We have ProLiant DL580 Gen10 server with P824i-p MR Gen10 controller (870658-B21). There are 2 logical drives configured:
Array 1: 2x480 Gb SATA SSD disks RAID 1
Array 2: 12x1920 Gb SATA SSD disks RAID 6
We want to expand Array 2 by 2x1920 Gb SATA SSD disks. There is no option "Expand" in MR Storage Administrator. Could you please help us to resolve the problem?

We are facing an issue with HP SFP+ 455888-001 Transceiver on server HPE DL360 Gen10 8SFF 2x6130 32G 408i AC.
Our server has and Optical card HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-p 562FLR-SFP+ Adaptr and when insert the HP SFP+ 455888-001 in the optical port of the server it seems this Tranceiver is not dected by our server.
Does someone know if the HPE SFP+ 455888-001 Transceiver is compatible with HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-p 562FLR-SFP+ Adaptr netwok card on HPE DL360 Gen10 8SFF 2x6130 32G 408i AC server ?
If not could you provide us the product code of a the HPE compatible transceiver to be used ?

Right now we have a Dell R730 with:
Intel E5-2680 v4 - 24 of 56 vcores available
RAM 22 of 128 available
HDD 1,9 of 5,5 TB Available
We have just the regular things like AD, Exchange, SQL but want to add a Terminalserver for 40 Users (Regular office apps, no heavy workload). And i think the Database and Terminalserver running on SSD's would be a nice performance boost.
So thanks in advance for your recommends.

I am using HPE Proliant ML310e gen V2 Server. Recently I deleted my raid configuration and tried to create a new one. When I restarted and tried to log in to Intelligent provisioning but It was not working.
first, it shows " GRUB LOADING " after pressing F10,
Then I installed Intelligent provisioning as per the HP instruction ( Versions - 1.5, 1.6, 1.7). The installation was successful, and the GRUB LOADING error is gone.
But not it is stuck on the black screen with a blinking cursor after pressing F10. Kindly help me out to solve this issues.

i just bought an used Proliant DL380 G7 from Ebay and i wonder which hpe hdds i can use. I found this site https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c02755440#N10012
But the problem is i cant find any of those hard drives on any online shop. Is it possible that i use "newer" hard drives that arent listed for this server? Hello to all. I'm searching information, confirmation or cases of successful install phy nvidia quadro p2000 on this server. The official datasheet for this server says i can install m2000, m4000, p4000, tesla t4. But the datasheet for gen10 has information about support p2000.
I don't understand why this server officialy not support this card, but support next generation phy?

I install two OS in my new DL20 Gen10 Server for homelab, one intel SSD with Windows Server 2019 OS, and Esxi 7.0 with HPE custom ISO install to USB disk inside of chassis.
When I select boot to win server 2019 , the three fan are lower to 6%,6%,18% . I run spp to install agnetless and other driver.
But when I reboot and select F11 to esxi 7.0, the fan 3 is up to 48%. The esxi 7 is install by hpe custom iso, and it include agentless , in iLo page show agentless is OK.
Same hardware but different fan rate ? the bios and fan control function is real need to check.
I choose DL20 for homelab, so the noise is something I care about. I have a ruck install my switch and DL20 G9,DL320Ev2 Gen8 server. they are ok fan noise with Esxi 6.7u3.

i've just installed ILO Amplifier Pack 1.70
i've added the cert from the appliance to vcenter
i'm trying to add my vcenter but it does nothing, i click add, i get the prompt for the vcenter fqdn, username, password. i enter these and press submit. nothing happens
any ideas
If I lauch SSA from the BIOS during system boot, it's showing version 2.60.18.0. Going through iLo or the System Management Homepage I have version 4.15.6.0. As such, I can't do anything with the SSA configuration from the boot screen because it says my arrays were configured with a newer version. How can I update the BIOS version to match the iLo and Management version?
We have Proliant DL380 Gen9 server, Would like to ask, How we can expand the disk space in secondary drive without data loss? We have the configuration as below:
Running Smart Array P440ar Controller with 2 x 450GB SSD SFF [RAID 1 configuration]drive #1, and 4 x 960GB SSD SFF [RAID 10 configuration].drive #2. The storage bay still have 2 available SFF hard disk slot.
Would like to ask, Is it possible to directly add 2 x 960GB SSD SFF new hard disk to expand the drive #2 RAID 10 configuration without having loose and data? Kindly please help to advise.
My Smart HBA H240 disable drive and write:
The drive contains Smart Array or Smart HBA configuration data and has been disabled in order to protect the configuration data. Please run "clear configuration data command" on the drive to re-enable it
Please tell me, how i can run this command for enable drive?

Hi All
I purchased the switch card and the express bay backplane separately so I don't have the cables connecting the two. Then I used a Gen8 wide mini-sas cable connecting the two, I went head and try to run the firmware upgrade tool from redhat./spp. In both cases the update tool recognized the backplan but didn't obtain the firmware version and then tried to update the back plane firmware. The process failed with error code 42. When I plug in nvme drives, the leds simply flashed and the drives didn't get recognized.
The question is did I use the correct cable? I contacted tech support about the part number for the cables they couldn't find any. Does anyone have this setup and could you look at the cable and read the part/spare number on it?

hi, i have a ML350 G6.
in bios i set it to low power and it runs only windows 10 and are not much in use.
before it was quiet but now its noisy and loud and fast fan speed.
it runs on newest bios. what can i do to reduce the fan speed. it has just disks inside.

Имеется проблема на сервере DL380Gen9, с установленными контроллерами Smart Array P440ar, P441.
После замены прошивки контроллеров до версии 7.00, состояние модуля кэширования в аварии (Cache Module Status Failed), Smart Storage Battery Status OK. Наблюдается очень сильная потеря производительности массива.
Есть ли еще варианты решения данной проблемы?

I have a DL380 Gen10 server. The Security setting of ILO 5 has changed to High security due to an error.I can't log in to the web even using the ILO username and password on the server label.I tried to remove the coin cell batteries for 30 minutes and nothing happened.Accessing the ILO5 configuration under BIOS also requires a username and password, but I haven't set that at all... Trying to use the ILO username and password on the label still doesn't help...
Please help me...
ML380 Gen9 fresh install of Windows 2016 Virtual Host with 3 VM's. I've installed SMH and the service is running but I cant access it at http://servername:2381/. Page just times out. What can I check?
