Hi, add 3 1TB disks to the cage configured for RAID 5 all good.
However, HPE Windows Server 2019 Essentials does not recongise the disks, therefore, can't complete the install.
I have tried a number of drivers for the Storage controller but no luck.
The controller is the standard nothing special, thoughts on which drivers to use.
Thanks

I have an HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server. approximately a month ago, this server is starting to shut down multiple times. this happened 4 or 5 times during the month. the Health LED is flashing amber every time it restarts. According to HPE, Health LED flashing amber means "System Degraded", I don't know what that means. what is the issue, and what should I do.
Good day,
Please I have a newly bought server HPE Proliant ML110 Gen10 (P03685-425).
Kindly recommend a suitable SATA cable that I can use to connect my SATA hard drive to this server.
Thank you.
Does anyone knows where it is possible to find the iLO Amplifier Pack upgrade .bin file to upgrade an appliance from version 1.40 to 1.50 ?
Somehow i can't seem to find anything else besides the full appliance .ova
Thanks.
Hi,
I purchased HP proliant DL380 Gen10 am unable to install windows server 2016 due to the fact that,it cann't load the harddisk so as to enable to install the os.
Kindly i need your help
I'm trying to install Server 2012 R2 onto a Proliant ML350 G6 server that our school has, but am running into a number of issues.
First I reset BIOS to system defaults, checked USB options were enabled and that External DriveKey was the flash option. I then created a drive in RAID, inserted a SErver 2012 R2 USB created using Rufus and booted the server. It got past POST then tried to boot from USB and got Red Screen with Illegal OpCode.
So I found download for SPP 2017.04, created a USB using HP USB Key Utility, tried to boot from it, but it doesn't recognise it and just says that its a non-system disk.
I've tried different USB's, different versions of USB Key Utility but nothing seems to work.

Hi there.
Recently installed a Proliant ML350 Gen 10, running VMware: HPE Customized Image ESXi 6.7.0 Update 2 version 670.U2.10.4.1. Using a single NIC for the moment, and the iLO interface is also connected.
We are monitoring the machine remotely, using Check_MK, and noticed that there are packet errors on both the network interface used for VMware, as well as on the iLO interface. The errors are inbound only.
On the main NIC we see slightly less than 1% of errors, on the iLO NIC about 10%.
The switch shows no errors at all.
While debugging in VMware, I noticed that all errors are Receive length errors, indicating packet size issues.
Checked the interface, switch, monitoring system, all are set for MTU 1500, so I would not expect to see packets over 1500 bytes long. Yet, when I run tcpdump on VMware, there are large packets arriving.
This is the only Proliant that shows this behaviour. We have other Proliants under our watch, but not the same models, and none show any symptoms similar to this one.
So I am thinking that the NICs in this machine maybe use offloading to reassemble the fragmented packets before handing these over to the OS. However, I couldn't find anything related to this in VMware, so I am first seeking advice here to see if anyone has seen this too.
Does this make sense? Or does anyone else have any other explanation or experience?
Thanks, regards,
Jaap
Is there a guide for editing the grub.cfg menu on the bootable HPSUM ISOs?
I see some switches like AUTOPOWEROFFONSUCCESS but was wondering if there were more switches for bypassing the TPM, powering off on failure, etc.
Thanks.
According to the ILO Amplifier FAQ there should be an option to upload the files for a baseline using file upload but this option is not present. I have only recently setup the ILO amplifier and do notice that in any download I try I get version 1.50 when the latest is version 1.55 to my knowledge.
Is the version the issue and if so where can I get version 1.55?
We have a ML 110 GEN 10 server with Bronze 3104 processor .
is it possible to install windows 2008 R2 STD OS in this server ?
Hello,
I have a HP Proliant server that needs 2016 installed however, Windows cannot find the device drivers for the RAID controller in order to install onto the drives. Currently the server has 6 drives in RAID 10. Where can i find the drivers to this controller?
I've tried this link but it tells me that I dont have the correct permissions.

Hi All,
we are monitoring DL360 Gen10 by snmpwalk method, I face issue with cpqHeFltTolPowerSupplyCapacityUsed ( 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.9.3.1.7 ) is just returning 0's
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.6.2.9.3.1.7.0.1 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.6.2.9.3.1.7.0.2 = INTEGER: 0
Any idea?
Hello, I'm having a problem with an ML380p I just bought refurbished (so it's not covered under HP warranty or anything like that, but I was hoping someone here could help me anyway).
I've read through the forums that a lot of people had problems with fans spinning at 100% even in cool conditions with low server load.
I'm having that same problem with my server. I've read through the forums and tried every solution I've found. I've upgraded the firmware. I've tried disabling iLO since people said it can be caused by iLO. I've made sure the BIOS settings is set to optimal cooling, which was the official solution to this problem in the help base. However, even with all of that done, all of my fans spin at max speed and are deafeningly loud.
I'm not getting any error messages at all, and I'm at wit's end. I've searched all over Google but I just can't find any solution other than the ones I've tried to no luck. Is there anyone else who has solved this problem by another means than the ones I've already listed and tried?
Servus Community,
Yesterday we created a new logical volume in the Command Line Interface with the following command:
/opt/smartstorageadmin/ssacli/bin/ssacli ctrl slot=0 create type=ld drives=1I:1:17,1I:1:18,1I:1:19,1I:1:20,1I:1:21,1I:1:22,1I:1:23 raid=6
The volume was immediately visible in the web GUI of our ESX 6.5 and we were able to create a new data store there. This is also usable and we already install some VMDKs there.
What we don't know is the status of the Parity Initialization Progress display, which is still at 0%. For another volume, which already existed and was not created with the CLI, but in the controller BIOS, it will be displayed there: Initialization Completed:
For the new, CLI created volume we got this output:
---snip---
/opt/smartstorageadmin/ssacli/bin/ssacli ctrl slot=0 ld 2 show

Logical Drive Label: 06C4F007PDNLH0BRH78D1217CE

LD Acceleration Method: Controller Cache
---snap---
And for the existing, controller BIOS created Volume, we got this output:
---snip---
[root@localhost:/opt/smartstorageadmin/ssacli/bin] ./ssacli ctrl slot=0 ld 1 show
Smart Array P440ar in Slot 0 (Embedded)

We assume that the output 0% is incorrect, but it would be interesting what we have to do, to update it, to the current correct value...
Thx & Bye Tom
Hey,
in HPE i have 2 minor messages (yellow).
-Management Processor Status
-There is a minor problem that is causing limited interference
when i connect to the ilo, there is no error. SNMP Settings are correct.
we have different proliant version (dl380p gen8 -> ml350 and so on).
The Message is arbitrarily and not on one hardware version.
what could be the problem?
thank and regards

Hi!
I've been trying to upgrade my oneview installation from 4.20.01-0380241 to 5.00.00.02.
Unfortunately my certificate has expired, and it the installation kind of stops due to that. (I Assume)
"The appliance update has failed because the appliance web server certificate is expired."
"Resolution Regenerate a new appliance self-signed certificate or re-import a new CA signed appliance certificate. Then retry update."
Fine, i will generate a new certificate, but i receive the error when importing the certificate:
The CA certificate with common name %My CA name% used for signing the incoming certificate with common name %My Common Name% is not a trusted certificate.
Add the certificate and retry the operation. To add the missing certificate you can use import certificate option under Settings -> Security -> Manage certificates."
I've found a different thread where it says that to import the appliance certificate, i will have to do it from Settings - Security - Actions - Import Appliance Certificate (Which is how i try to import the certificate now)
Also, i have noticed that the "Application Certificate" when browsing certificates has changed to a self-signed certificate with what looks like some default settings. (Happened after i attempted to upgrade the appliance)
