Looking for Windows 10-64 bit drivers of HPE Proliant ML150 G6 Server

How can I get all the relevant drivers for HPE Proliant ML150 G6 Server for Win 10 - 64 bit. I specifially look for display and volume drivers.


ML350P Fan noise is too high under low load.

Hy all, I have an ML350P server that, at the moment, contains only an SSD with Ubuntu Server that is connected to the Intel Sata 1 interface. However, fans are always at 34/35% of speed and the noise is quite annoying, especially because we keep it in our office. The server hosts also a dedicated GPU that is foundamental four our research in machine learning.

Reading the other threads about this issue it appears to be caused by the absence of HPE certified hard disks. The server has a raid board p420i. I would like to know what's you opinion about:

- Deactivating the P420i board may solve the issue?

- Buying even a single HPE disk may solve the issue?

- May the SSD (WD) cause issues even if there is a certified HPE disk installed?

- Can the GPU be the problem?

iLO5 no access via web and no ping

Dears,
Not able to access ILO5 2.10 via Web Viewer (it was working normally), No Ping to it.
I am able to acess it via HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility and using manual IP and Shared Network port (Enable LOM).
I have the latest SPP installed.
I have reset it and set to factory defaults (using the HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility) and restarted the Server unsuccessfully.

HP Smart Array B320i RAID Cannot Find Drives

Issue:  The newly refurbished DL360e Gen8 cannot see any hard drives, have reset all back to factory settings in BIOS, have ran the HP Smart Array B320i nRAID Controller with no success.  Have went into HP ROM-Base Setup Utility HP ROM-Base Setup Utility,  primary array controller cannot been configured with ORCA. Cannot create logical drive, choose RAID, add physical drives to it also when loading the operating systemit shows no drives.  

The below message is what is being received and where I end up cannot get into ACU or ADU as these are not listed.

 

HP Dynamic Smart Array B320i RAID Controller v4.8 detects 0 Logical Volumes 1785-Drive Array Not Configured.  Run Array Configuraiton Utility.

1709-Drive Array - One or more attached hard drive could not be authenicated. (All are HP Drives Confrmned)

Smart Array will not control LEDs to these drives. Run ACU or ADU to learn which could into be validated.

Press F5 to run Smart Storage Admin.

 

 

 

DL380p Gen8 iLO 4 WebGUI doesn't load. Putty/SSH works without issue.

Hi, everyone. The WebGUI of my iLO 4 will not load. I have tried the entire process outlined in this post:

... But it did not bring any solution and I still get a "This site can't be reached."

I can Putty/SSH without issue, and all of the settings via F8 (iLO settings) are correct. I can also get into Intelligent Provisioning without issue and all those features are fine. This is the only host (of 9) on the network that is doing this, and I can ping the iLO without issue so I can rule out a network problem. 

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you for your time. 

iLo runs very slowly

I have problems with iLo4 running very slow on DL380e G8. On "iLO Event Log" tab I see critical warning: "Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Embedded media manager failed initialization".

So far I've tried resetting iLo and BIOS, updating firmware for iLo (BIOS is still on P73 02/10/2014).

Are there any know solutions to this ?

High Fan Noise DL380 Gen10

Intermittently the Fans noise goes high without reason (all fans stay around 50% speed [checked in iLO5]), and the problem cannot be solved until cold restart or disconnection of power and starting again. a Normal restart wont fix it.
There is notihing in the logs, and the CPU and RAM usage are quite normal.

I have the SPP 2019.12 installed and Windows Server 2016 updated.
Anyone had this issue and has resolve it?

P420i Controller Issue

I have a ProLiant ML50p Gen8 that I purchased refurbished and so far it has been a great server for my lab.  However, when I first configured it, I configured RAID 1  with the first 2 drives and now I am wanting to undo the RAID.  The server has a P420i controller and during the boot process, I can either hit F8, F5 or ESC.  Hitting F8 takes me into the Option ROM Configuration for Arrays (ORCA) utility but I am unable to delete the RAID.  Pressing F5 should take me into the HP Array Configuration Utility )ACU) but it doesn't and that is where I need to be to reconfigure the RAID.

How else can I reconfigure the RAID and why am I unable to get into the ACU?

All drivers and BIOS are up to date.


DL20 install OS on M.2 NVME

Hi

I have a new DL20 GEN10 Server and installed an internal M.2 NVME Drive. The drive is shown in BIOS and in SmartStorage Administrator.

How can I install an operatin system on this NVME? It does not show up in Intelligent Provisioning.

Any help is apreciated!

Hi

I have installed a NVME in the DL20 Gen10 Server for the Operating system. However, when the NVME is installed, Speed of Fan 1 & 2 is never below 71% (which is quite noisy) despite the temperature of the drive. Is there a setting to mangage this a bit mor "noise freindly" ?

To confirm, if I remove the NVME and boot the OS from a drive bay, all is fin, fans regulate depending on load and temperature.

I have a remote server with slow internet access.  I need to update the P440AR Smart Array.  Booting the ISO for SPP from the ILO times out and never boots.  I tried to use the install method from the firmware install notes by loading the zip file to the ESXi host.

But I get the error message when executing the file.

Unable to create scratch directory

!!!Error detected ... preserving working files for analysis

Is there a more detailed installation instruction?  

I am not the administrator of the system, just tasked with finding a solution.

Impossible to update îlo, impossible to boot provisioning média recovery.
The screen fix itself at hpe load image after boot.

ML310e Gen8 v2 not able to hot swap power supplies

I have a ML310e Gen8 v2 server with the redundant backplane and 2 x 460w power supplies installed (part no 643931-001). 

I have noticed that redundancy upon unplugging the cord or loss of AC supply works as expected, but I notice that if I disconnect and remove a power supply by pressing the tab and removing it from the server, upon re-inserting it and re-connecting the AC, the green LED stays off.

After a while, iLO reports the system health as "OK" and both power supplies "Redundant", but the LED on the PSU remains dark.  In reality, the redundancy is not there and removing the other PSU causes the server to fail.

I would have expected the re-inserted PSU to power up with a green LED and redundancy to begin functioning as before.  Additionally, if I then disconnect the AC from the re-inserted power supply, iLO still reports system health as OK!  It seems it gets 'confused' when the PSU is hot-plugged.

I note that the manual requests you power down the server before inserting a power supply, but this seems to conflict with the "hot swap" capability.  Do these servers only provide redundancy for power loss, and are not hot swap, or do I have a problem?

BIOS is P78 04/04/2019,  iLO firmware is 2.73 Feb 11 2020,  and the Power Management Controller Firmware is version 3.1

Proliant ML110 Gen10 Controller and Video Issues

I have a Proliant ML 110 Gen10 server that I am using as a Terminal Server with Windows 2012 R2. It has a single Intel Xeon Bronze 3104 1.7 Ghz CPU, a 1TB 3 drive RAID 5 array made from 3 500GB SSD drives and the controller is a HPE Smart Array S100i SR.  The server is used primarily for about 10 to 20 users for general purpose use and to run a couple of specialized app that are also located on this server. The server has worked flawlessly until The Covid-19 lockdown started. We now have anywhere from 25 to 40 users on the server at any given time. Since that time the server has been a problem. The main issues are slowness and freez ups. I also get two warnings that come up in the system logs that I believe are the reason for the lockups. 

1.) The first warning is Event ID 129 the Source is SmartDQa and the issue is  "Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued." This can happen 10 to 30 times an hour and I beleive this is the reason for the server freezing. If goes back to normal after 10-20 seconds, but then it always happens again a few minutes later. I did find that SmartDQa.sys is the driver for the S100i controller, but not sure why it continues to reset. I suppose it's possible that the controller just can't handle the load. But I was hoping that there may be a setting that can at least stop the resets from happening until everyone goes back to work and the server can go back to normal use. 

Is it possible that this driver may be corrupt and replacing it with a fresh copy could help?

2.) The second warning is Event ID 4101 The source is Display and the details are "Display driver BasicRender stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I have not witnessed this problem except for one time. It looks like the display just flickers for a second and then goes back to normal.

I can live with the display issue, but is this also something that could be caused by too many users? Or a corrupt driver? I updated the driver by installing the latest driver from the HPE website, but it still continues.

 

Any help on this would be appriciated. All of the users are getting pretty upset at this time. I have emailed all staff members and asked them to use as few apps as possible and logout each time they are done using a session to help lighten the load on the server. But I still see a ton of tabs open in chrome and a lot of memory, CPU and hard drive activity.

DL20 Gen10-Intelligent Provisioning not showing NVME drive as an install target

Hi

I have a similar Problem/Quention for a DL20 Gen10 I am currently working on. I could not get the Intelligent Provisioning to show me the NVME drive as an install target. What are the required steps to get this working?
Bios and Diagnostic is showing the drive propperly.

Good day!

I'm looking into remediation of a vulnerability for self-signed certificates on our Systems Management Homepage.

I've found how to do the remediation manually, individually for a server, but I have about 3500 servers to remediate.  I'm interested to see if HPE has a method of creating the CSR by script, and we can submit the requests to our CA.
