ProLiant DL360 Gen9: Can't turn on Power

I can't turn on my ProLian DL360 Gen9 server. The power LED is solid amber and the health LED is blinking red. On iLO System Information, it is written that the status of "BIOS/Hardware Health" is "failed", but I can't find significant information from Integrated Management Log. I have tried to swap the 2 power supply but it doesn't help. I have tried to clear the NVRAM by turning DIP switch #6 on and then off on System Maintenance Switch, but the power LED is still solid amber.

Any suggestion on this will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Proliant dl160 gen 5 установка ОС

Добрый день. Проблема такого характера. Не могу установить ОС Win server 2008x64 на dl160 gen 5. Интеграция в образ ОС драйверов не помогает. Соответсвенно, ни с диска, ни с флешки устновить ос не  могу.

HPE DL320e Gen8 server Win2016 and intelligent provisioning install fails

Trying to install Win2016 server and intelligent provisioning fails - I get the impression that it is trying to call home to get updates but the URL it is contacting is no longer valid.

If I try to install directly from a USB drive, it tells me that it can't install on any of the available partitions.

I've run out of things to try and patience!

SAS vs SATA DL385 G6

Hello,

We have a DL385 G6 that has two arrays on P410 controller, one with 2 SFF SATA 300 GB disks, and the other array with 3 SFF 1TB SATA disks. Those disks are 7.2K rpm

We'd like to improve performance, and plan to replace the second array with 3 SAS 1Tb SFF 10K rpm. Does anybody know if it's possible without changing anything else?

Note that the old ones are SATA and would like to use SAS, the quickspecs says it supports bot kind of disks.

iLO Amplifier - online update problem

Hello all,

I have decidet to try iLO Amp pack, for our company's servers, and i got some error while trying to conduct online interactive/automatic update (picture). 

Server: ProLiant DL380 Gen9

iLO 4: 2.60

OS: Windows server 2012 R2 standard (with no updates installed, clean installation)

SUT 2.2.0 installed, set mode autodeploy

AMS installed (latest)

Do you have any suggestions?

ML110 G9 NIC compatibility

Hello,

I am thinking about sparking life back into my old ml110 g9.

I stopped using it after I had some unfortunate compatibility issues with HBAs.
They are all working but since unsupported (as described in manual) they spin the fans up to 40% which was not an option.

I’m not interested in understand if this would be the same situation with network cards. I’m especially interested in a 10GB card for the ML110. Since it’s an “older” model, only SPF+ cards are offered from HPE.
I wouldnmy rather keep it as a RJ45 and most certainly lower the cost.

There are no mentions of network card compatibility/support in the ml110 g9 manual.

Any information is appreciated!

ML30 Gen9 - Power Supply

Hello,

 

is it possible to change the Power Supply in the ML30 Gen9 Base Model from One 350W Non-Redundant to Two 460W Redundant Power Supplies later? I think there is a Upgrade Part for that, right? 

 

Also is it possible to change later from 4 LFF non-Hot Plug to Hot Plug or even 8 SFF Hot-Plug?

what is the best RAID-Controller for the ML10 Gen9 except the H241 Host Bus Adapter (no Ports Onboard)?

Are other Brands like Adaptec or Intel a Alternative? Do HPE Raid Controllers even if not official supported work with the Server?

Cannot Install AHS Log Download CLI for Windows - "CHIF driver must be installed"

I am trying to install the latest Active Health System Log Download CLI for Windows but upon launching the MSI i get the error "The iLO Channel Interface (CHIF)" driver must be installed before installing this package.

The driver was actually installed on version 3.30 as part of the "ILO 3/4 Management Controller Driver", after getting the error I dowloaded and installed the latest v4 but it didnt change the error above.

Is this thing simply not working?

I am trying to use the HPE PS Module to request and install a certificate on a newly provisioned DL380 G10 server but I am getting the error below.

I know that the problem is not the code or the cert because I imported the same cert manually through the ILO GUI and worked:

Raid 1 on dl 580 G10 to installing OS

hello ;

We have some DL 580 G10 , I RAID 1 (bay 1 & bay 2) , all server have same RAID configuration .

Perviously I use one of HDD which OS Installed and boot with single HDD in new server , when server was in bootup process I use F2 for interim recovery and boot in to OS . then use another Hard drive ( in which bay that was empty) and server automatically sync data from impelemented drive to second drive.

that was ok in G8 serise , but in G10 I cant boot into OS by one(single from nistalled OS ) hard drive , and this hard drive LEDs turn off .

could you please help me to install my OS in this way ?

DL360 gen10 and controller boot order

Hello!

I run DL360 Gen 10 server with Smart Array E208i-a, which I use as boot device,

I use legacy boot mode.

Now I need to add external jbod to it, so I bought P408E-P.

I can install it, it can create array on external jbod, problem is in boot- in boot menu I can see only 408E, as you can see on picture, so server tries to boot from it, not from 208, and, obviously, fail.

I can see both devices in boot menu if I remove/install 408E , i.e. if it is new hardware for system and there is no jbod connected to it.

As you can see both controllers are installed.

 

I just installed latest SPP, but no luck.

 

Could you tell me can I boot system from 208 while both 208 and 408 are installed?

BMC on ProLiant ML110 G6

Hello folks, I appreciate this box is a little old now but I have a questioin about the Lights-Out 100 BMC installed on it.  My experience with other servers is the ilo/management GUI usually includes a 'virtual console' so you're able to view the screen output from boot (ok non licensed versions will time out out once the o/s loads) but you can usually view and manage the boot up/bios/screen messages,  the version running on this box just doesn't have the option.

It's a useful feature and I don't want to be spending £££s on a seperate IP KVM box if possible, so the burning question is... is there a way to enable the virtual console option in this version somehow?

DL380p G8 P420i - Hard Drive Limitations (10TB HGST drives not working)

I've been doing a fair bit of reading on the matter but have hit a few road blocks on the way.  To summarize what I'm working with:

*Out of warranty DL380p G8 LFF (12 Bay) with P420i 512mb cache.

*6 x 3TB HGST Raid 5 Array - Has been working for 2 years now without a hitch.

*VMWare Vsphere 6.5.

*Updated P420i firmware to newest 8.32.

*iLO4 updated to 2.61.

My raid firmware was quite out of date until this recent update but with the old 3.x P420i firmware my new 4 x 10TB HGST drives were detecting correctly in the BIOS and also via iLO4, System Inventory, Storage showing the proper size, type, and were authenticating.

Currently when plugged in the eject symbol (LED 3 on the diagram) on the caddy blinks once white and then turns off.  So it receives power but that's about it.

I've been reading that 8.32 has been causing issues identifying drives and that 7.02 may be a better route.  Downgrading would be my next  plan of action to see if I can get these to work.  Any input would appreciated.

Memory configuration error on DL580 G7

Just installed memory cartridge with 4 DIMMS.  I installed the DIMMS as recommended (1A and 8A, 2C and 7C) so on.  When I boot up I don't see any display.  My ilo shows "Maintenance note: Memory Configuration Error: System boot halted.".  unfortunately the support expired a while ago.  any help is appreciated.

Issues with ILO4 connectivity with THinPro OS

Hi Guys,

We have purchased a few servers  with Thion Clients.

Servers = DL 360 Gen 10

OS - Win SVR 2012

Thin Client = t630

OS = Thinpro OS

Our requirement is to connect the server using the ILO4 managment port through LAN to the Thin Cient and get complete access of the server remotely.

We are able to get the access to the server though LAN ,however through the ILO4  we are able to get the control of the server, however the GUI window of the server with .net remoyte console does not initiate.

 

Please note that we are trying this through Thinclient T630 which has Firefox preloaded.

 

any suggestions?

Hi all,

I really need your help . My server is HP proliant DL380 G10. 

I configured raid 5 with 1 hot spare in intelligent provisioning Tab successfully.

The problem is when I installed windowe server 2016 Standard by USB boot, SAS HDDs are not detected.

Can I have your opinions to solve this problems.
