ProLiant DL380 G7 HDD Power Supply Status: Not Redundant
Hi, I have ProLiant DL380 G7 with RAID 1 configuration. One of the HDD's (in Bay 2) has "Power Supply Status: Not Redundant" issue. Is this a power supply or a hard drive issue? Is replacing the hard drive will fixed this? Can I just grab a had drive with the same type from other server as a replacement or it needs to be a new hard drive? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

ML310e Gen8 Smart Array P410 no SATA drive LED's
Hello,
I just purchased a "refurbished" ML310e Gen8 with a P410 array. Raid array is 4 4TB SATA drives in a Raid 5 configuration.
I have tested all the hardware and updated to the latest firmware. Installed Server 2012 R2 and all HP drivers from the HPE SPP 8.1.
My issue is, I have no status LED's on the drives in the array. The LED's all flash during power up and then stay dark. All diagnotics show the array and the controller are working. Server boots normally.
Any ideas?

HP Gen9 RAID 6 to RAID 5 Migration
Hi Experts
I have a HP Gen 9 server ( Live server of the client and not the test system ) .. accidently one of the logical group in that server was setup in RAID 6 and we wanted it to be in RAID 5. Please suggest a way to migrate from RAID 6 to RAID 5 without losing a single data. Server is having P440 Array Controller.

DL380p No physical disks attached...
HP DL380p Gen 8:
After the Proliant service pack "P03093_001_spp-Gen8.1-SPPGen81.4" has been successfully installed, one of our servers does not start anymore.
There is a message that no disks are installed. See screenshot.
I can start the HP Provioning, but the SSA indicates that no disks have been installed. There is no Smart Array Controller.
Any idea?

DL380s Gen10 - Mass iLO and BIOS config
Hi, I've managed to make use of the ilorest and HPEiLOCmdlets to do some automation (updating firmware/ilo for instance) and the powershell scripts for getting server information. I was wondering if there's any way to download the iLO and BIOS configuration from one server and apply it to another? Recently received a new batch of servers and would really like to automate those BIOS settings. I haven't been able to find commands to do this, so if someone can point me in the right direction or have any ideas I'd appreciate it.

ML350p Gen8 - Sata motherboard connector speeds
Hello everyone,
There are 3 sata connectors on the server motherboard (one used by optical drive). Can someone tell me if they are Sata II or Sata III???
I was disappointed to learn the p420i runs at Sata II with Sata drives attached instead of SAS.

migrating a RAID set
I have a DL380 12LF GEN 9 HP840ar Win 2008R2 with 2 x 1TB drives in RAID O volume for the system drive and 7 x 8TB drives (6+1) RAID 5 data volume.
I would like to physicall move the RAID 5 7 x 8TB drives into a new DL380 GEN9 with a P841 / D3600 expander box without corrupting the data or rebuilding the RAID set.

Proliant ML350 G9 Temperature sensor 40 location
Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help?
A customer has an ML350 G9 which is less than 2 weeks out of warranty (typical). It reboots seconds after powering on and iLO recrods a critical temperature alert at sensor 40, location I/O board, with temperatures around 90 degrees C.
This server had sat unused for a few months, then moved carefully to another building and developed this fault as soon as it was powered up. The fans appear to be working normal, but I'm told one of the 4 SAS drives, once removed, now won't go back in any slot, even the one it came out of.
As far as I'm aware, it has no PCI add in cards and has a RAID controller. Being out of warranty, I'd like to nrrow down, system board, drive cage board or RAID controller, before stabbing in the dark.

Change 6gb speed 1TB hot swap SAS drives for 12gb speed drives on the fly?
I want to try and improve the disk access speed of our HP DL380 G9 server. We have a RAID-5 array (Smart Array P440ar) with 4 x 1TB drives (giving 3TB total). So that I don't have to take our main production server down, I wanted to replace a 6gb speed drive with a 12gb one, let the array rebuild, then do the same for one of the other 4 drives, let it rebuild, and so on and so forth until all 4 are changed and rebuilt. Is this possible, I'm assuming whilst the 6gb's are mixed with the 12gb's, the array will only work at 6gb, however as soon as all four are changed, the array will start working at 12gb. Correct?

HP proliant DL360G7 HP server source failure
I have an HP proliant DL360G7 server, with a power source, this works without problems but when an electrical failure occurs, my ups come into operation but the server turns off immediately and two LEDs are flashing: the one with the sign as a current wave in red and that of the ignition button in amber, on the back there is no LED on.
Please if someone can tell me what may be happening or where they can verify what those LEDs mean
