ML310 G4 64B raid GUI for win10
Hi,
I'm lookig after a ML310 G4 supporting a bespoke Borland database, (Yes I know is rather legacy).
1 drive failed in the mirrored raid and Ive replaced it, but need to rebuild the mirror. I've tried the normal method of rebuilding the array using controller interface, but it will only rebuild to a new array therefore wiping all my data etc.
Does anybody know which GUI program works to enable me to rebuild the mirror on the fly???? all the ones i've tried on the G4 and G5 driver/software pages dont connect to controller. (I believe the G4 and G5 drivers to being the same)

DL360 Gen7 ILO3 unable to load resource
Hi all,
im having a strange issue and im not sure if im doing something wrong or something else is wrong?
i can use the .net console for ILO 3 without any issue, but i cant use the java applet on any windows,linux,mac and any browser?
i keep getting this weird error

DL180 G6 Meltdown and Spectre Bios Update
According to the Meltdown/Spectre Customer Bulletin, it sounds as if all of the G6 bios have been posted, but I'm not finding the BIOS for the DL180 G6 either on that page or on the DL180 G6 support page. The E5606 processor for our specific server is listed under the Intel Microcode Update Guidance documentation as in "Production."
Refer to the following table for a list of System ROM revisions that include updated microcodes For Gen10, Gen9, Gen8, G7 and G6 platforms.
Question: For HPE ProLiant and Synergy platforms, does HPE intend to release System ROM updates including mitigations for Spectre Variant 2 for server generations earlier than G6?
Answer: HPE will release System ROM updates for ProLiant and Synergy platforms for which processor vendors make microcode updates available to mitigate Spectre Variant 2. Intel has released microcodes with mitigations for G6 and newer servers, and HPE has made System ROM updates available for all G6 and newer platformsusing the ProLiant System BIOS. Intel currently does not plan to release additional microcode updates for older processors. Information on Intel’s release plans for microcodes related to Spectre Variant 2 can be found in Intel’s Microcode Revision Guidance

I know with the new Variant 3a and 4, this BIOS release may get pushed back. Is there an ETA for the BIOS update for the Meltdown/Spectre security issue? Please confirm if there will be an updated BIOS for the DL180 G6 server. Thanks.

DL380 G7 No USB ?!?
This is driving me nuts!
I have a ProLiant DL380 Gen 7. The RAID shows that the drives have been moved. I tried to access iLo but my browser is complaining about SSL issues with the iLo 3 page. So I went to update the firmware on the server / iLo. I started noticing occasionally odd behavior from my keyboard and eventually had to resort to using a PS/2 keyboard which works. However, nothing I do seems to get thru using USB! I've tried using all of the external USB ports. Keyboards (I've tried two), mice, USB drives.... I reset the BIOS to defaults, I verified that USB is Enabled, I pulled the system battery, I tried the internal USB port, and even reset the NMI. I seem to have NO USB at all! CD ROM works, PS/2 works, I can load and work with software from CD.... but nothing from USB.

SSD hard drives
I have a HP ProLiant ML350e with 4 hard drives in P420 storage controller. I bought two Intel SSD hard drives and they weren´t recognized by the storagge controller. I disconected the cdr-rom and plugged the disk, and it was not recognized either. I tested the disks on other servers and they are working fine.
Is there any compatibility issue ? What are the SSD hard drives I can safely acquire for this sever/storage controller ?

Intelligent Provisioning Unable to Boot
Hi,
we just got a new ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Server and are trying to install Windows Server 2016 Datacenter on it. Windows Setup is unable to detect any Harddrives to install the system on.
We tried to use the Intelligent Provisioning System but that throws an Windows Boot Manager Error "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed." 0xc0000001
We tried to restore the Intelligent Provisioning System with the recovery files: IP310.2018_0220.189.iso and IP300.2017_0606.382.iso but the error still persists.

maximum disks in RAID 60

What is the maximum number of disks in a parity group (RAID-60) and are there specific combinations supported only - or would fx. 15+2 be supported in a parity group?
Server is DL360 gen10 with HPE Smart Array P408e-p connected to a HPE D6020 enclosure

Who's testing HPEiLOCmdlets 2.0.0.0 before release

Sorry for the sarcastic title ... but I have really the impression that nobody tested this module at HPE before releasing it.
We are trying to use this module to configure the iLO of our DL 380 Gen 9, and here are some findings :
Start-HPEiLOCertificateSigningRequest
‘-IncludeiLOIP' parameter gives errors if you specify it, no matter what syntax.
does not use the value of ‘-City', regardless of how you specify it. Should place it into '<CSR_Locality>' inside the XML it sends, but there's no such field in the raw request being sent.
Get-HPEiLOCertificateSigningRequest
resubmits new CSR generation with default parameters. It does not simply retrieve the previously generated CSR (with parameters specified by 'Start-HPEiLOCertificateSigningRequest').
You *can* however see the correct CSR if you retry 'Start-HPEiLOCertificateSigningRequest' with '-OutputType RawResponse'.
Set-HPEiLOSNTPSetting
‘-SNTPServer’ parameter does not work as advertise in the example when it’s a table @(“1.1.1.1”,”2.2.2.2”) WARNING: Number of parameter values greater than number of targets. Ignoring extra parameter values.
The XML it sends only as <SNTP_SERVER1> it should normal process the table and send also <SNTP_SERVER2>
Set-HPEiLOIPv4NetworkingSetting
Again the -DNSServer and -DNSType when these are table are not treated as by the example … didn’t find a way to set multiple value
and I stopped the testing / debugging there.
Am I the only one ? Is somebody able to help ?

(Cache : 12 MB L2 // 1333 MHz FSB) , ma question est : quel est la manipulation a faire pour pouvoir integre les 2 cpu dans le server ? car quand je les mets physiquement le server ne demarre pas donc je me demande quel manipulation et a faire pour que cela fonctionne

Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception
Running a DL360G9 and I get the following error code in IML:

This happens if the machine tries to boot from any source (USB drive, PXE, hard drive) in Legacy mode and reboots straight afterwards (So it's a continues bootloop).
If I reset the BIOS and the standard settings with UEFI boot are restored the UEFI boot works without the errors.If I switch back to Legacy, I get the error messages.
I have several other servers with identical setup which run without problem.
Can I assume it really is a bad CPU and should I open a RMA case with HPE?

DL/ML 350 G5 to support 6 TB drives?
The built-in 200i controller with latest fw (1.86) will NOT support the LFF 6 TB drives. Can I use a card based or plugin compatible later controller and will it work with the builtin 6 drive cage (which as far as I can tell has the path broken out in 2 data cables servicing 3 bays each).

iLO 5 LDAP add DirectoryGroup with Powershell/Redfish

With iLO5 some new privileges for DirectoryGroups. I know from the this disscusion (https://community.hpe.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/iLO-5-LDAP-group-permissions-using-PowerShell/td-p/6994601), that the ilo Powershell Modul 2.0 can't add Directory Groups with all permissions. But is there any way, to do that over the Redfish interface? I looked for it on diffrent sites and could't find anything.
This is my first pose so sorry if i did somthing wrong :).

Issue with ILO Self-Test error only when quad rank memories installed

I have got an issue everytime when I populate HP 380g8 with quad rank memories always ILO kick off self-error test. Is there any connection between memory rank and ILO ?

Smart Array Cache
Looking for some advice. I have a very old HP/Lefthand storage node based on a DL320s G1. We had to power it off to move it and when I came back up, the cache accellerator was disabled due to a read cache error. And the Cache battery was dead. I bought replacment battery and now the battery looks OK but I was still getting a cache read error, cache accellerator disabled. I bought a refurbished 512MB cache module and replaced the one that was in it. I still get ' POST Error: 1797-Drive Array - Array Accelerator Read Error Occurred' and the Array Accelerator is disabled.
This is a p400 controller.
I'm not sure if I just purchased defective hardware, or if it is the p400 board itself or a non hardware issue. I don't want to keep blindly replacing stuff. I did see an HP Advisory from 2011 saying if this occured on a controller running old firmware, you need to disable the cache and reenable it to clear the condition. The firmware I'm running is newer and I don't even see the the cache option on the menu that was mentioned in the Advisory with this version of firmware.
I also ran the diagnosics from the SPP DVD and it shows that the p400 is reporting an unknown cache read error and that the cache accellorator is permanently disabled.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Power supply required for HP Proliant ML150 Gen9 to support nVidia Titan Xp card
We have an HP Proliant ML 150 Gen9 system. We would like to put an nVidia Titan Xp graphics card into the system. However, this card requires an 8-pin and a 6-pin connection. The power cables we have that came with the power supply (which is only 550W, not the 600 W recommended for the graphics card) don't seem to be able to support this. We might be able to get converter cables to allow an 8-pin connection, but there would then be nothing left for the 6-pin connection. What power supply can we purchase for this system that would allow us to put this Titan Xp card into it and get it powered? Thanks.

I have checked no USB attached to the server. Changed boot order in Bios to boot from Hard Disk first. No luck

SSA RAID50
Hi,
is it possible to create a RAID50 array with 7, 11 or 13 hard drives?
SSA won't allow selection of RAID50, only RAID 0,5 and6.
Raid50 works with 6 or 10 hard drives.
