light, slow blinking amber Interlock MSB light
So I've been trying to figure this out for a few hours and I'm coming up blank. My HP server is not booting. The health light on the front (# 3 in http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c03415162-9.pdf page 72).
Inside the motherboard, just north of #3 on the diagram on page 74, there's a grouping of LEDs I can only assume to be tied to the interlock message nearby.
The 8 LEDs have an indicator above (LSB) and below (MSB). I can only assume these to be most/least significant bit. (image attached)
When failing to boot, the light closest to MSB blinks about once every second and the health light blinks approx 4 times per second.
This all started after having to replace a cable. My drive cage was loose, so pulling out the server managed to separate the cables from the connectors (see image). With this cable in its current state the server was able to boot, but did not load anything from the drives for obvious reasons.
I opened the case, replaced the cable, closed it and ran into this issue.
At first I thought it was a PSU issue, took out the two PSUs and swapped with original from the reseller. no change.
disconnected the HDD power cable, no change
pulled out and re-seated PCI riser. no change.

I can't figure out what it's trying to tell me. Anyone have any ideas?

HP ProLiant ML350 G6 - Caution iLO 2 Power restored
Buongiorno,
nella nostra piccola farm abbiamo 2 Server HP ProLiant ML350 G6 su cui gira XenServer 7 in cluster.
Il primo server (cioè il principale per l'installazione di XenServer) questa settimana si è riavviato da solo 2 volte, ogni volta buttando giu le macchine virtuali associate a questo server e creando un disservizio.
Da i log che sono stati genarti su iLO 2 Event Log, leggo il seguente messaggio: "Caution iLO 2 Power restored".
Per quanto ne sappiamo non c'è stato alcun black-out di energia negli ultimi giorni,.
Al momento in sala server c'è una temperatura di 22° gradi centigradi.
Qualcuno di voi ha avuto esperienze simili, potreste consigliami cosa fare in questo caso ?

hp proliant dl380p gen8 - nvidia tesla m40 not working
I`m tring to install nvidia tesla m40 card into hp proliant dl380p gen8 p70 server. its not working,
found below error in DMESG log .

P420i RAID10 failed HDD, doesn't rebuild after HDD replace
Hello,
We have problem with Smart Array P420i on our ML350p Gen 8 server. One drive in RAID10 has failed (4x WD Purple 4TB), so we've replaced it with the same drive.
The problem is, that after HDD replace it still shows up as failed (Box 1: Bay6 is bad or missing), so we've tried another WD Purple 4TB (NEW!) drive, and the same.
HDD in Bay6 is visible as "Unassigned drive", I tried to configure it as a spare, but nothing works. I've also tried restartin server several times, but I've not received any info like "Press F1 to start rebuild".
I've upgraded P420i firmware from 2.14 to 8.00, but it still does nothing.

DL385 G7 Server Memory Configuration?
Hello,
I currently have three DL385 G7 Servers with 12-core AMD Opteron 6174 CPUs running with 128GB of RAM. I would like to upgrade them to 256GB of RAM.
Those servers have 24 DIMM Slots and currently 16 of them are occupied with 8GB DIMMs.
If I ask the HPE Memory Configurator Tool it says I could use this configuration:
Qty 16 of HPE Option Part # 604502-B21
HPE 8GB 2Rx4 PC3L-10600R-9 Kit
(HPE Module Part # 605313-171)
Qty 8 of HPE Option Part # 593915-B21
HPE 16GB 4Rx4 PC3-8500R-7 Kit
(HPE Module Part # 500207-171)
This looks kind of confusing to me because this configuration would be mixing Low Power DIMMs and Standard DIMMs - this cannot be a recommended config, I wonder if it would be working at all?
The Quickspecs for this server also lists these memory modules:
HPE Option Part # 627808-B21, HPE 16GB 2Rx4 PC3L-10600R-9 Kit (HPE Module Part # 628974-181)
Can those not be combined with the HPE 8GB 2Rx4 PC3L-10600R-9 Kits ? Are Quadrank DIMMs mandatory here and if so, why does HP not provide HPE 16GB 4Rx4 PC3L-10600R-9 Kits?
Second question I have on this: I don't know if the DIMMs that are currently used in my servers are Standard or Low Power DIMMs - how can I find out while the machine is up and running?

I am attempting to get a customer off of a server. They don't want to because the server has had a stellar performance of litterlaly no issues. Can someone point me to an HP documnet that states the EOSL of the ML 370 G5?

System ROM via iLO 4 upload.
Hi,
We have been happy to work with the server for a long time. But as a result of the fan failure that I experienced yesterday. The system became impractical as a result of a few operations.
I will share the latest status of the server and look forward to your suggestion.
I can not access the system except for iLO 4. only green blinks on the power button.
In the meantime I saw that there was no Syetem and backup ROM on the system. Can I install System ROM with iLO 4? What should I upload attention to when loading?

CPU Heat Problem on an hp dl380p
Hello
here i have a problem that i dont understand.
Its a hp dl380p Server with Dual Xeon CPU E5-2690
On a Running Win 2012R2 in Idle State and no CPU usage at all 0,5-1% for Hours CPU1 is on 45-50Degree Celsius and Fanspeed of the Fans of the right side is about 30% CPU2 Gets very hot 75-80Degree and its Fans the 2 on the left side only run at 6%
When i run some stresstest Tools on this server Both CPU´s getting hot and all FANS run about 90% then both cpu´s seem to be run in "NORMA CONDITON" under full speed
But on Idle Mode or at Midrange Operation ie.10% allways CPU1 run very hot and CPU2 allways stay cool.
For me it seems that the FAN Speed controll is overcrosed (cpu1/cpu2) but this is not possible because Fans are diretly connected tot the Mainboard.
All Fans are working and i can see the FAN Spped in ILO
Does anyone have have a idea what wrong here ?

DL 180 G6 iLO bypass login
Hello, I have old DL 180 G6 server with a broken motherboard (not responding, iLO not working, etc.). I´ve bought a used motherboard for this server and assembled it into the case. Unfortunately, the server is not booting, it starts the fans, and after a while, the red health LED starts blinking. But, iLO on the new motherboard is working, it gets an IP address from a DHCP and I can browse the iLO login page. But, I can´t log in, because obviously, I don´t know the Administrator password for this motherboard. I´ve found on the internet, that there is a possibility to change pin configuration, so I will be able to log in to iLO without a password, but I can´t find out which pin should I activate on DL 180 G6. Can anybody help me with this issue? I hope, that iLO logs will tell me more, why my server is not booting.

Server Issue
In my corp. we have 5 ProLiant DL380Gen9 servers. which has 4 LEDs on the front side. I knew that the LEDs are
Power LED, Health LED, NIC status LED, and, UID LED. the second LED, which is the Health LED, in contrast to the rest 4 servers, flashes with Amber. in hp website, health LED flashing amber means System Degraded. what is the issue and what is the solution for it to light green like the other ones

Скажите, если я перезагружу сервер, он запустится? Или контроллер не даст этого сделать?

server not booting into bios

Model: HP ProLiant ML350e gen8 server
Operating System: Windows 2008 R2
Last activity: Updated the BIOS firmware online using an installer package from HPE
Present condition: Server starts up as usual, Both power and health LED green, But after some time the health Led Blinks red.
I tried resetting BIOS settings using system maintenance switch. the same.
Then I set the system maintenance switch to access redundant BIOS. It's still the same
Then I set all the system maintenance switch to default. still the same!!
Please give me a solution

HP system management homepage IE11 "this page can't be displayed" on https://localhost:2381/
I have inherited (through a company acquisition) some older HP hardware (HP DL380p Gen8 E5-2620) running mission-critical business applications on Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft patches up-to-date. I can't open the HP System Management Homepage on this server because I suspect the version (7.1.2) is trying to negotiate an SSL handshake with the Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) browser and can't talk SHA2. Just a guess. How do I confirm this and where can I find support and instructions for downloading a current version of SMH for this hardware?
I also will need install instructions for SMH and need to know if installation requires a restart.
The specific error from IE11 https://localhost:2381/ is:

HPE Memory Configurator DDR3 not working
Today I wanted to use the HPE Memory configurator tool, but it seems to be not available at the moment. If I choose "DDR3 memory" I am redirected to the startpage - DDR4 memory is working.
I do use this tool quite often - maybe there is also an offline version available?

ProLiant DL580 Gen9 Power Issues
Hi,
We have one of these servers and it randomly reboots itself.
Windows is configured to take a mini dump if it BSOD, which it doesn't and in the event log it reports a unexpected shutdown - so we don't believe this to be a OS issue.
It has reported this, once when rebooting previously.
System Power Fault Detected (XR: 20 00 MID: FF 0D F0 00 00 00 10 0D 0D 04 04 0D 0D 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)
It has had a new board, and we have updated the BIOS to v2.50
Any thoughts - it runs a 24/7 ERP system so causes some problems :)
