I'm going to buy a ml30 gen10 server and I want to put 2 ssd (raid 1) for the OS and 3 LFF disks for data. Is this possible to do? You have to buy something independent of the server to be able to connect them?

ML350P GEN8 has MARCONET management software that will not go away
Have a ML350P server that we are seting up that have marconet software that will not go away. Erased hard drives, loaded new OS. This IT mangementsoftware comes back to life. Want to get the server back to factory setting for it to be used in it's next life.

Installing Debian 9 on DL20 GEN10
Hi. I am trying to install either Debian 9 or Ubuntu 18.04 on a new HP DL20 GEN10. I setup the two hard drives in RAID1 in the configuration panel but when I go through the Debian/Ubuntu Installers it shows me both the individual hard drives, not the RAID Volumes.

iLO Amplifier - Online Express Interractive Update Error
Hello all,
I am testing iLO Amplifier pack to update our servers, and I got some error while trying to update servers using Online Express Interactive Update.
After selecting a valid baseline and a server in the wizard and clicking on the Begin Task button, the following error message appears on a red banner:
"Indicates that a property was given the correct value type but the value of that property was not supported. This includes value size/length exceeded.
Correct the value for the property in the request body and resubmit the request if the operation failed."

Windows server 2016 on ProLiant DL380p Gen8

I am trying to install Windows server 2016 Datacenter on HP Proliand DL380 G8, but I'm able to install Windows 2012 only. Firmware, Intelligent Provisionning is up to date. What should I update for W2016 please ?

Proliant DL380 G5, PCIe Sata Card
Hi there,
I was wondering if i could buy a generic PCI-express Sata CARD (simple card with 2 Sata ports, no raid or anything) and stick it in the proliant PCI slot in the riser. WIll it be recognized by windows? Any generic consumer type PCIe Sata card will work or does it have to be server type?
I'm just Looking to add a 8TB HDD Sata in this server,as i'musingit for 4K Movies storage.

ML150 G5 Motherboard red light
Hi,
I have ML150 G5 server, and after few hours of working it blocks. Power led is green and steady.
There is red led - undocumented - on the motherboard, under CPU. Server cannot be turned on until power cable is unplugged and power is pressed for few seconds to empty condensators. After that it boots normaly.
Any advice?

1611 Fan Failure for HP ProLiant DL320eGen8
Over the weekend my colleague and I returned to the office to find our HP ProLiant server stuck in a boot sequence and failing to initialize because of a 1611-Fan 2 Failure. We undid the chasis and inspected each fan and see no notable problems. If you let the server sit for a while it will boot without issue to Windows Server 2012 R2. After about 60 seconds though you'll hear the fans rev up to max speed and become loud in volume. Windows will report that a Shutdown is requested by the ILO. Startup will continue to cycle with message about a 1611- Fan 2 failure.
Unfortunately I am not familiar with this equipment as the previous admin left. BIOS shows no areas for me to conduct hardware diagnostics. Windows Event Logs show no helpful error messages. The server warranty expired in 2017 giving me no option to consider firmware or alternative BIOS updates. What's the best way for me to confirm the 2nd fan is the issue and how can I best conduct further diagnostics?

Dl380 Gen10 F10 not working
Folks,
I was installing 6 new DL380 Gen10 Proliants Friday and happen to notice that Intelligent Provisioning will not work in a single one of the 6 Servers. F9 prompt works ok but F10 promt does absolutly nothing, I checked to make sure that IP was enabled but didnt know what else to check. The servers appear to be posting OK but Intelligent Provisioning just will not launch. Any ideas as to what to check welcomed....

Is there no way to use any standard SATA optical drives in this server? You're limited to the slim-cd optical drive of HP? Or is there a cable that i'm unable to find in the parts list?

SmartArray P420i - HP DL360p Gen8 E5-2630v2 Base US
Hello,
I need help urgently, we have an HP Proliant DL360p, in the HPE Intelligent Provisioning it appears that it does not recognize the SmartArray P420i Controller, this happened after a maintenance, the computer started without problems and after a few minutes the server started generating a loud noise, the same noise from the accelerated fans. Entering the Vsphere Client (they are virtualized servers in Vmware) it appears the indication that the volumes are not found, we restart the server and when trying to boot the error appears: Non-System-disk-or-disk-error-replace and strike any key .

DL360 G7 - CPU Upgrading
Hello,
I just bought DL360 G7. it use 1x E5620.
I plan to upgrade to x5670 and install 1 CPU as additional.
I have some question, please help me to find the answer.
1. Can i install new X5670 with old spare parts? like heatsink etc.
2. Whatever is spare parts needed to add 1 additional CPU? is it only "507672-001", "468290-001" and X5670 ?
If you have suggestion which i must know, please don' hesitate to tell me.

Smart Array P840 Error reported in ILO, but fine otherwise
I have an odd situation.
The ILO management page for my ML110 Gen 9 server is telling me that the P840 card has a problem, it lists "Controller Status: ERROR". I have receieved some intermittent SNMP 11020 traps messages, the source is "Foundation Agents", the description is "A 'Host Health status change' trap indicates that health status has changed." and under details it states "Change in health status 'FAILED'". Just before reciving these SNMP mesaages I get an additional SNMP message that is identical, but under details it states "Change in health status 'UNKNOWN".
The server status light is still green, indicting nothing is wrong with the server hardware. The HP smart sotrage administrator lists no issues and I can see all of the card infomration and arrays. All drives an arrays are working as expected. I performed a reboot to see if anything came up during POST and all messages came up clean.
Any idea what is going on?

Base system device driver isn't installed & found with Windows Update.

DL120 G7 KVM on iLO3 is not avaliable remotely
I have some problems with accesing to KVM interface on iLO3 remotely (from outer subnet) by Java and Framework as well. On local computer it works perfectly. I already have made port forwarding on 443, 17990, 17988 ports but it didn't help.
Did anybody face with this type of problem?

ProLiant ML310e Gen8 V2 Hard Drive Compatibility
I have recently purchased a used ProLiant ML310e for my home network and it currently houses 2xHP 1TB drives but it can hold 4. I have heard that certain servers will only accept/recognise hard drives from the same manufacturer and you cannot use other drives.
Is there a compatability list of what hard drives are supported by the ML310e? ie am I able to put a WD Red 2TB SATA HDD into this?
If I can only use the same HP HDD's that are currently in there, can I purchase these new anywhere? I have searched using the part numbers and I only seem to find used ones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
