DL360 Gen10 + Windows Server 2012 unable to boot into
Hi all
Need help with this one, got a DL360 Gen10 Server running 1x 240 SSD supplied by HPE (VK000240GWTSV)
The BIOS picks up and installs Windows Server 2012 R2 fine via the Inteligent Provisioning terminal
For a while everything going okay, but somehow out of the blue after a few days something causes the machine to restart and puts the Windows boot Loader into 'automatic repair' mode, in which causes the drive in question to no longer be picked up.
I go into the shell and run diskpart, which the drive in question is not listed
I can still see the SSD in the RAID Configruation screen (although not configured as a RAID Drive), and I had plugged the drive into my Windows 10 laptop to see if the data is still there (which it is), however unless I reinstall the OS (which I am trying to avoid), i am stumped
Any ideas?
Also hypothetically - could a 3rd party NIC cause this to occur? or have I got a lemon
HP dl360g9 server problems------HP DL360G9
After the calibration, a few minutes later, the time will be 8 hours slower than the normal time. The main board electronics are new or not replaced once and many times, which can't be solved. If you want to know whether you need to set the time in the boss or where the problem is, the system can't be solved even if you install n of them. I hope God can solve it
ProLiant DL360 Gen10 and NVIDIA Tesla T4
Hi,
I want to know if it is possible to in a ProLiant DL360 Gen10 8SFF with 2 processors, attach 2 NVIDIA Tesla T4 16GB and 16Gb Dual Port Fibre Channel HBA? Because the GPUs will use the PCIe.. and Fibre Channel HBA also will need a PCIe. It is possible?

2 GPUs on dl380 g7
Im trying 2 install 2 gpu cards on my dl380 g7
#1 Quadro k620 for computation
#2 Quadro nvs 310 for monitor output.
I connected the k620 to the riser card and the nvs 310 using an x16 to x1 molex powered riser directly to the motherboard (without connecting any extra power to the molex)
When i tried to start the system, the system health led turned red and the system didnt start. But things got back to normal when i removed the 2nd gpu.
Any idea what the problem is and how i can install both GPUs?

ProLiant DL380 Gen9 SPP Upgrade
Hi, all.
We are planning to upgrade the SPP of our servers using the p26940_001_spp-2020.03.0-spp2020030.2020_0319.22
Just want to ask everyone if someone already tried it on a vSAN Cluster and if there's any compatibility issue on it?
Thanks in advance.

HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 - Replacing Smart Array P440ar
Dear Community,
I´m in trouble with a Smart Array P440AR Controller embedded in a DL380 Gen9 machine due to a reported cache memory failure (Error 1797: Write Back Cache Backup Previously Failed. Caching is permanently disabled. Action: Replace the Cache Module).
At first, I´ve upgraded the firmware to the latest version (V7.00) and renewed the battery. Then tried to recover the cache module via Smart Storage Administrator. The function ends up with "Recover failed due to an unknown error".
The server runs fine so far, but with cache disabled.
Because the cache module seems to be soldered on the controller board, I´ve obtained a new replacement P440AR controller, which has Firmware V4.52 programmed by factory.
Could you please help me and give hints on how to >safely< replace the board:
- Can I connect the Disk-Set without risk for data to new 4.52 controller, altough it has been in access by the old (fw 7.00) controller before?
- Or is the a procedure to upgrade the new controller to fw 7.00 without having the Raid-Set connected (Set is Server´s Boot-Device), and connect the Disks for the first time afterwards? Thought about that it might be possible to use a bootable Windows-on-DVD distribution via S-ATA DVD-drive while the Raid-Set remains disconnected, just to execute the fw upgrade installer package.
Many thanks in advance, any support would be much appreciated,

HPE ML30 Gen10 unable to see HPE 240GB SATA MU M.2 2280 DS SSD
Purchased a ML30, 4x 4Tb HDD and a HPE 240GB SATA MU M.2 2280 DS SSD. All HP breed.
I've tried just about all I can see in the 'bios', and cannot get the SSD to be visible anywhere.
Tips and tricks appreciated, before I give up and send it all back and by an Intel box. like I used too.

ESXI Power Module - Warning with Voltage
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with that Proliant - ESXI problem.
I am running ESXI 6.7 on my ProLiant DL160 G6. Basically everything is fine and VMs are running smoothly!
However, my ESXI gives me a warning like that:
Power Module (DC-to-DC) 6 P1V5_DDR3_CPU2 --> 1.35 Volts (red flag warning)
Power Module (DC-to-DC) 3 P1V5_DDR3_CPU1 --> 1.34 Volts (red flag warning)
Now I have no idea at all, if that is a problem or not....
I already swapped my RAM with other modules but the error stays the same. Is that Voltage level a problem? Should I be worried?
I would be happy for any hint or intel, as I am not really big into details about that server hardware. I am basiclly only running VMs on that machine and am pretty happy with it so far. But now I am concerned about possible risks...
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Mario
Installed Clear OS on HP DL60 G9. Not seen at boot time.
I have installed ClearOS on my HPE DL60 G9. I installed it as a direct boot from USB since intelligent provisioning would only give me the option to install from DVD (Which this machine does not have)
Now, when I boot it doesn't see the OS on drive one but instead skips through to a PXE boot and gets stuck. It eventually reboots with the same result repeatedly.
I saw he drive light spinner on drive one running when the installation was being done.. What am I missing?
This is my first HPE server and my first server in general.
This is a two drive system. I only selected on to install to and cleared the hardware RAID configuration.

DL380p G8, RAID 10 strange activity lights
Hello Community,
My name is Bogdan and i am new here, so please be gentle
I have recently bought 2 DL380p G8 with 12 LFF disks and I see strange behaviour on activity lights.
First off all you have to know that I am using nonHP disks but new ones and I dont have any problem in ILO or on POST, all the hard disk are recognized ok and they work perfect.
When I create RAID 10 between 6 x 2TB SATA disks, activity ring is running constantly even after 3-4 days (so it is not initialization), NON-STOP, it doesn't stop like on RAID 1 or 5 where it stays off and goes on only if it have activity. This issue is present with empty array in RAW format and also when I create NTFS/ReFS volume. I know some will say that it is because I use nonHP drives but:
- this doesn't happen if I use RAID 0 on each drive or all in a RAID 0 array ( here, activity ring it goes on only when there is activity) so there are no signaling problems in RAID 0
- it happens to show some activity on disks if I use RAID 5 but not so much like on RAID 10
- it appears there is a RAID 10 specific behaviour.
- all the other RAID arrays ( 0 and 1 ) doesent show any activity ( SSD and hard drives )
What I want to know:
do you have the same problem with activity ring in RAID 10 config?
is this only a activity light problem from firmware/caddy or there is real work from raid controller to hard disks?
can i use some commands in CLI to see if the controller ( P420i ) it is actualy doing something with hard disks from the array or maybe it is just a signaling problem?
Every where I look ( ILO, Insight manager, RAID config. software ) everything is good or OK, no problems, nothing, only Activity Ring that it circles permanently. I am afraid not to damage or create fatigue on hard drives and reduce there life time.
I post my firmware versions but I think it is all new or what I found to upgrade.

Configuring B120i Controller
Hey folks.
I've been trying to configure B120i in my DL380e Gen8 for a few hours now. I'm trying to configure it with one 120GB SSD (server is used for testing purposes).
I booted into Intelligent Provisioning. When I select the controller, I'm greeted with the following errors (please check picture). Cables are correcly connected and SSD is in correct bay.
Are there any solutions to this?
Deploy SPP bundle with SCCM application, how to control if the deployment is a success?
Hi, Deploy SPP bundle with SCCM application, how to control if the deployment is a success?
I have made several OSD deployment of Windows Server to HPE proliant servers with success. I just have a package in the TS that trigger the "hpsum_bin_x64.exe". I have not had any special control, I just workt verry well in general.
Now have the hardware folks asked if I can find a way to deploy the HPE during service maintenance window for our servers. They use OneView it works well for administration of HPE servers, but not deploying update SPP. I have also looked in to deploy with the new third party updates and cant find this a option for now. It is till a hack for HPE SPP. and the SPP is to old.
Then with SCCM I can use Application mavbe in a application TS for upgrade old SPP.
I will build an SCCM Application for test, but I would like to understand if the SPP upgrade is finish with success or not and bult in a detection for this.
So how to check SPP installation, logs apps..?
